I would say a firm no to hating any human being. Hating someone is like drinking poison and hoping that the hated person dies. But hating the evil deeds is aligning ourselves with God in hating what He says He detests. He says He hates the shedding of innocent blood--that is why I hate abortion. But I do not hate the abortionist--I hope he or she comes under the conviction of the Holy Spirit and stops doing the evil deed. That is also my prayer.

I think the problem with this model is that many homosexuals have over-identified with their behavior; they believe they are their behavior. So, when you come along and reject their behavior, they believe you are rejecting them. Some homosexuals have a good reason for over-identification of their behavior (what some Christians call ‘flaunting’ their homosexuality) because they have had to hide it for much of their lives in order to feel safe

Interesting enough, many Christians, some of whom are overly critical of homosexual behavior, have themselves, over identified with their Christianity, the Bible, Catholic dogma, etc. Indeed, the very people accusing homosexuals of flaunting their gay-ness are constantly flaunting their Christianity by trying to mold their environment and everyone around them into their ideal of the Kingdom of God.

I tend to believe people will do anything to avoiding loving others - one of our favorite dodges is playing dress up - hiding our true self behind false identities just like our parents used fig leaves in the garden.

They flaunt it because they know people like you and me detest it. Because God detests it.

They really think they are doing their own thing. That they will choose the way they want to go and no one can tell them otherwise. They are so duped. They don't realize that they are homosexual because they are under the judgement of God. Homosexuality is itself a judgement from God upon a people. (Rom. 1:26-27) God has literally turned them over to it. Yet they think they are 'free spirits'.

But what if they see the truth? And do you think that is likely?

It's abnormal to God. And isn't that Who sets the benchmark for normality.

Stranger
But I mean they don't know God, they don't recognise his authority and by their own standards it's normal.

Scripture says they already know the truth but have rejected the truth. (Rom. 1:19) "...that which may be known of God is manifest in them..." (Rom.1:21) "Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God...." (Rom. 1:24) "Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness..." (Rom. 1:25) "Who changed the truth of God into a lie...." (Rom. 1:26) For this cause God gave them up to vile affections...." (Rom. 1:28) "...as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over..." (Rom. 1:32) "Who knowing the judgment of God...."

I would say anyone can repent who have strayed away from God. Nothing is impossible with God. But the chances of those who have denied God and have spiraled downward to the second giving up of God, the chances of them seeking God in repentance is slim and none. Most have reached the place where they do not care to be right with God.

I had often wondered if they called themselves Gay, or whether they were 'called Gay' by others.

Wiki

It seems they called themselves gay. I wonder why.
Quote:- Terms used to describe homosexuality have gone through many changes since the emergence of the first terms in the mid-19th century.
In English, some terms in widespread use have been sodomite , sapphic, Uranian , Homophile, lesbian , gay , and same-sex attracted.
Some of these words are specific to women, some to men, and some can be used of either. Gay people may also be identified under the umbrella terms queer and LGBT.

The term Homosexual was coined in 1869. > end quote.

A number of years back I heard a preacher say that Masturbation is a same sex relationship activity. It is relationship with self...= same sex having sex.

So...how do you like them apples!! ?

Maybe it would cause some to rethink their quick judgement eh? o_O

Ok so we have two neighborhoods. In one there’s a neighbor, that say Christ died for me while I was yet in my sin. In the other neighborhood, there’s a neighbor with a sign in his yard that reads, I reject queers, ms 13 gang members, anyone that’s a different color than me, murderers, thieves. Etc. the sign reads on, I am the one with the winnowing fork in my hand, I decide who is the weed and who is the wheat.
Which neighborhood do any of you wish to live in?

Fortunately, God has a higher and less "flexible" standard. He judges all by His standard--not that of men. The law in several states has decided it is just dandy to kill infants moments before natural birth. That is murder of the innocent--do you not think God will judge that? I hate what God has declared to be evil. Men can pass all kinds of laws permitting what is clearly evil but I will NEVER agree that a true Christian will or should praise it.

Being a born sinner, we are disqualified from judging True Christians ™ from the foulest ones.

I'm from Milwaukee and would be in the same Year Class as Jeffery Dahmer. I've had years
to dwell on one of the most heinous crimes in human history. How did it happen practically in my neighborhood?
People stayed away from Dahmer for whatever reasons. Evidently even his building manager.
AS A DIRECT RESULT of people avoiding Dahmer, he managed to drill holes in peoples heads.
Even the police backed away two months earlier failing to make a solid connection with him.

As a matter of background, I was an apartment building manager at two buildings around that time and I intentionally
kept conversation going with my residents because dialogue worked well to keep the drug dealers better
controlled, the thieves wary, and the prostitutes more sober. And that was just the building I lived in.

So I really don't care HOW offended people are by the actions of prostitutes, drug dealers,
same sex partners, or cannibals. Keeping an open dialogue with gay Jeff Dahmer could have
helped me, personally, to be the one to stop one of the most heinous killing sprees in history.

Advice from people who wish to keep their head in the sand is the proven downfall of civilization
and allowed JD to eat his victims. So complain about your pet peeves all you want.

Living in the city, my neighbors are on that list. God has very specific ideas on how I treat them.

Yes they have, gay used to be a word that meant merry and happy but you can't use it like that anymore as it's been hijacked. If people want to be 'gay' then that's their choice but why do they have to be so in your face about it. Surely our sexuality is a private matter but they flaunt it and that's what gets me.

Most do not flaunt. Those that do are not outnumbered by your preferred choice of sex partner, who does.

In the UK you could be arrested for calling somebody a 'queer' It would be counted as a hate crime because it is derogatory. We are not supposed to use such terms even if we disagree with their lifestyle.

Follow your local law as it is God's will for man.
