A shepherd may be considered to be hostile by the wolf who is coming in to devour the sheep. David, a shepherd, killed the lion and the bear to protect his sheep.

Yes, to the sheep, the shepherd is kind. But to those who are threatening the flock, they would do well to beware the shepherd; for he will use the sword of the Spirit to defend the flock from wild animals.

While my heart has changed on a certain issue, I will say to you clearly that my mind has not changed on many others.
This sounds like just another twisted way to justify your continual abuse of other people.
Yea, nothing has changed.
To which I respond with Isaiah 57:15, which tells me that the Lord is outside of time; and this explains Jeremiah 1:5 differently than what you are proposing. And since Mormonism is considered to be a cult, I think I will go with the more orthodox interpretation.
And continual abuse of not just me, but many others out there.

Important here: Christ (the ultimate Shepard, whom we show strive to imitate) never kill or attacked anyone. When Peter did so in Christ's defense, Christ instead healed his attacker. Follow Christ's example.

Isa 66:16, For by fire and by his sword will the LORD plead with all flesh: and the slain of the LORD shall be many.

Rev 19:15, And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.

I also do not kill or attack anyone (in the same way that Jesus didn't); but I will use the sword of the Spirit to defend the sheep against would-be attackers.

Heb 4:12, For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

Eph 6:17, And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:

Is not the sword an offensive weapon? But we use it, not to slay anyone physically, but to smite the devil and those who serve him in a spiritual manner.

Eph 6:12, For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

Perverting scripture to justify abuse and hatred. It's not of Christ.

Yea, nothing has changed.

I also don't need to prove to anyone that I have been redeemed. That is not the reason why I testified. I did not testify of the work of the Holy Spirit so that people would think more highly of me. It is really between me and the Lord.

Have you not heard that often, when a person comes to faith in Jesus Christ, they become more obnoxious / in your face rather than less so?

It is because we want to wake people out of their state of being dead in trespasses and sins. And for that to occur, they must become discontent with the state they are in. So we prick and prod the unbeliever so that he or she will wake up out of their sin.

Act 2:37, Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do?

A person acting in a manner contrary to Christ's example doesn't have Christ's light shining through them and is testifying contrary to Christ.
There is not an ounce of hatred behind my words or demeanor.
Most abusers say that. They claim that everything they do is out of love and go for the other person. Actions and results testify otherwise.
That's one reason of many we all (disciples of Christ) should strive to love in follow His example in word, deed, thought, and every part.

I know that I am not acting contrary to Christ's example; for He was abrasive at times.

Did He not say to the Pharisees, You are of your father the devil?

I can imagine Christ saying with a peaceful tone, Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites!

Here: justbyfaith, you can twist scripture all day long to justify your ABUSE of other people all you want. Justifications what abusers do.
But don't expect others to look for you to be a subsheapard or yield to your words. Rather, Christ told His disciples fo pray for their enemies and those that persecute them.

I was also merely pointing out that Christ will destroy His enemies on the final day; and therefore your contention that Christ would never kill or attack anyone is false.

The shepherd is always justified in attacking the wolf to defend the sheep from him/her.

Call it self-justification if you so desire; but nevertheless it is a fact of reality.

You are putting up a good fight, wolf. But you will not prevail against my sword, my rod, and my staff; for I am also wearing the breastplate of righteousness and putting up the shield of faith.

Of course. If anyone wants to correct me using the word, I am definitely open to that.
Ok let’s take a look at the sword
Hebrews 4:12 KJV
[12] For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

Tecarta BibleSeems pretty simple to me. It’s personal

I am not an emeny of Christ, rather His disciple. Along with the many other Christians of many other denominations here.

Maybe one day you'll see that. Until then.
