nice, and don't we even have a v for that first thought?

Gal. 8:4,9 "but now that ye have come to know God, or rather to be known by God, how turn ye back again to the weak and beggarly rudiments, whereunto ye desire to be in bondage over again?"

There's the other one about still being on the milk of the word but should be on the meat. Actually, there are lot's of verses pertaining to the subject of what they should have already known.

Yes but Doug responded to one of your post and said rom 6 was about Spirit baptism when it is not. You put at the bottom that you liked it.
The baptism under consideration is a burial and resurrection which is exactly what happens in water baptism. That is why I said don’t lose your common sense cause many do. I’m amazed at the people that throw common sense out the window when they open the Bible.

I do have that "like thing" itis...ha! I like 'em even if I only agree with part. Not a good habit as it can throw off my beliefs to others and cause confusion. I'm workin on it. Thanks :)

Ok. Just stop watching Les Feldick. He doesn’t teach the truth. Example of his misleading way of teaching. He started a study on Mt 24 and he started by saying....ok let’s drop in at verse 4. He then proceeded to destroy the meaning and teaching of Mt 24. You CANNOT understand Mt 24 without understanding the first 3 verses. They set up then entire chapter and he skipped them. He skipped them so he could establish his own narrative. That is as corrupt as you can be. He does the same with Paul.

Hey
Just curious....briefly what was Feldick teaching on Matthew 24?
An overview is...he was tying it in to his revelation study that Christ is coming back to establish his kingdom, tribulation, and all of these signs are what we should be looking for today. All false. The first 36 or so verses of Mt 24 is about the destruction of Jerusalem. His disciples asked him a couple of questions in vs 1-3 and he then proceeds to answer them. If you don’t study the first three verses you cannot understand the chapter. He was one of the people that was certain Christ was coming on Y2K.

Go ahead and watch, but be a berean and search the scriptures to see if it is so. I watch him all the time just like I watch and listen to many other people as well. I want to know what everybody is teaching and how they come to their conclusions. I have to say 90% of what I listen too is completely false. I do not understand how their audience allows them to get away with what they are teaching. There are some good messages but what usually happens is they ruin it when they extend an invitation. I love watching Billy Graham crusades. He was a great speaker and said a lot of good things but he always blew it at the end. He did not teach the truth about becoming a Christian. I watched him preach a 30 minute lesson on being born again and he never mentioned the word water. How can someone do that? Christ tied the born again process directly to water. Make sure you compare spiritual with spiritual.

Peter and Paul did not preach the same gospel messages. Below are the differences between the gospels and Apostleship's of Peter and Paul.

Peter's Apostleship: His Apostleship was commanded by Jesus Christ along with the other eleven disciples before Paul. Peter was primarily the Apostle to Israel (Galatians 2:8). Peter's Apostleship was diminishing after Paul was converted.

Paul's Apostleship: Paul was persecuting the church of God before being converted. After his conversion Paul was given revelations from the Lord Jesus Christ; Paul did not learn from any man including the twelve Apostles (Galatians 1:12). Paul was primarily the Apostle to Gentiles (Romans 11:13 2 Timothy 1:11).

Peter's Justification: Peter and the other eleven Apostles taught justification unto eternal life by believing on the name of Jesus; by believing Jesus is Christ, the Son of God (Acts 10:43 Matthew 16:16 Acts 4:12 Acts 2:36 John 20:31).

Peter preached that Israel received the new covenant by the crucifixion and shed blood of Jesus (Matthew 26:28 1 Peter 1:2 1 Peter 1:19 Acts 3:18 1 Peter 2:24 Acts 3:25). Peter preached forgiveness of sin at the coming of the Lord Jesus Christ (Acts 3:19).

Paul's Justification: Paul taught justification unto eternal life by the cross (1 Corinthians 1:18 Galatians 6:14 Colossians 1:20). Justification by faith that Christ died for our sins, was buried and rose again for complete salvation unto eternal life (1 Corinthians 15:1-4 Colossians 2:10). Paul taught forgiveness of all sin now by the blood of Jesus (Ephesians 1:7).

