It's simple! You pray! As long as you are communicating with our Father, through Jesus Christ, no EVIL can ever get/come between you and Jesus. I have heard how important prayer was in a Christian's life and walk with God, but kinda took it for granted. For many years I took it for granted. When I say pray, I don't mean that half sleepy eyed prayer you say at night before you fall asleep. I mean prayer every second of the day, every minute of the day. When I am at work, which sometimes takes a huge amount of concentration, in the back recesses of my mind I'm praying. Try doing chest compressions on someone that is getting ready to die, saved or unsaved. Or putting an IV in some one that desperately needs Epinephrine to jump start their Heart! Sounds nerve racking huh? I'm praying! Not just for them, but myself. Satan does not have much time left. He will use any and all situations to attack you! He doesn't care if i'm trying to save a life, he doesn't care if I'm sleepy or tired. He will try anything he can to disrupt your communication with Christ. This is key, "disrupt", "discourage", only way to guard against it is prayer! Do not even get out of bed in the mornings before you check your lines of communicating with our Father, through Jesus Christ. It doesn't have to be a formal prayer all the time. Sometimes I just wake up and say "Hello God, I feel like crap, I really don't want to go to work today!" "Please O'Lord strengthen me." Sometimes, I may not feel like uttering anything out, I just groan and growl lol, the spirit in me will intercede for me ;)

PS: Prayer and Supplication (get on your knees) will do wonders for your walk with God.

Good post! Oh yes, Satan is very well versed in his trade. Subtle and smart. Prayer for me as of late, has been so difficult because of an already overactive thought process and Satan doing all he can to distract me, so I do allot of what you do:
"Sometimes, I may not feel like uttering anything out, I just groan and growl lol, the spirit in me will intercede for me " Knowing we can do this brings comfort. Or I go to a park, or the lake...without my phone, no radio on just myself and God. It is very helpful. :)

I've found that my mind is constantly chattering away, so I work to 'rephrase' my thoughts, instead of random chatter, I direct my words to God. He's always with me, always listening, so I've become used to my Father being my constant companion, I can talk with Him about literally anything.

Much love!
