As a word of caution, NEVER BELIEVE ANYTHING ANYONE TELLS YOU -- in this Forum, in church, or in life. ALWAYS go to Scripture (and sometimes Scripture and History) to validate any doctrine. Even though EVERYONE accepts something as "TRUTH", it may not be TRUE.
