Scavengers among us.....

This site does a pretty good job of getting rid of Trolls, but the scavengers still picked at the bones of threads that have run their course. Visit any thread that has devolved from its original point and you will see the ugly squabbling and fight for the last scraps of decency and respect for the topic or others.

Most of the insults and degradation of others occurs during the last 20 or so pages of dead thread. Please don’t be a troll or a vulture. If you have nothing to add to a conversation or just want to squabble, remember we are called to love not to bully or assert over egos over others.

Rarely is a thread edifying after page 5. Not saying it doesn't happen, just that it's rare.

Yeah, it’s true. I think it is interesting when a new person gives a difference perspective on the OP, but even when that happens it rarely needs to be discussed.

Well, I don't mind new perspectives from new members because we have all been a new member at one time. But I think what you are saying is that when a new member comes on with a radical idea and hard stance, it's nothing new. Nothing that folks here for a long time haven't heard before and dealt with.

Nah, not necessarily a radical idea or new member,
Just a different perspective on the OP

Pride dies hard or hardly dies.
Many don't want to be proven wrong in front of an audience, so they go to incredible lengths to cover up, justify or just plain twist other's words to lessen a blow...some just like to scrap regardless.

I agree.

A forum is an open invitation to a war of wills. This kind of thing should be expected, if not endured. Such is life. But the idea that those who holdout until the end are implemented in "ugly squabbling" is like spitting on veterans returning from battle. Is this the reception that should be given the armies of the Lord?

What bothers me are the moles, the resistance, the sympathizers, the traitors, the double agents, and the children of a multitude of false doctrines (the anti-Christs).

These times were foretold: "Yes, the time is coming that whoever kills you will think that he offers God service", even if only in word.

Hi Aspen,

I find that true a lot of the time, and I've become prepared to abandon any thread I've created once it starts to drift. But I've also see where we can pick up the thread of discussion and have a good little fellowship in the midst of an even divisive thread.

Sometimes it doesn't even make 1 full page!
