Isaiah 54:16-17
[16] Behold, I have created the smith that bloweth the coals in the fire, and that bringeth forth an instrument for his work; and I have created the waster to destroy. [17] No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord , and their righteousness is of me, saith the Lord .

What does the waster waste?
What does the waster destory?

Still considering the waster and what the waster destroys. God said no weapon formed against them shall prosper.
Isaiah 54:17 No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord , and their righteousness is of me, saith the Lord .

...shall not prosper. As also John 6:63 It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.

It is the spirit which prospers...the words He speaks ...they are spirit, they are life.

To make satan the only waster that destroys, to make satan the only one who destroys would restrict that the spirit of the antichrist is already here in the world and works through vessels of destruction which destroy, tear down and waste. As the son who wasted his substance in, lost yet returned. Luke 15:13-16 And not many days after the younger son gathered all together, and took his journey into a far country, and there wasted his substance with riotous living. [14] And when he had spent all, there arose a mighty famine in that land; and he began to be in want. [15] And he went and joined himself to a citizen of that country; and he sent him into his fields to feed swine. [16] And he would fain have filled his belly with the husks that the swine did eat: and no man gave unto him.

Was there a time in your life where you wasted with riotous living and began to want, joining yourself to the world.
Was " the world set in your heart" to become a disappointment. (1 John 2:16) "For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world."

The image build up of all of this world's kingdoms and (man's)glory wasted and destroyed and perished at the sight of the light of the Revelation of Jesus Christ? To realize you have wasted your substance and joined yourself to 'that country'...yet the ways of 'that country" has lost its appeal. Romans 16:20 And the God of peace shall bruise Satan under your feet shortly. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you. Amen.

"And the God of peace shall bruise Satan under your feet shortly." consider it is the Spirit of God which prospers and fails not. No more "wasted" substance but "the Love of the Living God set in your heart" over "the world set in your heart". No longer this world being the focus but in looking up for that which is above all things and does prosper.

"...also he hath set the world in their heart, so that no man can find out the work that God maketh from the beginning to the end.”

Consider: Romans 8:20
[20] For the creature was made subject to vanity, not willingly, but by reason of him who hath(also) subjected the same in hope,

God subjected the creation to vanity. Solomon speaks in Ecclesiastes of all things done under the sun as being vanity. This was Solomon's conclusion...that all was vanity. Solomon (inspired by the Holy Spirit) also said in Ecclesiastes 3:9-10
[9] What profit hath he that worketh in that wherein he laboureth? [10] I have seen the travail, which God hath given to the sons of men to be exercised in it.

To be exercised in: vanity...the world set in their heart. What profit has he who works? Solomon asked. It is the Spirit which profits...not the flesh. The works of God illuminated in Ecclesiastes 3:1-11 says “To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven: [2] A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted; A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up...” There is more … a season for everything done under the Sun; as also a season to be wasted of rioting living and a time to be built anew on the foundation of the Apostles and Prophets with Christ as the chief corner stone.

Consider vanity and the bondage of corruption and then Solomon (inspired by the Holy Spirit) speaking of God who “He hath made every thing beautiful in his time (HOPE) also he hath set the world in their heart(subject to vanity), so that no man can find out the work that God maketh from the beginning to the end.” Ecclesiastes speaks well of this bondage of corruption through vanity...the world set in their heart. (Ecclesiastes 3:11)

Consider the children of promise no longer have the world set in their heart but their affection is set on the things which are above, those things which are higher which can not be stolen or do not pass away. the children are called to overcome the flesh and the world. Consider all the verses which say those with the world set in their heart cannot and will not hear heavenly things spoken. Either the world is set in the heart or God is set in the heart. 1 John 3:1 Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not.

1 John 2:15-17
[15] Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. [16] For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. [17] And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.

Why would God subject the creation to vanity and set the world in their heart? Then through that which is wasted and fails … remove the world from their heart and replace it, setting God in the heart? Do you see it?

Either the world is set in your heart.
Or God is set in your heart ruling from His throne. Let the God of peace 'rule' in your heart. The word says to the children of promise the Father will them whatever their heart wants; He sets in their heart.

As opposed to 'the world set in their heart' and "You ask, and receive not, because you ask amiss, that you may consume it upon your lusts."

Is the world set in your heart. Or is God?
1 John 4:3-6 And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world. [4] Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world. [5] They are of the world: therefore speak they of the world, and the world heareth them. [6] We are of God: he that knoweth God heareth us; he that is not of God heareth not us. Hereby know we the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error.