Peter's gospel: Peter preached remission of sins in the name of Jesus (Acts 10:43). Peter taught the gospel of the kingdom (Luke 9:2 Luke 9:6 2 Peter 1:11). Israel would inherit the promise of the Davidic kingdom on earth (Luke 1:32 Genesis 13:15). Israel would rule and reign with Jesus for a thousand year period (Revelation 20:6). Israel would be a light for salvation unto the Gentile nations that would enter the kingdom (Isaiah 42:6).

Paul's gospel: Paul taught the gospel of the uncircumcision (Galatians 2:7). Paul taught salvation to all freely by faith in Christ apart from the covenants of Israel and apart from keeping the law (Romans 9:4 Romans 3:28 Galatians 2:19).

Peter and the resurrection: Peter preached the gospel of the circumcision (Galatians 2:7). Israel under the old covenant promises was promised to be a holy nation and a kingdom of kings and priests to rule over the Gentile nations with Christ (Revelation 1:6 Exodus 19:6 Revelation 5:10). Peter preached that the resurrection of Christ gave Israel assurance of that coming kingdom because Christ was raised to sit on the throne of David in that prophetic kingdom (1 Peter 1:3 Acts 3:25 Acts 2:30). Peter preached the receiving of the Holy Ghost to enable Israel to enter the kingdom (Jeremiah 31:33 Acts 2:33 Acts 2:38).

Paul and the resurrection: Paul taught that Christ was risen for our justification (Romans 4:25).

Peter and works: Peter preached works as necessary for salvation in order to enter the kingdom (Acts 10:35 1 Peter 1:15 1 Peter 2:9 2 Peter 1:10-11). Peter preached to Israel repentance and baptism for the remission of sins (Acts 2:38). Peter preached holiness and to remain steadfast unto the coming of Jesus and his kingdom (2 Peter 3:17).

Paul and works: Paul taught salvation without works (Titus 3:5 Romans 4:6 Ephesians 2:8-9).

Peter and the church: Peter preached to Israel (Acts 3:12). Gentiles had to come through Israel and it's covenants to be added to the church (Exodus 12:48 Acts 11:1); Gentiles had to believe the preaching of the word delivered to Israel as preached by Peter (Acts 13:48).

Paul and the church: Paul taught the church as the body of Christ, a new creature where there was neither Jew or Gentile (Galatians 6:15 Galatians 3:28 Ephesians 2:14).

Peter and heaven: Peter taught that Israel would receive the kingdom on earth ( Luke 9:2 Luke 9:6 2 Peter 1:11 Acts 2:30). He taught their reward was stored in heaven but not in heaven (1 Peter 1:4).

Paul and heaven: Paul taught the church seated with Christ in heavenly places (Ephesians 2:6).

Both Peter and Paul were ordained of God to preach the gospel. Those who believed their gospels are in Christ. Peter's gospel faded away as Israel was diminished and is not the gospel that is preached today. Paul preaches the gospel by which we are saved today. Paul in his epistles reveal the mysteries and doctrine for the church today.

Pauls "conversion" tells a story without faith preceding belief that doesn't seem to have ever been duplicated, in history.
Quite a few people have sincerely asked for Jesus to appear and convert them Himself. What's up with that?

I don't think there is any difference between Peter's and Paul's doctrine. In one of his Epistles, Peter admitted that some things that Paul said were 'ahrd to be understood', but he did not reject them.

* The Lord Jesus Christ said, to His disciples:-

'I have yet many things to say unto you,
.. but ye cannot bear them now.
Howbeit when He, the Spirit of truth, is come,
.. He will guide you into all truth:
.... for He shall not speak of Himself;
...... but whatsoever He shall hear, that shall He speak:
........ and He will shew you things to come.
.......... He shall glorify Me:
............ for He shall receive of mine,
.............. and shall shew it unto you.
All things that the Father hath are Mine:
.. therefore said I,
.... that He shall take of Mine,
...... and shall shew it unto you.'

(John 16:12-15)

Hello @farouk,

The Holy Spirit used the Twelve, and the Holy Spirit used Paul, to bring the Truth to both the People of Israel, and to the Nations, that all things may be fulfilled which is promised in the words of our Lord (above) - He has done it! He has made it known! We have the written record! How wonderful is that!

