Having had the prophecy told to us by Paul in 2Timothy 3:1-10; “This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, Without natural affection, truce breakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, Traitors, heady, high minded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away. For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts, Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth. Now as Jannes and Jambres withstood Moses, so do these also resist the truth: men of corrupt minds, reprobate concerning the faith. But they shall proceed no further: for their folly shall be manifest unto all men, as theirs also was”, all truly fulfilled, what can the present true Christians possibly do to save the world?Should we, being in the presence of Our Father, just sit and wait on him, doing his good will for all true Christians and leaving the world to their fate?Dear, what can possibly be done to help all?

We can do nothing, but our father in heaven can do all things...nothing is impossible with God.As believers...one thing we can do is repent and pray!

christperfect, Just before Jesus went back to heaven he gave orders to his desciples, explaining to them what he wanted them, and us, to do for the world of unbelieving mankind, Matt 28:19,20, tells us to go forth and preach and baptize all who turn to God. Paul said the same thing, 2Tim 4:2. In what is called the Olivet Sermon Jesus indicated that the preaching work would be in full bloom, in the time just before the end of this system. Notice that Jesus said that the Good News of the KIngdom would be preached to all the nations and then the end would come, Matt 24:14. When Daniel gave his longrange prophecy about the march of the nations, he said that during the tem Kings the God of heaven would CRUSH and put and end to all these nations and the Kingdom would stand to time indefinite. God is indicating that the nations of the earth will not be converted, but they will be CRUSHED. Interestingly these ten Kings mentioned here in Dan 2:42-44, the TOES,are the same as the ten Kings mentioned at Rev 17:12. All these scriptures show that the world will not be converted but is to be destroyed. The reason for the destruction is because the world is ruled by Satan, 2Cor 4:3,4, Rev 12:9, 1John 5:19, John 12:31, 14:30, 16:11, Luke 4:5-8. Just before Jesus died, he said that his Kingdom was NO PART of this world, John 18:36,37. Jesus said that all his disciples were no part of the world, John 15:18-20, 17:16. We are also warned about being a friend of the world. If you are a friend of the world you are an enemy of God, James 4:4, 1John 2"15-17.

I struggle with this too. It helps I guess to look at it on a smaller scale. You can't do anything to save the world. But that may not be your job. Your role may be to mow the lawn for your widowed neighbor. Or to donate a dollar a day to a starving child. Just one, not all of them. Be part of the solution, let God take care of the rest.I agree with the above quote. With God, all things are possible.MyTwoCents

Yes, we can do nothing, If we are on our own, to change the world But with God, we can do great things. With God we can do impossible things. 6And the Lord said, "If you had faith like a grain of mustard seed, you could say to this mulberry tree, 'Be uprooted and planted in the sea,' and it would obey you. ( Luke 17:6) 20 So Jesus said to them, “Because of your unbelief; for assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you. (mathew 17:20) So what can we do to change the worldwe can believe in God and move mountains

No. No one can alter prophesy. God's decrees are irrevocable. Christians just do what God leads us to do, i.e. show God's love and forgiveness and spread the gospel.

There is one thing God can not do, and that is go against His own word. Otherwise He'd be a lier and we would all be doomed to hell. So, no there is nothing we can do, even as the whole body of Christ,to save this earth from distruction. HOWEVER, we need to be doing what we know to do, and not say 'Oh, well it won't make any difference anyways.' God is going to hold us each accountable for what we do or don't do. We can and better be leading as many people to Christ as possible before it's to late. That message should be the most important thing that consumes our thoughts, and that nothing else matters. When we are standing before God on judgment day, we will know then how petty everything else really is, but, we need to realize that now, while we can still do something about it. God said these things will come to pass. But, God also said He is our protector, provider, and savior. We also need to have faith in God to keep us from what the world must face. We are not of this world, but just passing through.

Since God doesn't contradict himself, then God doesn't go against His own prophecy either.

I think one of the best ways to change the world is learn all we can about God, learn what he expects of us and to live our faith on a daily bases. A person living his faith on a daily bases is one of the best sermons any one can put forth to non-believers.Tool" If people spent less time arguing their beliefs and more time living them the world would improve greatly in no time at all. An individual had the idea to start the Red Cross or the Salvation Army. One person can change the world but we can't force the world to change. It's starts in our own backyard. Clean up our own acts; exercise our faith in Jesus Christ; repent of our own sins; and become good examples. Don't hide our lamps under a bushel. Luke11:33, "No man, when he hath lighted a candle, putteth it in a secret place, neither under a bushel, but on a candlestick, that they which come in may see the light."

christperfect, Remember that Jesus said that only a few would get in throught the narrow gate, Luke 13:23,24. Daniel told many prophecies for our day. The prophecy at Dan 2:44,45, 2:31-35, is speaking about our day. Notice that this prophecy does not say all people would be converted. This prophecy tells that God is going to CRUSH and put an end to all the kingdoms ruling during the end time, and set up a kingdom, government, that will never be destroyed. This is the Kingdom we all pray for when we pray the Lord's Prayer, Matt 6:9-13.
