Witnessing for Him

Last year I prayed that God would put people in my life that He could minister to through me. Several people have come and gone and I never failed to minister the gospel of Jesus and the love of God to them.
The past few weeks there have been 3 women that He has put in my life.....this past week all 3 of them were struggling with their life situations. I prayed for each of them and tonight I found out 2 of them went to church and gave their lives to Jesus...the 3rd one refuses to hear about God but I am still praying and believing God to minister to her heart.
I am so joyful in seeing lives changed by His love and salvation through Jesus. Their countenance has totally changed!
I know His Word says some plant, some water, but God gives the increase.....for those who I ministered to in the past that wasn't ready to give their lives to God I have faith in the Word that was planted that it will increase and they will call upon God to forgive them and save them.
I am ever so much more encouraged to continue to minister the love of God and the message of hope through the saving power of Jesus.

The men in the break room at work the other night were talking about men that had lost their life at our work. I asked them all what they thought happens when we die? I was amazed at some of the answers, one said he becomes worm food, said life was a sexually transmitted disease and in every case it’s fatal.

Back on topic,

One evening a few years ago. I was driving home ready to finish my day, I was exhausted from the heat, suddenly God speaks to my soul today you will bare witness of me. I wept,

I traveled a few miles more approaching home about to make my destination, the phone began to ring, I answer. “Hello my name is Mary, I’m calling to see what you would charge to come and look at my A/C,, I don’t know if we can afford to have it repaired”. I’ll come diagnose it and we’ll go from there.

So I arrived at her house about twenty minutes later where I’m met by her and her boyfriend. I began checking the unit to find the problem while were having a conversation about God. Mary says she god to church every Sunday and wishes he would attend with her. The boyfriend responds He doesn’t believe in church. Mary leaves and goes in the house we continue to talk for a while as he explains to me how women are just nagging whores.

Time passes while I’m repairing the unit and suddenly his friend the Catholic shows up and joins in on the conversation. Suddenly both are explaining to me about how nasty women are. They disappeared for a couple of minutes returning with pistols, I believe they were 9 mm ask if I mind them taking some target practice. I responded suit yourself. For about 15 minutes they shoot wholes in a car hood about 10 feet from me, as they Carry on about how pointless church is.

The conversation continues to the front yard where I’m trying to get into my truck not even wanting to Bill the poor woman just ready to leave. At this time all three are before me. One foot in the truck God speaks to the boyfriend. You are called to bare the image of Christ.

The catholic friend walks to the house and sits on the steps of the front porch, in silence.

The woman won’t even look at me also silent. The boyfriend begins to weep for about 10 minutes it seemed on my neck trembling. I’ll have to post the rest later got something to take care of.

Tonight I have been bombarded by these 2 women who gave their heart to Jesus to call me asking for a various things.....one needed a ride to the store, the other needing to vent all her stress....and I have been very generous to be there for them these past few weeks. Tonight I wasn't in much condition to be there for them but I made myself get up and do it anyway. I prayed to God and asked is this you or satan using me? He said this is the life of a pastor.....now to me I got 2 different messages. ..1. Am I being called to pastor? Or 2. Am i being shown what pastors go through on a daily basis.....
I think the latter is the case....if I had to deal with a whole congregation like this I wouldn't make it
....
.makes me appreciate more of what a pastor's life is really like.

You have made disciples as Jesus commanded and now you are pastoring them and discipling them as they grow in the faith. May God give you the strength to persevere and not grow weary.

it's your gift! Thanks Pearl, ministering does become burdensome at times. I have to remember to stay prayed up....I just get so close to people that I feel what they feel and it usually isn't joy...at first anyway....and new converts tend to have a lot of baggage to deal with...so it wears me down occasionally.
I do have a better understanding of a pastors role through this. Makes me have a deeper appreciation for them.
Strengthen me Lord to make disciples for your Kingdom.

So the boyfriend starts to confess his sins to me once he’s pulled himself together, I didn’t see this coming. I have to admit it was was very strange.

12 years prior to me meeting him he’d lived in Florida, where he was involved in drug abuse him and his best friend in the work Shane. He was married at the time and had a small child. He and Shane would would hang out at an old shack somewhere off in a remote area where they would escape from the reality of life while his wife and child were left alone neglected.

One day they realized the area wasn’t as remote as they had thought, when law enforcement showed up seizing them and their escape stash. Of course Shane being the good friend that he is said it all belonged to the broken man in front of me. He spent the next 5 years in prison.

During his time in prison Shane assumes his role as daddy. 12 years later he says I loved my friend and I just want to forgive him and see my child, but this is when things get strange, he looks at me say the weird thing is your him, the other two present are nodding their heads in agreement.

I assure him I’ve never been in the state of Florida, he responds you don’t understand you look identical to him even speak and sound identical.... will you forgive me.
