Is there even one person here who is going to try to claim that they have not made presumptions about other posters because of their inadequate or careless handling of the English language? (I'd be a little suspect of just how truthful you might be in other areas. LOL)

You have a right to your opinion.

I make my position crystal-clear and then wait for comment.

What you seem to want is to develop an opinion the discussion.

But debate is presenting different opinions with supporting statements.

As well, by giving a fully fleshed opinion it gives seekers on an issue something for them to personally analyze and weigh out.

I cannot see how you label that negative.

Actually, I think I have not posted a video for three days. And often post more than half of my comments as other than videos.

An image is not a video. A smilie is an image.

Okay, yes, I can go with you there.

My 'opinion' is, I prefer it when you talk on here to us. :)
/ write.

But I agree, that is just my opinion. Which is worth nothing. lol

Bless you....H

Of course everyone has.

In one case I learned of a physical complication that cause the problems. I immediately changed my opinion.

I have some physical problems, which really interfere with typing. So I use voice to text. But sometimes it decides to post something I didn't say and failed to catch proofreading.

So I do not expect presentations.

Communications come in many forms.

As when I was in the military, many times we would be pounding away on teletypes while yelling back and forth about something else.

Two forms of communication that we were so used to it was just par for the course.

Guilty as charged!!

I know that...but so often I forget that. :oops:

Hoping that knee of your is doing better now..and you are walking a couple of miles per day to loosen it up!! ;)

Well Willie, the way I see it, there are those who either excel at one of these two: Letters or numbers- I am horrid with math! lol. I apologize if I have been lazy at times in my grammar and word usage, it is def. easier to read a well written post. But...I know of pastors who have to have their sermons edited for spelling errors and such things as grammar. Does that mean that his sermon is not of God? Just saying :)
P.S. How are you coming along, we are praying for you...prayers of faith...

See, right there, you have shared something with us.
Now I can understand far better why you would choose 'video posting'.
That makes more sense now.
I wish when I was 'giving you a hard time', you had mentioned that.

I am very sorry for getting on your case. :oops:

Clarity comes.

Thanks for asking. I am now on my fourth pain killer (also doing nothing much to help), and I can hardly see straight due to the leg cramping. But, it is interestingly like being drunk all the time. LOL

Have the doctors given you a prognosis, and a reason your pain is so intense?
Cramping like that can bring you to your knees, literally! I am def still praying for some relief and fast healing for you brother.

That's another good idiom -- water under the bridge.

But what happens when videos rain down on us and we think it's raining cats and dogs?

View attachment 6255

I once took time to look into where some idioms come from.
like :-
“a turn up for the book”.
At 18th-century horse racing meetings, punters’ names and wagers were recorded in a notebook. If an unbacked horse won, it was called a “turn up” for the bookmaker, who kept all the money.
===========
" A sight for sore eyes"
First recorded in 1738 by the Anglo-Irish satirist, essayist, and poet Jonathan Swift in A complete collection of genteel and ingenious conversation-

"The Sight of you is good for sore Eyes."
===================
Im sure over here everyone know what "eating humble pie" means.

In the 14th century, nobility feasting on game..especially deer...would leave the heart, liver, and entrails for the humble servants.

Known as “numbles”, which by the 15th-century had become “umbles”, these leftovers were made into “umble pies”.

Samuel Pepys, a 17th-century royal administrator and member of parliament, is famous for keeping a diary for 10 years as a young man, in which he wrote:

"I having some venison given me a day or two ago, and so I had a shoulder roasted, another baked, and the umbles baked in a pie, and all very well done."
============
:D :D

So many sayings are still used today yet we don't often know where they came from!! Maybe it's mainly England that uses them ?

There is a widespread notion that 'saved by the bell' originated as an expression that relates to people being buried alive. The idea was that, if someone were comatose and mistakenly pronounced dead and interred, they could, if they later revived, ring a bell that was attached to the coffin and be saved.