I believe that Peter with the rest of the twelve ministered as they were called to do, with the words that the Holy Spirit gave them to administer. I believe that Paul, also, ministered as He was led by the Holy Spirit, using the words that the Holy Spirit gave Him to administer.

In His words to Agrippa, in Acts 26, Paul relates the words of the risen Christ, spoken to him on the road to Damascus: and it is clear that the Lord appeared to Him on more than one occassion; and that he, Paul, had more than one ministry to fulfill. So to say that his ministry was identical to that of Peter and the twelve would be wrong. However, during the Acts their ministries complimented one another, and fulfilled the purpose God intended for them. However with the laying aside of Israel in unbelieve (temporarily) at the end of the forty year Acts period Paul's ministry became one which was given to him alone by Divine revelaion, as God's Steward: and made known to us in the letters written from prison, especially Ephesians, Philippians and Colossians.

Thank you
In Christ Jesus
Chris

But did Paul preach a different Gospel than the other Apostles? That's the real debate with Hyper-Dispensationalists that believe there are TWO gospels.

The reality is that there is only ONE Gospel of Jesus Christ. Paul preached the kingdom just like Jesus and the other Apostles did. The other Apostles preached to Gentiles also. Paul was simply called to preach mostly among the Gentiles, but Jesus said he was His chosen vessel to preach to Israel also (Acts 9).

Hello @Davy,

The only sure way of determining, experiencially, if Peter and Paul preached the same gospel, is to compare the records we have of their preaching and teaching, and read the word's of the Lord Jesus Christ spoken to them. Peter, as one of the Twelve during the earthly ministry of the Lord, his preaching during the Acts of the Apostles and his epistles. Also Luke and Paul's record of the Words of the risen and ascended Lord to Paul in the book of Acts: and Paul's epistles; those written during the Acts, compared with those that followed as the testimony of the Lord's Prisoner.

* There is more than one gospel recorded in Scripture:-
- The Everlasting Gospel
- The Gospel of the Kingdom
- The Gospel of God
- The Gospel of the Grace of God
- The Gospel of the Glory of Christ.

'Then fourteen years after
.. I went up again to Jerusalem with Barnabas,
.... and took Titus with me also.

And I went up by revelation,
.. and communicated unto them that gospel which I preach among the Gentiles,
.... but privately to them which were of reputation,
...... lest by any means I should run, or had run, in vain.
........ But neither Titus, who was with me, being a Greek, was compelled to be circumcised:
And that because of false brethren unawares brought in,
.. who came in privily to spy out our liberty which we have in Christ Jesus,
.... that they might bring us into bondage:
To whom we gave place by subjection, no, not for an hour;
..
that the truth of the gospel might continue with you. (Praise God!)
But of these who seemed to be somewhat,
.. (whatsoever they were, it maketh no matter to me:
.... God accepteth no man's person:)
...... for they who seemed to be somewhat in conference added nothing to me:
........ But contrariwise,
.......... when they saw that the gospel of the uncircumcision was committed unto me,
............ as the gospel of the circumcision was unto Peter;
.............. (For He that wrought effectually in Peter to the apostleship of the circumcision,
................ the same was mighty in me toward the Gentiles )
And when James, Cephas, and John,
.. who seemed to be pillars,
.... perceived the grace that was given unto me,
...... they gave to me and Barnabas the right hands of fellowship;
........ that we should go unto the heathen,
.......... and they unto the circumcision.'

Hi Chris,
I did read your post and, there is at least one scripture that came to my mind, and I wonder what you might think of it? Thank yo for any reply!
Galatians 1:6–8

6 I am astonished that you are so quickly deserting him who called you in the grace of Christ and are turning to a different gospel not that there is another one, but there are some who trouble you and want to distort the gospel of Christ. an angel from heaven should preach to you a gospel contrary to the one we preached to you, let him be accursed."

(Galatisnd 1:6-8)

Hello @Nancy,

I can understand why your mind should go to these verses. One thing we know for sure is that what Paul preached was of God, for He was a called Apostle, by the will of God, as we know. He told Timothy, in his last epistle prior to his death, to hold fast the form of sound words which he (Timothy) had heard of him (Paul). Yes,- Praise God! - Paul's words are 'sound words', and sure; for they were received of the risen Christ Himself. - Praise His Holy Name!

