Yes! I agree. The evangelical christian teachings, applying an evangelical hermeneutic (literal, textual, historical interpretation) , and adhering faithfully to sound doctrine is what is attacked. This is the repeated pattern we see by so called christians-- they will allow in any false teaching, and but are silent and have no criticism of heresies and welcome as a community any corrupt belief like gnosticsm, universalism, mysticism , false prophets, cults that claim to be christian, or those who present a false gospel but will come out of the woodwork to attack with claws towards any who point them out or who upholds to a literal biblical interpretation of the Bible.

I’m a former Catholic, did my communion and confirmation, if it does not teach this then why do we kneel in from of statues of Jesus, the blessed Mother and other statues and pray? Is this not idolatry? Are they not graven images? I stopped going to church I couldn’t deal with it no more, they were celebrating St. Anthony and kissing the feet of the statue, everyone lined up in line, I remember having to do that as a kid because my parents made me.

And you honestly believe that they were "worshiping" statues of Jesus and Mary? They they were "worshiping" pieces of clay and ceramic as gods??
A soldier who kisses a picture of his sweetheart is no more guilty of "idol-worship" that a person who kisses a statue of Jesus or Mary or St. Anthony.
