That sounds awesome! Like a bible study really.
May I ask what made you uncomfortable?
It just felt that people didn't want to move with the Spirit. We had a number of messages or prophesies but all that happened was a pat on the back for the speaker and then precisely nothing. There seemed to be no vision any more and they were so introverted. A few times I felt ready to leave but felt God still wanted me there but when that feeling left so did I, and Ray had left a good while before me.

Let me begin right here...Since when has the CC ever recognised the Lord's Day? See Mark 2:28 to see which day the Lord Himself said was His day. As for the remainder of the texts you gave, what they reveal is that the CC has turned itself into a counterfeit...a gross earthly copy of heavenly things; but done so in her own power in an attempt to look the part, without the power.
Here is an example...a copy of the throne room in heaven...antichrist pure and simple.

View attachment 6036

You do not teach the book of revelation. You misuse it and abuse it. You twist it to serve your own self interests. One fine example is your church's propaganda attempt to make the woman of Revelation 12 to be Mary, the mother of Jesus. And then completely ignore the accuracy of the symbolism of your own church described in Revelation 17:1-6

The images worth a thousand words... and it exposes the heart of the Rcc and it's love for placing itself on the throne of God. It is the counterfeit and exact opposite of what the Bible teaches the followers of Jesus.

We could have the same story. The last Church I attended was like yours. Many standoffish and not so nice people. Despite my wanting to leave several times. like yourself, I also felt God did not want me gone yet. So, when last year, after my 10 weeks non weight baring on left foot ended, I started going again and the reception or lack thee of hurt me pretty much, I especially couldn't believe how downright, in your face shunning and rude she was. I never even got a greeting from her when I joined the Church. Since I had started going there, another campus of my old Church opened near me!!!!!!!!!!!! Oh how happy I was when I found out so. I made an appointment with him to tell him I would be going back to my old place of worship. I only said that I did not have a good fit at his church...did NOT mention his wife but did say true fellowship and love seem to be missing quite a bit. So, he said I was welcome back anytime, the doors are open, I said thank you and God Bless you and your family, and walked out for the last time. Church people can hurt us like no other. It's like a death when you are rejected for no reason whatsoever! Many cliques at that Church, sad.
Im glad we now have a Church home!

A day is coming when all will be revealed. All the big talkers, all the subterfuge, all the lies, all the slippery and not so slippery yada yada will be exposed to shame and everlasting contempt.
Being in the wrong camp will be a loss unimaginable.
You're absolutely right - the Day IS coming when ALL will be revealed - and being in the wrong camp WILL be a loss unimaginable. The prospects is frightening - for Protestants.

Of the tens of thousands of perpetually-splintering Protestant sects that ALL teach different doctrines based on ONE man's interpretations - WHICH one is the "correct" one? Can you tell me?

NOT
all of your splintered sects are separated by "non-essentials". Many are as essential for salvation as it gets and are as different as night and day.

- Some Protestant denominations believe in baptismal regeneration, while others do not.
- Some believe in soul-sleep, while others do not.
- Some believe in the total depravity of man, while others do not.
- Some believe in the Holy Trinity, while others do not.
- Some believe in doctrine of “once saved, always saved”, while others do not.
- Some believe in a pre-tribulation “Rapture”, while others do not.
- Some believe that only those who were predestined will make it to heaven, while others do not.
- Some believe that most were predestined for hell, while others do not.
- Some believe in a woman’s right to choose abortion, while others do not.
- Some believe that practicing homosexuality is a sin, while others do not.
- Most believe in contraception, while others do not – and the list goes on . . .

So, why don't YOU tell us which is the "correct" denomination?
And don't tell me that it must be a "Bible-believing" church because they ALL believe themselves to be "Bible-believing" churches. Be specific.

I eagerly await your findings . .

And I'm telling you as an educated Catholic that IF they were ever even Catholic - they were ignorant Catholics.
So what?! They still know what their experiences were. They were probably, "good Christians but bad Catholics", as Ravi Zacharias notes. ;)

The things you described about them illustrate an all-too-familiar outline of typicaln "CINO's" - or "Catholics in Name Only". People who simply cluttered the pews for a time until they were seduced out of the Church by a partial version of the truth via Protestant Christianity
Actually, the former RCs whom I know, say that they started reading the Bible and realized that the version of "Christianity" presented by the RCC was a "partial truth".

