I believe Genesis says Eve was made not created.

How do you explain:

Genesis 1:27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.

Genesis 5:2 Male and female created he them; and blessed them, and called their name Adam, in the day when they were created.

The problem is that people do not study the Bible and form a "lesson", which is why there is confusion, and to answer the original point of the thread of why we need Priests. A Priest/Preacher and Teacher are Christians given the Spiritual Gift to study the Bible on a spiritual level, just as a historian studies facts and documents of human past on a flesh level. Like many times on these forums with Biblical knowledge and people wanted to be seen smart at a social gathering, both repeat quotes or facts randomly to suggest they have an understanding of what they do not know. Quoting a Scripture about the creation without the study and background to understand it, is the same as someone quoting a book about middle age knights jousting without knowing the complex reasoning of what jousting was or why it was done to fully understand it.

Genesis 1:26 And God said, Let us MAKE man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.

Genesis 1:27 So God CREATED man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.

Genesis 1:28 And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.

In Genesis 1 both terms "make" and "created" were used at the same time about both men and women, so any theory of made/create difference is purely a flesh imagination. This also shows that within the first six days of creation, God created man and woman at the same time and the first commandment to humans was to "Be fruitful, and multiply". The entire purpose of the early human race was too "replenish the earth", there were no other commandments or laws.

Genesis 2:1 Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them.

Genesis 2:7 And the Lord God FORMED man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.

Genesis 2:8 And the Lord God planted a garden eastward in Eden; and there he put the man whom he had formed.

Here is why people throwing random quotes without the gift of teaching comes to error, because they do not know how to connect the dots spiritual speaking and just fill in un-inspiried "dots" with their flesh imaginations for things to make sense for their traditions of man. If we read past the first chapter talking about creation, the first verse of chapter 2 tells us "Thus the heavens and the earth were finished" to continue the time line that the six day creation was in the past. Then we move down to verse 7+8 where God "formed man..and man became a living soul", this is where flesh imagation comes into play since people do not understand God and they say Adam and Eve were the first people. But that is clearly biblically wrong Since Adam was not formed until after the seventh day, and there is no time frame of how long he was alone before God created Eve since he did it because Adam became lonely. Many "fill in" the dots, that this was a jump into the past in the middle of Genesis 1:27, but this is wrong because Chapter 2:1 says the second chapter is a continuation and Chapter 1 man was created/made while Adam was formed a living soul. Adam and Eve was not commanded to re-populate the Earth but only not eat of the tree of Good and Evil, along with them being placed in Eden which was a paradise on Earth.

Job 1:9 Then Satan answered the Lord, and said, Doth Job fear God for nought?

Job 1:10 Hast not thou made an hedge about him, and about his house, and about all that he hath on every side? thou hast blessed the work of his hands, and his substance is increased in the land.

Job 1:11 But put forth thine hand now, and touch all that he hath, and he will curse thee to thy face.

Job 1:12 And the Lord said unto Satan, Behold, all that he hath is in thy power; only upon himself put not forth thine hand. So Satan went forth from the presence of the Lord.

The story of Adam and Eve has been retold many times with Job, with Israel, and now with Christians. God has always picked a small group of people to be his "chosen", who he protects and blesses. By Genesis 2:1 the world was already filled with people (and that is why there are Asians and Blacks, since the difference races could not have come from the "adamic" or white man), but Adam and Eve was God's chosen people who he protected by a "hedge" and blessed in Eden. The devil also plays the same games with Adam and Eve as he does with us, he is the tempter that God gives power too so we can be tested. We know that Adam and Eve failed their test and were punished, but Job passed his tested and he was rewarded double which goes with Scripture.

Genesis 4:16 And Cain went out from the presence of the Lord, and dwelt in the land of Nod, on the east of Eden.

Genesis 4:17 And Cain knew his wife; and she conceived, and bare Enoch: and he builded a city, and called the name of the city, after the name of his son, Enoch.

Genesis 4:25 And Adam knew his wife again; and she bare a son, and called his name Seth: For God, said she, hath appointed me another seed instead of Abel, whom Cain slew.

When Adam and Eve was thrown out of Eden they had their first child cain, then Abel was born after. So that this time period from Adam's timeline, there are only four people on Earth. But when cain killed Abel he was banished from the presence of God, which shows that Adam's bloodline was still God's chosen even after their sin. Even more important, is that cain went east of Eden to the land of Nod where he found a wife and built a city. But in verse 25 of the same chapter is when the third child Seth was born, so there was no way cain could find a wife and populate a city when at that point in time there were only three people alive including cain from Adam's timeline. Which proves that six day creation man/women were different then Adam/Eve's Bloodline, which was first hinted too when the population of Earth was "created" but Adam was a "formed...living soul".

Your Husband is the savior of the body.