* There is only one Lord Jesus Christ, and it is 'He' that is preached, either by The Twelve Apostles as, 'them that heard Him' (Hebrews 2:3): or by Paul. However, by the nature of those to whom each were sent, either the 'circumcision' or the 'uncircumcision', there were differences of approach and of content. The Gentile had never been under the law for example, having been under the law of conscience only; whereas the Jew had been obliged to keep the law, under the conditions of the covenant with God that they, as a nation, were under. There was therefore a glorious liberty experienced by the Gentile, which the believing Jew found difficult to get to grips with it seems, hence the sending of men among them causing disquiet, saying that they needed to be circumcised etc., this was 'another gospel' which was no 'good news' at all, for it sought to put them under law, and destroy the law of liberty which they had been brought into, in Christ Jesus.

* The message to the Jew was also designed to bring them to the acknowledgment of Christ as their Messiah: and to repent; in order for the times of refreshing, spoken of by the prophets of the Old Testament, to come; and for Christ to return to be among them; with all that was prophesied taking in it's order. So, during that forty year period of the book of the Acts of the Apostles, the epistles written by Peter, James and Jude had the return of Christ in mind, and the end time events that it would bring with it. The early epistles of Paul, also, looked eagerly for His coming again, and for the believer's deliverance from the wrath to come at the judgment that would follow.

* It was only after Israel's final rejection of the ministry of the Apostles to them, that Israel went into blindness (temporarily) and salvation was finally sent to the Gentiles (Acts 28). It was then that Paul received the revelation of God concerning this period: in which Israel is no longer there to be grafted into, and believing Jew and Gentile are to experience the liberty of being united in Christ as their Head, in which the Jew has no prior place, but all is an equality. They are complete in Christ. This knowledge was passed on through the later epistles of Paul, largely in Ephesians, Colossians and Philippians, but also in 1 & 2 Timothy, Titus and Philemon.

* Ephesians chapter three, speaks of a revelation received by all the apostles and prophets, which was, 'The Mystery of Christ' (Ephesians 3:4-5), the subject of the Old Testament Prophets, and preached by all, but especially Paul. Also the revelation which was made to Paul only, as the Lord's Prisoner, and Steward of, 'The Mystery' (Colossians 1:26; Ephesians 3:6-10); which concerns the Church which is His Body, the fulness of Him that filleth all in all. A knowledge that had been 'hid in God' until it's revelation to Paul.

* You did not ask for all of this, I know, Nancy, but forgive me, for this is what came to mind, and is the expression of my thoughts as I type.

* How blessed we are, in Christ Jesus our Lord, aren't we Nancy?

Praise His Holy Name!

Thank you so much.
With love to you
In Christ Jesus
Chris

I don't buy your interpretation. There is ONLY one Gospel of Jesus Christ, regardless of who preaches it, and to whom.

Well written, and I totally agree. I suppose the "different" Gospels were simply speaking of false Gospels?
I do understand that audience, before or after the Cross would have to come into play with context.
When thinking about it, Jesus Himself was under the Law when on earth. Then, after the Cross (It is finished!) grace came through ♥
Even though Paul preached to both Jew and gentile, he was more so directing the Church so...of course he would be preaching and teaching mostly gentiles.
Is it your view that "until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled” the Jewish will continue to be blinded?
Thank you for all the info, sorry if I have probably not at all replied properly

Hi @Nancy,

Sorry my post was so long. I don't expect you to respond to it. :)

When Israel is once again 'My People', then their position of prior place with be restored I believe; but by that time the church which is the Body of Christ will have been called out, and united with their Lord at His appearing, in heavenly places, which is their sphere of blessing. The times of the Gentiles will have run it's course, and Israel's prophetic clock will have begun to tick again, with all it's attendant consequence

This time we are living in seems to me to be one large parenthesis. Israel was first until the end of the acts period, when this parenthesis opened with their temporary abeyance, and it will be again when this parenthesis of time reaches it's fulfilment, according to the will of God.

With love in Christ Jesus
Chris
