Hebrews 11:6 (NASB)
And without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is and that He is a rewarder of those who seek Him.

“without faith”

Faith in God, faith in the goodness of God. Faith in the goodness and love of God pointed to each and every one of us personally.

Than with this faith, one must come to God and believe that He will reward them and that He will reward them personally.

It is having this faith in God that pleases Him, that expects to receive from Him.

For God wants to bless, wants to bring forth good things in the lives of those that would believe, trust and put their faith in His heart of love and goodness towards them.

To the end that their hearts can prove what He has said;

“that He is a rewarder of those that seek Him.”

For God waits to prove Himself in our lives. He wants to be found, wants to be known. Wants to be trusted, believed and hoped in. He wants His love toward us to be found, felt, known, trusted and experienced.

For God, as He says of Himself, is a rewarder of those that seek Him. But those that seek Him can and will only find Him where He is to be found, and that is in righteousness. For this is where He waits, for this is the only place He can bless, is to those willing to walk in righteousness. For God is good and can only do the good and the right thing. For it is the heart willing to walk in all the righteousness it sees, is the heart that will know, find, experience God. Will prove that God is and is a rewarder of those that seek Him.

This is the God who desires to be found.

This God who has called us to Himself, can and will only be found by the heart that would have Him. By the heart that hungers and thirsts after having such a relationship with Him. Which is only and always found by the seeking heart living up to the standard to which it has obtained, with the desire that it might obtain more.

For the heart that does seek, shall find. The heart that does ask, shall receive, the heart that does knock, to that heart, the door will be opened.

But the heart needs to be seeking.

It is to this seeking heart goes the smile of God. This is that that brings the peace, joy and contentment in God. The knowing you are pleasing to Him. The lightness of heart, the lightness of spirit, the burden has been lifted. Though outwardly all might be falling apart, all might be a disaster after human reasonings. All might be contrary to what you might want. But inwardly all is at rest, all is at peace. For you know whom you have believed, hoped and put your trust in. For He is good, and you have come to know by experience that this goodness is pointed towards you.

“let God be true and every man a liar”.

The freedom and joy that such a truth brings.

For God is in whom our hope is to be in. In this good God alone. To see the goodness of God in the land of the living is our hope, our joy, our reward.

To see His goodness towards you personally, to taste and see the goodness of His love poured out towards you, to experience His love towards you. For we have a personal God who is interested in each and every one of us personally.

To the seeking heart goes all these good things. To the heart that will not let Him go till He blesses that heart. To this seeking heart goes the smile of the one we would have smile on us..

Blessings to all that would want His smile, Not me

Yes! He waits for our hearts to open to Him....that's all He waits for!

This is the God that has revealed Himself in me. I can’t but speak the truths He has opened up in and to me.

Yes it is so true;

“it’s all He waits for.”

Our hearts to be open to Him. But it takes a heart that has been opened by God to see and recognize this.

Be blessed my fellow laborer in Christ, as God digs deeper and deeper destroying, killing all of self which is the one thing that prevents us from growing in Christ, Not me

Clearly methodists are posting here, they are the only group who go by the name of Christian and make no referrence to what makes anyone Christian.

Lets be honest, what has been said so far means nothing. Love of God, love for God is totaly meaningless unless that love is centered upon Jesus by someone who is a follower of Jesus, who has faith in his death and resurrection.

One can whitter on about the love one has for God but because one is not following Jesus have no love for God.
Ultimatly if one does not believe in Jesus as Lord and Saviour, it doesn't matter how much one talks about love, as ones action in not having faith in Jesus shows that one actually hates God.

Why do you 'wish' for something? Are you unable to pray to God for anything?

I pray that you might really know just what Paul was on about in
Ephesians 3:14-21 and that you might experience this unknowable love in your life.

I like you. :)

Thank you, but I think it might be better to say, you like the Christ you see in me.

As I too, see Christ in your writings and a heart that would be all His, if only it knew the how.

Blessings as we learn the how by experience, Not me

Explain that one to me, please.

We all as Christians are struggling to work out our own salvation. Regardless of how much we have achieved, that achievement only brings a deeper knowledge of just how much we need Christ. So a heart that would constantly seek to grow more into Christ is a heart that is always seeking the deeper “how”.

Be blessed my sister in Christ for it is self evident He is alive and working in you. And tomorrow more still, Not me

I know this is an old post but, I had missed it last year @Not me
Very timely for me at this moment in time! Thank you :)
I would gladly have my hip pulled out of joint to get hold of Him...
"Then the man said, “Your name will no longer be Jacob, but Israel, because you have struggled with God and with humans and have overcome."

And just to think that God sometimes 'smiles' down on us is something that automatically makes me smile!
Good Post NM. :)