Luke 10:39 And she had a sister called Mary, which also sat at Jesus' feet, and heard his word.

Luke 10:40 But Martha was cumbered about much serving, and came to him, and said, Lord, dost thou not care that my sister hath left me to serve alone? bid her therefore that she help me.

Luke 10:41 And Jesus answered and said unto her, Martha, Martha, thou art careful and troubled about many things:

Luke 10:42 But one thing is needful: and Mary hath chosen that good part, which shall not be taken away from her.

It is true that Paul and Peter said women should learn from their husbands and remain silent, but they were quoting old Jewish law that was nailed to the cross along with circumcision. Many Apostles struggled with giving up their Jewish law, to the point of disobeying Jesus' last commandment to preach the truth to all the world. Most Apostles followed the Jewish law and did not even speak to the gentiles, never mind preach the Word of God to them. So when you see scripture about Paul saying "women should remain silent", you have to take into context that he still has not abandoned the old law yet fully as we see throughout the New Testament. As we see in Luke 10, Martha was doing the "woman's job" of letting the man talk and she cooks. But when Martha asked Jesus to tell her sister Mary to be a good Jewish woman and get in the kitchen to leave the men to talk, Jesus rebuked her and said "Mary hath chosen that good part".

We have to understand that Christianity is a spiritual walk not of flesh and blood, there is no man or female in the Body of Christ only Obident Christians. GodsGrace's soul is her own and so is her spiritual walk, if she blindly follows her husband then when she dies and stands before God she can not say "you can not send me to Hell, I did what my husband demanded of me". The Father will remind her of Jesus' words that we must forsake fathers, mothers, sons, daughters, husbands, and chose him.

The Gospel of John starts with the words "In the beginning . . . ," which hearken back to Genesis 1:1: "In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth." In the next four verses, John goes on to write of light, life, creation, and light shining in darkness – once again, images taken right out of the creation story (Jn. 1:25). By drawing on these themes from Genesis, John introduces the story of Jesus against the backdrop of the story of creation, highlighting how Jesus comes to bring about a renewal of all creation.

Some scholars have noted how Johns Gospel continues this creation theme by setting up a series of days that establishes a new creation week. The sequence begins in 1:1 with the phrase "In the beginning." John then demarcates a second day in 1:29 with the words "The next day . . . " He then uses the same phrase to note a third day in 1:35 and a fourth day in 1:43. Finally, after the succession of these first four days, the story of the Wedding at Cana is introduced as taking place three days after the fourth day: "On the third day there was a marriage at Cana . . . " (2:1). The third day after the fourth day would represent the seventh day in the Gospel of John. Consequently, the wedding at Cana comes at the climax of the new creation week, the seventh day.

Now we are ready to understand the profound meaning of Jesus calling His mother "woman" at the wedding feast of Cana. Highlighting how this scene takes place on the seventh day of the new creation week, Johns Gospel leads us to view Jesus and Mary in light of the creation story. And in this context, Jesus calls Mary "woman." With the Genesis themes in the background, this title would bring to mind the "woman" of Genesis, Eve (Gen. 2:23; 3:20).

Now you say words don't matter.

You say "six days of creation."

You forgot part of the verse.

You seem carried away with your own sense of superiority and without good cause. I thought that God rested on the Seventh Day.

Proves? It looks like assumption on your part.
Luke 10:39 And she had a sister called Mary, which also sat at Jesus' feet, and heard his word.

You need to start checking passages before trying to quote them. The passage does not include "husbands."

Matthew 19:29 And every one that hath forsaken houses, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my name's sake, shall receive an hundredfold, and shall inherit everlasting life.

I have great faith that the unbelieving husband can be sanctified by the believing wife.

1 Corinthians 7:14 For the unbelieving husband is sanctified by the wife, and the unbelieving wife is sanctified by the husband: else were your children unclean; but now are they holy.

Knowing Mary Through the Bible: New Wine, New Eve
There is a problem with your theory. Jews do not get married on the Sabbath. They say one joyous occasion should not be mixed with another.

It would also create difficulties for people who had to travel, and what about the people doing jobs at the wedding?

How we use words has changed over time. Even we humans can make things; but only God can produce something out of nothing.
He didn't 'produce' Adam from nothing though did he? Nor Eve.

Right. So the word "make" is used. I think the reason the word "create" is also used is because of the special breath of life -- more than the "soul" of animals, but "a living soul". We shouldn't believe that was something material, so the word "create" is used. That was an explanation I read once and it made sense to me.

According to the dictionary definition the words are interchangeable.

I think procreated. I do not have access myself to the image and likeness of God. I believe we are "conformed" to the image of His Son.
Procreated by our parents.....
God CREATED man and then He told man to recreate or procreate himself.
Just like the plants are to do.

We are still made in the image of God.
This is accepted theology.
We are ALSO conformed to the human image of His Son.
