The Bible does not say apostles will continue after John.
Give me the name of who replaced any of the apostles after their death.
So if you are correct then we have no prophets, evangelists, pastors nor teachers. Is that the position you mean to take?
Do I detect a legalistic rigidity in your demeanor? You're going to fit right in here!
The old strait and narrow, you know. "Legalistic rigidity" is for people who want to write their own bibles.
Have you come yet to the conclusion that it isn't the doctrine per se that makes one righteous before God...but how we hold onto it?
Hmm. That seems to demonstrate my post on logic, that the first rule often is that people must like the conclusion. Many people will die for what they believe and they don't even know what they believe.

No, it is not and I have no idea where you get this idea there is a debate whether he was an apostle or not because the scripture could not be clearer.

Being called by God does not make one an Apostle.

You are the only one that is saying being called by God means an apostle.
And I am still waiting for your evidence concerning your comment about John.
Apostles are not replaced. They are people whom God anoints to fulfill the ministry of the apostle.