No - "Us", as in educated Catholics. Besides - the only "threat" I've leveled against you is the same one I've given to ALL of the ignorant anti-Catholics here: If you don't want me to expose you - then don't lie. It's really that simple.
See--here's the thing: I'm not lying so what is it that you think you are "exposing"? Tell me, do you call all non-Catholic Christians "liars" or just those who dislike the RCC?

I'm only "rude" because you don't like to be caught lying . . .
No, you are rude all on your very own. ;)

Actually - I don't really know if many of you ARE actually "brethren. Some of your aberrant theologies are so bizarre that they routinely blur the line between Christianity and the cults.
Sorry to disappoint you but I hold to traditional, Biblical orthodoxy.
So, you have to forgive me if I don't always treat you as "brethren."
If you actually knew anything about the REAL faith, you would pay attention to the admonition, "As far as it depends on you, be at peace with all humans." We have voiced legitimate criticisms of the RCC and you are just "spoiling for a fight". What about "turning the other cheek"?

I'm actually having a great time watching you jump in-and-out of "Ignore" mode - although I don't really believe you ever had me on ignore to begin with.
See--there you go again with your false accusations. I DO have you on "ignore" and have for some time.

Anyway - BE HONEST and I won't have to correct you anymore . . .
You don't "correct lies"--you rudely insult and belittle others who don't agree with you--just like some little schoolyard bully. You are pathetic.

Today most preachers teach denominational doctrine, not the Bible.

I know a (raised RC) Lutheran pastor who I asked about his thoughts on pre-Trib, post-Trib, Rapture, etc. He replied that the Lutherans are officially amillennial, so he teaches that, but he is himself a believer in the Pre-Trib Rapture. When I asked him why he chose the Pre-Trib Rapture position for himself, he said that it follows the Bible more closely than any other theology of the End.

The Catholic Church has recognized the Lord's Day since He first Resurrected. The Sabbath is the Sabbath - NOT the Lord's Day.
YOU forget what JESUS Himself said about the Sabbath in the verse that precedes this:

Mark 2:27

The Sabbath was made for MAN, not man for the Sabbath.

This is typical of your anti-Catholic dishonesty . . .
Here is an example...a copy of the throne room in heaven...antichrist pure and simple.
View attachment 6036
And this is yet another example of your complete and total dishonesty.
You're used this picture before - and I had to correct you.

It is simply a photograph of a papal mass with other bishops as concelebrants. It is an incomplete photo because it doesn't show everybody else involved in the Mass. Doesn't even show ll of the altar servers.
In other words - it's just another dishonest, counterfeit attempt to paint a picture of something that doesn't exist.

Don't you ever get sick of being caught in lies??

Soooooo, Jesus, the "child" being born in Rev. 12:1-5 wasn't born of Mary??
The Gospels tell a different story. Rev. 12:1-5 is a reference to the prophecy in Gen 3:15.

As for the "Whore of Babylon" - MOST scholars agree that it is apostate Jerusalem.
WHO is Babylon?? Pagan Rome.
WHO got "into bed" with Pagan Rome against the Early Church?? Apostate Jerusalem.
WHO killed the prophets and persecuted the Early Church?? Apostate Jerusalem. She is "drunk on the blood" of God's holy ones (Rev. 17:6).
WHO sits on 7 Hills?? Jerusalem.

Don't blame the Catholic Church because YOU'RE Biblically illiterate . . .
The images worth a thousand words... and it exposes the heart of the Rcc and it's love for placing itself on the throne of God. It is the counterfeit and exact opposite of what the Bible teaches the followers of Jesus.
Only if you're completely ignorant - but look who I'm talking to . . .

Funny that NONE of your Protestant Fathers believed in this fallacy. WHY is that??

Tell me - why is it that this only became fashionable after John Nelson Darby invented it in England in the 1830's?? Was everybody else in history wrong - including your Protestant Fathers??
Where was this teaching before Darby??

