When i sin, i dont quite fear Him...The question is...How do we make ourselves fear God?
A hangman's noose is nothing. If one does not fear fires that cannot be put out, what does one fear?'It is a dreadful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.'

the fear of God that I have developed from years of disobiediance, My chastisement became hard and certain. and with that came the deeper more personel meaning of scripture such as.. Heb 10:26For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins, 27but a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries. 28He that despised Moses' law died without mercy under two or three witnesses: 29of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace?

I don't fear God, I love, respect, honour and worship Him. He has saved me, how could I fear Him.

Sometimes when scripture says that we should "fear" God does not mean to be afraid of Him., but rather He wants us to respect Him.JagLovest thou in Christ Yahshua, Lord and Saviour of the world.

When I was a kid if my dad told me (sometimes more than once) to take the trash to the curb when I got home from school and I didn't do it, I was in fear of the consequences. My dad loved me and I knew it, but he certainly corrected me. God isn't mean, but He is dangerous. Just as electricty isn't mean, but it is dangerous. The fear of the Lord is a very good motivator.

If perfect love drives out all fear then how do you perceive that you are to fear God?Fear of God is not a feeling of fear, no more than being afraid at a lion running at you is fear, but our body warning us with feelings of imminent danger allowing for the brain to send signals to the body administering adrenlin to allow us to run and get to safety.Fear of God is shown in acknowledging his truth and believing it.Committing a sin you are not sorry for is a different matter. But not fearing God is about doing the things he tells you not to do.If you fear God you acknowledge you do not do them because of him.But if you do not fear God then anything is open for you to do, because there is nothing to stop you from chosing to do anything, including murder but yourself. So fear of God is about acknowledging why we do no do certains things, as much as it is about why we do them.Sincerity and Truth are required when fearing God. Proverbs 3:7Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the LORD, and depart from evil. Fear of the Lord means we do not do the evil the world does simply because of him. There is lots more you could have. But the conception of fearing God in truth is shown by our turning from evil because of the truth he teaches us.Faithful.

Hmm,Fear the sin that corrupts you,Fear the one who deceives you,Fear the one who holds the gun,Fear the ones who will attack you for your beliefs! But by no means do I fear the God who helps me through the day,and guides me down the path I follow,or the one who loves me more than words could explain, who offers us salvation!

Perfect (mature) love casts out all human fear in the human realm, where we live in this fear-filled world. The only fear the mature one has is the fear of not fearing Him.

You'd better bet your sweet bippy! I would not want to be the one who crosses God! No way!FEAR? Am I scared of God? No...Do I fear God...absolutely...in that I have the utmost reverence/honor for Him. We all, most assuredly, should fear God.Psalms 34:9 Fear the LORD, you his saints, for those who fear him lack nothing.

The fear of God is the beginning of all wisdom. If you do not fear God, you have no wisdom, and in the words of the King Shlomo, are but a fool!

It seem to me if you did anything wrong in the books of moses you were punished hashly.
Which brings up a very good point. Do we fear(Love God) for what He has done for us or for fear that if we don't we will go to Hell, after all words are cheep, anyone can say I Love God and am a Christian when in reality we are told "You better Love God and confess your sins or your going to Hell" That may well be true but it is not an honest reason for coming to Him for salvationSo many people seem to think that God is setting up in heaven just waiting for them to commit a sin so that He can zap them with a lightening bolt. That is not my idea of a Loving God, but then I don't think as He does so how do I know. I am nieve enough to believe that He is willing and just to forgive us our sins if we are not to proud to confess them to Him, and not only 7 times but 490 plusMy bible tells me that He is not willing that any should parish but at the same time He can't be mocked, So If you try to con Him by asking Him into your heart just to please your parents or because you reason Hay! if I don't I'll go to Hell , so what have I got to loose, If there is no Heaven I haven't lost anything by saying I'm a Christian and playing church every Sunday, on the other hand If I denounce Him and There really is a Hell I would have made the wrong choice , so I think I'll just play the game and see what happens.God won't force anyone to accept Him but I don't think He wants us to do it out of Fear as we understand the word today.
