I like to highlight in the style of contrasts of the Semitic writing style. The first time I did that verse 20 became clear it was of the dark side. Before that I wasn't sure what John was saying. Many should do this to chapter one because the whole church seems to believe Christians are sinners and not children of God.
1 John 1:5-10; 2:1-
5 This is the message which we have heard from Him and declare to you, that God is light and in Him is no darkness at all. 6 If we say that we have fellowship with Him, and walk in darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth.....
12 I write to you, little children,
Because your sins are forgiven you for His name’s sake.....
20 But you have an anointing from the Holy One, and you know all things. 21 I have not written to you because you do not know the truth....
Jesus answered them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, whoever commits sin is a slave of sin. 35 And a slave does not abide in the house forever, but a son abides forever. 36 Therefore if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed.....
Whoever commits sin also commits lawlessness, and sin is lawlessness. 5 And you know that He was manifested to take away our sins, and in Him there is no sin. 6 Whoever abides in Him does not sin. Whoever sins has neither seen Him nor known Him. ....
18 My little children, let us not love in word or in tongue, but in deed and in truth. 19 And by this we know that we are of the truth, and shall assure our hearts before Him. 20 For if our heart condemns us, God is greater than our heart, and knows ....
24 Now he who keeps His commandments abides in Him, and He in him. And by this we know that He abides in us, by the Spirit whom He has given us.

So, again, you're not a sinner, I see .....

Schnarkle, I noticed you got a new soul's mate - refer #58!

Why? Are you a sinner? Or are you a Christian?

John 8:34-36
34 Jesus answered them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, whoever commits sin is a slave of sin. 35 And a slave does not abide in the house forever, but a son abides forever. 36 Therefore if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed.

1 John 3:1
Behold what manner of love the Father has bestowed on us, that we should be called children of God

1 John 3:4-6

4 Whoever commits sin also commits lawlessness, and sin is lawlessness. 5 And you know that He was manifested to take away our sins, and in Him there is no sin. 6 Whoever abides in Him does not sin. Whoever sins has neither seen Him nor known Him.

1 John 1:7
7 But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin.

Rape is a strong word to say about highlighting scripture.

John wrote it and used the Semitic writing style of contrasts. If you want to know what an author means, study his style. All I did to them was highlight those of a Christian a different color to those of Satan's children. Half the Bibles in America use colors to highlight certain areas of importance.

What is it you disagree with John over? Do you believe him, or believe the lie that Christians are sinners, and not children of God?

Now you are saying that what was taken out of the way was Jesus! Where did you dump Him, I want to go rescue Him!!!

I did not say it <now> -- I have been saying it all along, halve a century long. YES, I TOOK JESUS OUT OF THE WAY AND DUMPED HIM, and that's the difference between me and you, sinless. I need Jesus; sinless don't. In fact, Jesus said He came not to heal the sound, but the sick, LIKE ME.

If He came to heal the sick, does He? Or does He leave you sick? It is the same answer for sin.

All God's children are sinners and only SINNERS are children of God. No sinless are children of God, you <charismatic> liar! So there's still the possibility that if God willed you might be a child of God.

This is your problem ... the universal problem, That you want to rescue God in stead of God rescue you. It's all what YOU want, nothing which GOD wants and from eternity through Jesus Christ wanted.

All God's children WERE sinners, but are children of God now. Only the righteous and holy will be in heaven with Him. Revelation 22:11. The filthy sinners will be with their chosen father in hell.

<Context> in 1Corinthians 15 and 16 is no <commandment> but the announcement of an appeal made (or read) before the Congregation for "each one at his own home", to "reckon out" and "put aside to his ability" whatever for Paul to collect when he sometime future would come to collect and bring it to the poor in Jerusalem.

Paul made this announcement directly after his sermon (or sermon read out) before the congregation in Corinth, with a Demonstrative Pronominal phrase "REGARDING the First Day" which means he made his appeal BEFORE the First Day. And Paul's announcement was "regarding / concerning the collection" [peri tehs logeias] not concerning "every First Day of the week" [kata Mian sabbatou].

So one could not carry out this <commandment> if not "at home each one on his own every First Day of the week". And the announcement or appeal could not have been made except to the Congregation on the day BEFORE which was the Sabbath.

The days are over chum every Dick Tom and Harry can be theology's voice of falsehood drowning the voice of actual Scripture Truth.
It does not matter when Paul made the command, the command requires Christians to meet on the first day of the week (first day from Sabbath) to give of their means.

Colossians 2:13-17 does not have the word or meaning of, <meat> nor of <drink> nor of <an holyday> nor of <the new moon> nor of <in respect of the sabbath>. Your whole 'quote' is a corruption.

Here is the correct rendering, ""Do not you THEREFORE let yourselves be judged by anybody with regard to your eating and drinking of a feast of yours whether of month's or of Sabbaths"
"Do not you let yourselves be judged" : 'meh hymahs krinetoh'
"therefore" : 'oun'
"by anybody" : 'tis'
"with regard to" : 'en .... en .... en merei'
"your eating and drinking" : 'brohsei kai posei'
"whether (with regard to) : '(en merei) eh'
"(either) of a feast (of yours)" : 'eh heortehs'
"(either) of (a) month's" : "eh neomehnias'
"or of Sabbaths'" : 'eh sabbatohn'
"which is/are" - 'ha estin' ......."

The context in Colossians 2 clearly shows Christ took the OT law out of the way on HIs cross making it of no effect Colossians 2:14 "Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross;" By doing away with the OT law Christ freed man from that 'yoke of bondage' that required flawless law keeping to be justified where now man now has liberty in Christ (Galatians 5:1).

So when Paul writes in Colossians 2:16 "Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days:"

With the verb 'judge' being present tense implies there were false teachers in Colossae at that time who were judging the Christians there because those Christians were not keeping the OT law of Moses. Paul is telling them not to give up their liberty in Christ by keeping requirements of the OT law , that is, Paul is telling let no men judge you or require of you what God has not requred of you. God did NOT require of those Christians in Colossae to keep the OT law in regarding meats, drinks holydays, new moon or Sabbath days. It was FALSE TEACHERS that were judging those Christians for not keeping the law.

Secondly, we can get from Paul's point that if the Sabbath were still binding than ALL the Jewish festivlas and holydays, diet etc, ALL the OT is binding.

WHAT is it <to keep the Sabbath day as a religious ordinance of God> IF NOT to <preach the gospel to the lost on Sabbath days> verdomp!!!!

I can teach one the gospel on a Saturday which is far from me keeping the Sabbath day as a holyday. Paul preached the gospel to the lost every opportunity he had including teaching on the Sabbath and in syngogues. Yet such does not in anyway mean Paul was keeping the OT law.

It does not matter when Paul made the command, the command requires Christians to meet on the first day of the week (first day from Sabbath) to give of their means.

Just, only, please, q-u-o-t-e that supposed <command .. to meet on the first day>. The last verses of 1Corinthians 15 contain Paul's AFTER-SERMON-appeal (no <command>) which was read to the Congregation on the Sabbath the day BEFORE--, an announcement-appeal "CONCERNING THE COLLECTION EVERYONE BY HIMSELF should work out and put aside AT HOME every First Day of the week".

Get this straight, the idea that <<Paul made the command (that) requires Christians to meet on the first day of the week>> is FAKED, first hand, FRAUD. Do not be deceived by nin-com-poop Sunday pastors who every Sunday spin this lie with their months' end stipend in mind.
