@mjrhealth
hmmm I beg to differ , though I know what you mean.

When I was still in the church groups ..I never trusted a leader who did not "limp"..had not wrestled with God and be 'touched' in his walk.

Same with the cross...all my mentors were wonderful...and I could "see the cross" in the life and walk.
Others, to me..have no right to be in leadership. They show no "fingerprints" of God upon their lives.

This is how I "judge by their fruit".

reminds me of

Galatians 6
16 And as many as walk according to this rule, peace be on them, and mercy, and upon the Israel of God.
17 From henceforth let no man trouble me: for I bear in my body the marks of the Lord Jesus.
18 Brethren, the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit. Amen.

Much love!

I just realized . . . that was like over a year ago!

And you have just reminded me that I need to write to "mjrhealth" a PM.
I had no idea that it was a year ago. A year is the longest he has stayed away.
He took a break from all the arguing...but now we have a different set of 'arguers' LOL

Will drop him a line anyway.

We've all done things we wish we could undo, right? I know I have. It might be speaking harmful words instead of thoughtful ones. Or, offering indifference rather than kindness. It could be we have infused our minutes and hours with negativity and fear instead of faith and confidence. While we can't hit a delete or undo button for the regrettable things we've done in life, we do have hope!

Not only is God's mercy new every morning, but one day, we will stand before Him in heaven and the things of earth will be no more. All of our scars, regrets, sighs, and might-have-beens will fade in the light of His mercy and acceptance. God will once and for all Delete all the hurts, sorrows, and disappointments of our life on earth.

"...the former things will not be remembered, nor will they come to mind"
Isaiah 65:17.

The atonement was not to only to satisfy God's judgement but to reveal His love.

Jesus is not only our substitute, He is our companion and helper.
He died FOR everyone not only instead of.
He showed us how to die victoriously without fear.

And we all must die, both in body and to the self-will.
Further up and deeper in!!

Amen my sistah!!
The first thing that I lost when I came to know Him was the fear of physical death. Yeah, I know...so what happens if it's long and lingering suffering kind of death, easy to say when you are not going through the storm. A prayer of mine for myself, is to have the strength and courage to accept whatever might happen, no matter the degree or length of suffering involved; to still serve Him in the midst of it, to have strong faith, and to find the good in it because, "All things work for the good to those who love Him, and are called according to His purpose"

I have often wondered what was going through His mind when He prayed -
".....Take this cup from Me."

I'd 'like' to say all fear is gone...but , when I have a dentist appointment coming up....well....
Can't quite say that I am free of it 100%
Pain is not my friend . :D lol

“In the shadow of His hand hath He hid me, and made me a polished shaft; in His quiver hath He hid me. (Isaiah 49:2)

With all the purgings and purifyings – the polishings until we are pure in the image of Christ, there is also that becoming HIDDEN IN HIM, tucked away in His quiver the case to carry His arrows, until that day when He sends forth HIS ARROWS to subdue the adversary and bring all things into subjection to Himself.

Praise God!

Lord, help me to remember You are for me and You are with me.
You go before me and Your glory is my rear guard.
You, oh Lord, are a shield about me.
Help me to rest in You. Amen.