We must realize Not all people in churches are saved regardless of what they might think. True salvation produces fruit and sanctification.
I've come to realize also, that the people that get drawn to Christianity are far from having it together. The people in churches very often have problems /issues, they can look fine on the outside but inside be damaged. People come from dysfunctional families and backgrounds with a lot of baggage, or have personality flaws that will take awhile for God to deal with. I find praying for them while not taking anything they do personally helps. A while ago I made this decision to expect nothing from others & not to take anything personally and not to let my feelings be easily hurt or offended and let go of resentments. After much prayer after some experiences in the past of disappointment , I attended church with the motivation to serve rather then be served, to treat others how I wanted to be treated regardless of their attitude or actions. If there was any bad vibe , I let it go, I found it made the disappointments less and me much happier with my focus upon worship & bible study the relationships slowly developed.

No - it makes them LIARS.
I pointed out many things that were simply untrue in their supposed claims.

If they were "good Christians" then they wouldn't bear false witness.
Actually, the former RCs whom I know, say that they started reading the Bible and realized that the version of "Christianity" presented by the RCC was a "partial truth".
How so??
See--here's the thing: I'm not lying so what is it that you think you are "exposing"? Tell me, do you call all non-Catholic Christians "liars" or just those who dislike the RCC?
Nope - just the ones like YOU who make up myths, fairy tales and conspiracy theories out of thin air.
That's called "lying".

I have NO problem with non-Catholics who practice their faith and choose not to LIE as you do.
No, you are rude all on your very own.
You don't "correct lies"--you rudely insult and belittle others who don't agree with you--just like some little schoolyard bully. You are pathetic.
Only because you got caught lying.

You're like the proverbial school kid who gets caught doing something bad. If the principal lets him off the hook - he's a "cool guy". However - if the principal admonishes or punishes him - all of a sudden, he is "nasty" and "mean".

So - behave yourself here and don't lie - and I won't have to embarrass you in public anymore . . .
Sorry to disappoint you but I hold to traditional, Biblical orthodoxy.
And that SAME claim is made by every other one of the tens of thousands of disjointed and perpetually-splintering Protestant sects that ALL teach different doctrines based on their own interpretations. Not to mentions the millions of "Lone Ranger" Christians out there interpreting the Bible for themselves and inventing even MORE doctrinal confusion.
If you actually knew anything about the REAL faith, you would pay attention to the admonition, "As far as it depends on you, be at peace with all humans." We have voiced legitimate criticisms of the RCC and you are just "spoiling for a fight". What about "turning the other cheek"?
No - a "legitimate" criticism would be something like, "Why do you tell your sins to a priest?"

What YOU have done is vomit out the most reprehensible lies, myths and fairy tales that you can muster that have NO basis in truth. Why would YOU, who claims to be a Christian tell me to "turn the other cheek" so you can LIE some more?? WHY would I do that??

Do you honestly believe that God is "pleased" when you lie - no matter WHO or WHAT the the subject is??
If you do, then you don't know God - which explains a LOT . . .

All of what you say is correct and the right thing to do. Yet, all those things you mentioned here were done by me to no adieu. I did not want my focus to be anywhere BUT on Jesus and serving others. Yet, I craved fellowship and, I did all the bible studies which were okay but, at at that Church, you were not allowed to speak up in the studies and especially not to challenge the "teachers" Although, there was 2 of the elders who taught that did NOT mind questions or comments but, they rarely were the teachers there.
When I left there, I did make an appointment with the Pastor to let him know I would be leaving and going back to my old Church since they had moved a 4th campus near me. I did tell him about the fellowship thing and feeling shunned by many there, even after 2 plus years of attending there. The women (who never attempted to get to know me and would start talking to others if I tried starting conversations with them. Some would even walk away during mid sentence! I have never attended a colder, more cliquey Church. Besides, I toughed it out and tried to put behind me a certain doctrine that I do NOT believe in and that my pastor at that time DID believe and, I prayed to look past that and focus on the words he did speak that I can get on board with. He understood where I was coming from and, gave me his blessing.
I don't believe we are always "meant for" just any local body...there are many more opportunities for me at my old Church...plus there are a good handful of my old Christian friends attending there so, being much more settled in my spirit, I do believe God drew me to my old/new Church...It's blessed me soooo much ♥
God Bless!
