The rain is pouring down heavily outside but we were prepared for it. The cupboard is not bare and there was no need to go anywhere, so we did not. We've had some hailstones but not large enough yet to do damage so all is well. Neither one of is sick although for the last two nights I've been up with my insomnia. Last night I was to bed at 11 and up at 3. I stayed up about 4 hours, read, talked to the Lord, worked on stamps and played the piano [headset silent mode keyboard to let my wife sleep] and back to sleep finally at 7. That's OK for a day when we are not going out anyway.

@amadeus we were "twins" last night then. I put the light out at 11.15pm , slept for 15 mins...woke up and was awake , like you, until three am.....them woke up again at 6am.

Like you...I didn't have to go out anywhere today.

You two are in sync! Maybe God wanted you both to pray for something or someone together? Or, maybe you just both have a lousy time sleeping...

Don't feel like a lone ranger, ha! I always think of and pray for all of you here when I find myself nightly staring into the dark, wide eyed and uncomfortable. Lol. ♥

Sometimes I don't mind the late night awake times as I can and do make use of that time when all is quiet, but other times I really would simply like to sleep for this old body is usually very tired. Being tired and being sleepy are definitely not the same thing.

Nice looking today......... base ball time.....
But I stayed home again, I need it warmer, for most people this is good.
But the old [ like me ] just to hard to sit in this weather.... walking is ok , but sitting
for hours...... the temp. need to be up a little more oh, 55 now, but going down to
37, guess I looked at the wrong place before..... but sitting and not moving even 55
would be a little cool for me.

Tornado watches and warnings most everywhere with flood warnings as well because of soaked ground from recent previous storms. Enough water is enough and too much is too much. But... God does know what He is doing even we miss His point.

We had one tornado likely to hit us, but it dissipated prior to coming very close.

Guess, we are Blessed............

We have spring and its like summer time........... some of the grand sons were in the pond
all ready. and the twins are on little paddle boats floating around and the older G.D.
is cleaning up the weeds on the pond / or what ever it is.... she kind of takes after me
in a way........ I was alway's told (I have a place for every thing ) and it is always there.
:"and every thing in its place "

It all sounds lovely. We've had a lovely spring day and it's been sunny but not too warm like it was this time last year. I like warm but I don't like hot. I have a very little garden pond that used to have fish in it until the magpies got them.

..It is still pretty chilly here...we still need coats to go out...

...but, the dandelions are thriving..

The upside is that there are already forrest fires blazing north of us...so the rain is at least keeping the smoke at bay from us.

We've had a very dry May - only 8% of our usual rainfall for the month - and as a result there have been some wildfires on the moors. We had a few days at Easter when we could go out without coats but I have had to wear my hoody recently.
