Okay well I guess I will just list some highlights for me and if anyone wants to know more than just ask.Ok probably the coolest thing was this paralyzed man we prayed for. While we were praying over him he started crying but that happened alot then when we stopped praying we all looked up and he was MOVING! He could move with total freedom! No pain or anything! It was so amazing and it happened right in front of our eyes. There was another little girl that was born with one leg significantly longer than the other and it caused her ALOT of pain. She could barely walk. We asked if we could pray over her and afterwards she said that ALL the pain was gone and she started walking faster and playing with the other kids. It was...I can't even describe it.Another man had just broken his arm the week before and we prayed over him. After we prayed we asked him to take off his cast and move his arm. He did and there was no pain at all!!Another personal thing that was kind of cool is that I just went on the trip as a solo missionary but once I got there they made me a translator for my group so I got to see alot of amazing ministry in the streets and lots of people accept christ. There was one family in particular I really connected with. And there was a little boy that was about 9. About halfway through the week i was talking to him for like an hour, longest conversation I ever had in spanish. But he made a wooden cross and wrote "remember me" on it, with his name on the back. I was going to make him one that said the same thing with my name on the back and give it to him the next day. But I got real dehydrated that day and was in the field hospital for about 12 hours the next day. But I heard he was looking for me all day. I finally found him the day before we left and gave him the cross. It was such an amazing moment for me.

Another thing that my point of view really changed on is problems. These people lived in shacks...no they don't even deserve to be called shacks. They didn't have anything!! I mean we, americans, had to dig our own latrines while we where there. They're whole city is a giant dump!! Yet these people are so happy. It really backs the point that 99% of our problems in our amazingly blessed lives our beyond petty!! We complain and all sorts of things over nothing. People here fall into dangerous depression over the most ridiculous things. And its all b/c we have lost sight of whats important. We live such simple and blesssed lives that if one little insignificant thing doesn't go absolutely perfect we loose our freaking minds over it. Its just infuriating how self-centered and lazy people have become in America. This trip changed me, ALOT. And I am really having trouble being back in America, I just don't understand these people anymore. I feel like a foreigner. But the thing is, I prefer it this way. I don't want to be associated with this kind of lifestyle anymore. It is truly sickening. I can't wait to go back to Tijuana next year.

Thats brilliant, I had heard about simular siuations to what you describe. I think one of the problems with the western world is there is too much stuff. People spend years unhappy this lifestyle has no answers no amount of stuff sweet food affairs holidays will forfill people. I think is someways the depression is caused by a loss of meaning, what poitn is there in living to eat buy and love although it sounds odd without God everything is but a temporary nice. then the truth sets in, a darkness a consuming holes that makes you want to burst into tears run away from everything and no arms will make it better. God is only what forfills albeit for those that dont have faith, going back to nature living without the superficial things is very peaceful i have heard.

Reminds me of my pastor friend in Pakistan. It really seems to me that the less worldly junk that people hold onto- the easier it is to believe in the power of Jesus. Its kinda sad to me that the miracles you experienced are such a "big deal" to Christians. If people would throw away the world and embrace Christ, we would be experiencing miracles each and everyday. Anyway, God bless you FollowerofChrist- it seems God has opened you up to a little more of the world with this trip.

Theres always at least 1 more person you can touch Jag:pray:I know that, but I was speaking of wordly things. There's nothing to do here. All I want to do is Love. I do not want to do things that I thirst. I want to do the things that I thirst not.

Our God is Alive in the world today...He is Risen Oh man...thats just great man, the stories you shared were so inspiring. Especially when it is so hard to see Gods hand moving in this present day. And yet here are several instances of Gods hand moving. its so inspiring I'm completley jealous, I was trying to get on a couple mission trips but none worked out for me this summer. Hopefully next summer will work out. thank so much for sharing...it really made my day your brother in ChristRyan

Its really not, when your in a country like that where they have nothing you see God moving all the time. But Jesus saves the poor and downcast and in America...well thats not us. We make it so we can't see God through our worldly wealth.

So you actually saw these people healed instantly? Wow! I only hear of stories like this...but to hear them really increases my faith. Thanks for sharing! My daughter went on her first mission trip to Nicaroga (can't spell it) It really changed her out look too. She said those people had nothing, they would travel 2 hours on horse back to hear a 30 minute devotion. Their whole life was centered around God. She said they had nothing ( materially) but was happy. America is missing so much because of how materially blessed we are....we do not think we need God...In Ezekiel 16:49 it speaks of the sins of Sodom....pride, fullness of bread, abundance of idleness, neither did she strengthen the hand of the poor and needy...sounds like America!
