Mothers Day was a bad one for sure.
And for many others.
Including women who have no children....

There's so much hipe about mothers days and there's more every year. Mostly commercial, to make a dollar.
For many people it's a sad day.
I woke up at 5:00 am and had flash backs to the accident scene where my wife died.
Happened all through the day.
Now it's gone again. Praise God.

I never thought of mothers day being bad. Christmas , and days like that.
It probably crept up on you when you weren't expecting it.

Has her birthday happened yet? Will that be a bad one?
If it hasn't happened you at least you can 'pray-up' ahead of time against it.

I so often think and worry about Glenn ( @Truth ) I wonder how he is getting on. I may be wrong, but I don't feel that he has as many family and friends around as you do for support.

I wish he were on Facebook.

LOVED your photo's...excellent, and looking very sharp there Gary :)

Her birthday was the day after the accident.

My sister was hit (she was crossing a highway) by a van traveling at 45 miles an hour when she was 11.....next Day was her 12th birthday - I saw the accident

Wow Ron what a shocker!! I’m so sorry.
That must have knocked you sideways at such a young age. :(
These things are so hard to understand.

Bless you bro

Her birthday was the day after the accident.

Goodness that will be a hard one Garry.
September wasn’t it?

We need to step up the prayers ahead of time for that.
We know she is happy where she is, but you are left without her.
Sadness is just a part of our life while still in the ‘here and now’ :(

They probably look down and wonder why we are sad.

Actually we think of them looking down, (well I do) but in fact it says -
“Seeing we are encompassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses...”

So they are not ‘way off in the blue and blue, but a breath away.

It is always heart wrenching to hear what a fallen world does to people.

Faith if Jesus only promises us a place in the next perfect world. Here we share in the suffering common to all.

I would add, not only promises us a place in a perfect world...
But also promises us Comfort In Him, through difficult times.

Glory to God,
Taken

I remember reading of a rabbi who wrote extensively of his memories of Auchwitz and his struggle reconciling a God of love and mercy while he stood on the edge of a pit of burning children.
Such is no easier when friends/loved ones die, suffer, in ways we cannot understand, and in ways we would not wish on our enemies. Yet Jesus suffered, and died, unjustly, for us. Nothing we go through hasn't already been experienced by that same God. I think, no, I know, that one day we will be at peace and be able to bow before our saviour and say, you knew best, you did right, and we were right to trust you.

Judaism does not worship the God of the Bible.

We are all in God's hand and he knows the outcome according to his plan.

That is just silly.

Not to mention, incredibly arrogant......”Hey Rabbi, we are hijacking your God and we’ll take that book too - oh and btw, He wants nothing to do with you now so just make something up, ok?”

I have not been on board much, But I just read what you had to say, and I believe this is so True! He has suffered, unjustly, But with a cause, for He made His Choice for the Good of His Father's Creation. Just Think!! This Realm will be as it was in the Beginning, when He said it's Very Good.
Thank You for your post, sometimes the simplest statement can be a Tremendous Blessing. Cheryl passed 200 days ago, and it has been a nightmare, but your statement is a comfort to Me. Thank You Again!

I think about You Quite often, I am glad to see you involved again.
Helen is right, I am the soul survivor in my immediate family, Cheryl's family has not contacted me since I notified them of her passing! I have a job that keeps me sane, until I go home, then I do a lot of drive's around town.
Oh well, that's Life, it is starting to get better, staying busy help's.

Hi Truth,
So good to see you here. Yes, staying busy is so important as is, being around others. At home alone, the thoughts and memories come. Satan would just LOVE for you to isolate yourself cause, he sure knows how to have a ball with the downtrodden!
God Bless You my brother,
In Him Always,
nancy

You are right, no Family, and it takes a lifetime to make a friend, I have some good people here to respond to, and some have been a comfort to me, I would that I could meet some of you, for you have been a blessing to me!

I thought so. :(
The only friends we have ( other than on here) are friends we made while living in community back in the 70's . Many people , cooking , eating and worshipping together bonded us. NOT that we all agreed on everything ..but there is still a bond. Since then ( leaving) early 90's , we haven't made 'real' friends.

I so wish we lived close by you.

I know that I have asked you before, but is there no chance you would use facebook to connect a bit more ?

Bless you Glen.
You are never far from my thoughts.

Hey, move to Canada? Inviting , cold, snow, sub zero temps ....but good fellowship!! :)

Judaism rejects the Trinity and Jesus as Messiah and God incarnate.
So what!!! On this thread CI I couldn't give a flying fish what Judaism believes or doesn't believe, nor could I care less whether you know it or not. This thread is not a theology debate...go away!!
