Let me give you an example.

John 2:23-25 King James Version (KJV)
23 Now when he was in Jerusalem at the passover, in the feast day, many believed in his name, when they saw the miracles which he did.

24 But Jesus did not commit himself unto them, because he knew all men,

25 And needed not that any should testify of man: for he knew what was in man.

He was referring to the spirit of man being in man that does not know the things of God, as it is written:

For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God.

If you profess Jesus without the holy Spirit, what you are in truth doing is lying.

That's why the scripture says that no man can say that Jesus is the Lord but by the Holy Ghost..

John 5:31-32 King James Version (KJV)
31 If I bear witness of myself(MAN), my witness is not true.

32 There is another that beareth witness of me; and I know that the witness which he witnesseth of me is true.

John 7:18 King James Version (KJV)
18 He that speaketh of himself(MAN) seeketh his own glory(PRAISE): but he that seeketh his glory that sent him, the same is true, and no unrighteousness(LIE) is in him.

People in this present time have relegated walking in the Spirit to walking as any other man but with a sincere effort at doing what is right. Or it may even be being led by the Spirit...but NOT actually walking IN the Spirit.

So then people exaggerate their level of walks to believe in lies and half-truths.

People will take away righteousness from the righteous in the world...condemn these to hell...then do the same things but claim this as walking in the Spirit.

A terrible wrong. A lot of ignorance and proud attitudes among they whom claim grace the most...yet God gives grace to the humble...not the proud.

.yet God gives grace to the humble...not the proud.

So true, but at the same time I can see numerous occasions where my own pride was knocked down a peg or two. I was humbled and immediately saw that as God's grace. It is a blessing to be humbled by God. I was not born humble. I was a born ego maniac, and only through countless humbling events have I become humble. It seems paradoxical to feel grateful, but pride is embarrassing even when seen in others.

On second thought I have to disagree because God's grace knows no bounds. His grace, mercy, blessings, etc. are wastefully abundant. The only difference is in where fruit is produced. Fruit is produced in the humble, not the proud.

My friend, the author of the OP was (thankfully) banned.

Why are you so thankful, and why are you telling me this?
He was calling everyone on here lost and denying the truth if they didn’t agree with him. I was telling you this so that you wouldn’t have to worry about addressing a banned member who wouldn’t be able to respond to your post.

I wasn't addressing him. I'm not sure why I hadn't ignored him yet. Usually when people pull that nonsense, I just click "ignore". For some reason, I was ignoring his posts prior to actually hitting the "ignore" button. Perhaps I was going to give them the benefit of the doubt. I was responding to a post by Episkopos.

As soon as I post a reply, I don't really think about it unless someone does reply to it, but thanks for your concern.

This has kind of gotten me to thinking why don't people who want someone banned just click the "ignore" button? It's so much easier, and it allows those who want to engage the trolls something to do as well.

I was about to put him/her on ignore when I saw they were banned. Everybody has a right to their beliefs, but they were calling everyone lost if we didn’t agree with them.

I hate to see ppl banned, but at the same time, many deserved it. But I don’t want to hijack this thread anymore. Have a blessed day Brother.

This generation is self-centered, lovers of self, proud, arrogant, abusive...

I think we can see things like this in how people interact with other. Some will consider other people as not being Christian or as denying the truth simply for disagreeing with them. They become the standard and their understanding/ theology the gospel.

Part of this is also a lack of biblical literacy. Some seem to read commentaries and once they find a theology they like devote themselves to its defense. We are not born able to study the Bible. The Spirit is not witchcraft. We have to learn how to study Scripture and devote ourselves to its study.
