Philippians 2:2,

2 Fulfil ye my joy, that ye be likeminded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind.

Underline same love, it is the same love that Jesus has.
For those that love God and the brethern! you have never had love of your own. The love you have felt is the love of God, "God is love." You thought you had love, but love is a super natural thing, a deep spiritual thing that is shed abroad in our heart by the HolySpirit. How is it the HolySpirit can shed abroad the love of God? By simply revealing Christ in you, to you, as your only life.

How does the fruit of the Spirit work? The same way, by Christ in you. The fruit of the Spirit is who he is. The HolySpirit does not give you anything, he is the revealer of your everything. So by Christ in you the fruit of the Spirit comes forth. It is his personally, his character if you will, it is who he is "IN YOU." As mentioned afore you cannot stress the in Christ understanding enough because nothing happens outside of that positioning, that placing, that birthing. You are born into it, you are placed in Christ by being born again. Oh did we mention religion fails to teach that little footnote of being in Christ by a birthing. They do not even teach "in Christ," why would they mention a birthing. Just a small little thing, no biggie with enough self effort surely the people can be something in themselves, heresy.

If it could be done by man it would have already been done in the Old Testament, if man could do it there would have never been a cross, no blood that streamed from Calvary. That blood is your everything because it killed what kept you slave to your old man nature, and now as a Christian free to have the love of God shed abroad in you by Christ. Those that are still trying to work something up and make Christianity work can never do it. All religion can do is make a money making machine out of the people. They never quite reach their goal, it's like the dangling carrot syndrome that never comes through.

But the people are encouraged not to give up it's right around the corner, and they get played like a fiddle. If the last book didn't work, you must try this new one, surely it will hold your answer. An old saying comes to mind "hood winked, pull the wool over your eyes, hogwash." We have the book of all books, read it like it should be read and move on. Get up get out and move on in God, there is no time for playing Christianity. You have had enough trouble don't add to it, this world will bring it's trials already without adding to it. At least go through this life knowing something, if you have to suffer at least make it worth your while.

Yes! God is Love and this is the bottom line! This is the message of the gospel. We are called to be like God and love Him and our neighbors. Ironic that this is the thread no one responds to - lol! On a Christian site, soulman starts a thread on love and everyone looks, but doesn’t respond because they are too busy being right on other threads

@soul man

But as the OP states the Holy Spirit is "the revealer of everything". That is to say, "the interpreter":

"But if there be no interpreter, let him keep silence in the church; and let him speak to himself, and to God." I Cor 14:28

"I would that ye all spake with tongues, but rather that ye prophesied: for greater is he that prophesieth than he that speaketh with tongues, except he interpret, that the church may receive edifying." I Cor 14:5

Jesus had the interpretation of the Father's Word at all times, but we may also by the leading provided by the Holy Spirit in us. Our problem always is that we, most all of us, regularly quench the Holy Spirit. This thing of quenching the Holy Spirit is taught by nearly every denominational church of our experience.

What must we do to stop this quenching?

"Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:" Matt 7:7

People can make you think that love can be picked up at a garage sale or enveloped in a Hallmark card. But the kind of love that God created and demonstrated is a costly one because it involves sacrifice and presence. It’s a love that operates more like a sign language than being simply typed out in a Theological statement. What I've learned from life about the brand of love Jesus offers is that it’s more about presence than delivering one of a line of posts in a thread on a forum. It’s a brand of love that doesn’t just think about good things, or agree with them, or talk about them. What I have learned reinforces the simple truth that continues to weave itself into the tapestry of every close relationship: Love does.
Suggestion: Compose a letter to someone special to you (maybe even on this forum?) if you cannot do the better thing and physically reach out and be near them. That is love, doing.

At least three Greek words are translated "love" in the New Testament.

There's agape (ag-ah'-pay) which is love as a noun.

There's agapao (ag-ap-ah'-o) which is love as an expression.

And there's phileo (fil-eh'-o) which is love as an emotion.

Just about everybody practices agapao in one form or another. It's an
impersonal kind of friendliness exemplified by things like courtesy,
sympathy, kindness, tolerance, charity, generosity, and civility.

It's not required to like the people to whom we extend agapao. Even holding
doors open for total strangers counts as agapao because it's more an act of
the will than of the heart; for example John 3:16.

"For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten son, that
whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life.

The love that God feels for His friends is different than John 3:16. It's phileo;
for example John 16:27

"The Father Himself loves you, because you have loved me, and have
believed that I came forth from the Father."

Phileo is a personal love; it's tender, sentimental, and close to home;
consisting of things like bonding, fondness and affection. God doesn't feel
phileo for just anybody; only for people close to his heart.
