Robin and Aus,If you live in a highly populated downtown city, I would seriously consider moving out of it. Even now, there is turmoil when the wheather turns bad. Delivery trucks have not been able to get to our part of the suburbs for several days. There is no gas at the stations and food is dwindling on the shelves. I can't imaging how it is in the city. In a disaster, there will be riots and crime for stealing food in the heart of cities. That's historical and set an example for us that we should heed.So, yes, stock up on food, water, candles, lanterns, medicines, toiletries, fuel, etc. Buy extra each time that you go to the store so that the expense is spread out and have a particular area to store it. Rice, beans, canned goods, bottled water, etc.......What I am holding onto is, the fact that Scripture states that God LOVES His Children and has always taken care of those who love and honor Him. If we are loyal to only Him, why would he be angry at us? He will not be! I am very loyal and steadfast in my faith. He has been actively in my life forever and I do expect Him to be there evermore! He made us promises that He wants us to remind Him of. He loves us enough to go through all of this with us and for us. A parent doesn't punish a faithful and loyal child. They protect them.That's not to say that one can be naive, however. Prepare yourself for the "what if". Man still has freewill to choose his behavior and those are the ones to protect ourselves from. Cedar, with all due respect, perhaps the tribulation will be the ultimate test of our faith (assuming it happens while we are alive and all is pointing to that) and part of that test of faith is to put our trust totally in the Lord supplying all of our needs based on our faith.It seems to me that the parables Jesus told are even more appropriate now and, in true divine form, they are far deeper than even our deepest study can go to date.

Hi Robin.Yes, prepare by whatever means possible. Yes, I believe we should all be ready to defend ourselves, our families and our property as our ancestors were. Yes, and that means being "armed". You should also be prepared to leave where you are on short notice and to travel lightly. Or set yourself up to be mobile, if possible. My husband and I have begun making preparations. Just use some common sense and good judgment. The internet is a good place to find information on preparing for disasters, war, terrorism, etc. Do a search on YouTube. Yes, some of it will scare you, no doubt.Our own government is preparing the armed forces right now to quell civil unrest. They did it in New Orleans when Katrina kit. I realized one day that some "alarmists" and "conspiracy theorists" are not "nutcases". The U.S. Government is telling us what they are doing. We need to pay close attention and be ready.Remember, Jesus told us, "we wise as serpents, but harmless as doves". Do not draw attention to yourself. i am saying there are things that some people will do ,not just sit on faith alone.even tho what we do is though faith.i was saying things about the usa and you brought that to question..have you ever heard what i say i saw .and was privy to information on the war and why was the 9/11 set up..i do not just repeat myself.i say many things that you do not hear..fine i will go over my posts and correct what i said .i will try to put it in polite words with verses from the bible..wow i do not know why you get so upset.i am on christ side ...i would be there cutting the trees in the path for others to walk easier[i mean with a chain saw and axe]you have faith to get to work next week but there are people there to help with the travel ....
