The Bible tells us that in the beginning God created the earth in seven days, not a million years. It seems that the more we learn as scientific and archaeological finds come to light, the less people believe in Evolution. Scientist summarizing Darwinism tell us as follows: “Life on earth evolved gradually beginning with one primitive species — perhaps a self-replicating molecule — that lived more than 3.5 billion years ago; it then branched out over time, throwing off many new and diverse species; and the mechanism for most (but not all) of evolutionary change is natural selection.”(Jerry A. Coyne, Why Evolution Is True (New York: Viking, 2009), p. 3.)

Yet there are no not one piece of evidence found of a gradual change from a "self-replicating molecule" to all the different species. There are no evidence of gradualism or that later species should have traits that make them look like the descendants of earlier ones. We don't find a fish changing to land crawler or a lizard changing to bird, in fact there is no evidence whatsoever of the ancestors or fossils that would show the lineage of any species. People are finding out that Evolution is a empty shell of false ideas and arguments, that is being exposed like the story of the King with no clothes.

May I suggest you try talking about evolution at work and see howmany people there do believe in it?
Or go on to an atheists forum and start talking about creation.
or talk to people in church, you will be surprised at how many Christians believe in evolution.

"Evolution" is all around us in many forms. Just a trip to your local museum will show you the enormous changes that have occurred in only a few hundred years... in not only man, but plants and animals, too.

It is probably among the most foolish of men who denies the obvious evolution of living beings in just our own lifetimes.

To date, a total of 1.3 million species have been identified and described, but the truth is that many more live on Earth. The most accurate census, conducted by the
Hawaii’s University, estimates that a total of 8.7 million species live on the planet.

If we take this figure as close, it means that we have described only 15% of all the organisms that live on Earth. To be more precise, we still have 86% of the terrestrial species to be described and 91% of the marine species.

Yet, many of us still swear all these millions of species rode around on a boat for awhile (The Ark) and disembarked on a mountaintop to be the sole creatures that were ever going to exist on the Earth.

No, God clearly created the evolutionary processes by which we all have evolved, and planted them in the genes of every living creature.

Evolved from what?

Notice the phrase 'after their kind' until it gets to mankind, where it says 'Let us make man in our image'.

Genesis 1:11,21,24-26 NASBS
[11] Then God said, "Let the earth sprout vegetation, plants yielding seed, and fruit trees on the earth bearing fruit after their kind with seed in them"; and it was so. [21] God created the great sea monsters and every living creature that moves, with which the waters swarmed after their kind, and every winged bird after its kind; and God saw that it was good. [24] Then God said, "Let the earth bring forth living creatures after their kind: cattle and creeping things and beasts of the earth after their kind"; and it was so. [25] God made the beasts of the earth after their kind, and the cattle after their kind, and everything that creeps on the ground after its kind; and God saw that it was good. [26] Then God said, "Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; and let them rule over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the sky and over the cattle and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth."

As I said earlier, just visit a museum the see the staggering changes humans have undergone in only the last few hundred years.

Sorry, but I'll put God's Word over any trip to the County Museum. But thanks anyways.

I think you are confusing taking the ‘truth of evolution for granted’ with ‘not believing in it anymore’

No, actual physical and mental changes to the human organism called "man."
Sorry for being facetious.

So...how do you, or do you at all, explain the biblical narrative?

I was in a third world country at a Christian wedding and this guy refugee attendee from the ME was praising the Cooks by saying, "Gee the Cook are really great, look at all the great food they have made, the Chicken, the Buff the Fish . . ," But I interrupted the poor man and asked, "Are they the God(s) that you worship?"

I do not think he could see the punch line and it seems that his funny bone was missing as well.

I think it's generally agreed that the fossil record alone does not prove evolution.

But most Christians seem to be totally unaware of the mass of genetic evidence for evolution that has been discovered in the last two decades (or if they do know about it, they never mention it).

All living creatures have many things in common. But that does not mean they are all related. And since God created every species to be distinct from every other, the necessity of evolution is zero. On the other hand the Genesis Flood tells us that there was DEVOLUTION and the human race was practically wiped out.

GINOLJC, to all.
YES I believe in Evolution, more so of the Spiritual kind. for there is a physical evolution of the world, and the animals, and there is a Spiritual Evolution that is needed in man. in the world, Micro Evolution, or variation or mutation, has been going on even until this day. but not in man, here "adaptation" yes. but Evolution in man, physically, NO, because man was before the animals. the earth is constantly changing, as well as (animals, wildlife). there has been evidence of Micro Evolution, or variation in some OF OUR lifetime. BUT ONE THING IS FOR SURE, change is inevitable. hence the scripture are clear, both in physical and spiritual evolution. John 1:3 "All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made".

if any changes occure in anything, including man it is of God.

  1. Evolution ~
the process by which different kinds of living organisms are thought to have developed and diversified from earlier forms during the history of the earth.
    synonyms: Darwinism, natural selection
"early ecologists were not interested in evolution"

This meaning ^ ~ No never did believe that.

  2. Evolution ~
the gradual development of something, especially from a simple to a more complex form.
"the forms of written languages undergo constant evolution"

This meaning ^ ~ Yes, always believed in that.

    God created KINDS of things.
KINDS of things DO NOT CHANGE AND BECOME different FORMS.

Man is a KIND of Thing...
Man does not change form and become animals, plants, trees, spirits, etc.

Animals are a KIND of Thing...
Animals do not change form and become men, plants, trees, spirits, etc.

Plants are a KIND of Thing...
Plants do not change form and become
Men, Animals, plants, trees, spirits, etc.

Spirits are a KIND of Thing...
Spirits do not change form and become men, Animals, plants, trees, etc.

    Glory to God,

There also lies a large part of the problem. A species was once “able to reproduce and produce fertile offspring”. Now two different local populations of Darwin’s Finches interbreed (proving that they are the same species by the old definition) and their offspring are declared yet another new species (but still able to breed with either parent population if it needed to).

By that definition, my Welsh Grandfather was one species and my Norwegian Grandmother was another species and their Welsh-Norwegian children were the birth of a new species. When my Welsh-Norwegian Father bred with my Italian Mother, my siblings and I became yet another new species (Welsh-Norwegian-Italian). DNA testing will confirm that they come from different population groups with distinct genetic traits.

Is that REALLY evolution?

In Darwin's time, naturalists had to rely largely on physical appearance to distinguish species, but genetics has revealed a lot of 'surprises' in this area. With Darwin's finches we could well be seeing evolution in progress: species that have begun to diverge (it might be more accurate to call them subspecies) but haven't yet reached the point of being unable to interbreed. There are numerous other examples in nature.
