There is only a handful of Christian denominations that have this amount of negativity and judgmental spirit. But only one of those haunts this forum and that is Satan's own church....Calvinists.
And what about Jesus??? THESE ARE HIS WORDS, NOT MINE!

You seek the negative! Read your own posts! I do not want this for you. It is so sad! Run from that church! Wish I could help you, but I think the mental grip they have on you is to strong! When you stand before Christ as the judge of humanity, you will have to explain that to Him. So all of it is between you and Christ. But count me out because I will not let you drag me to the negative. God Bless.

Let's break this down:

Point 1) Advocating for Truth is good thing. Everyone agreed?
Point 2) We are commanded to love our neighbor. Agreed?
Point 3) We can stand for Truth without being a jihadist or jerk. It is very possible to stand for Truth while being kind to one another. Agreed?

Editted to add point 4) A disciple of Christ should never be ruled by fear/hatred, but have Christ & His love/grace be the guiding force in their lives. Agreed?

Jesus help you, Grailhunter! I pray that you will FIND HIM and KNOW HIM! He loves you so much more than the men whose writings you have taken to heart.

I've chosen the better part, and it will not be taken away from me!

How about if we just take the words of Jesus to heart! I do!

All you seem to see is condemnation. God sees that my heart breaks for those who believe the lies of the devil! I have cried many tears for these people whom Jesus loves and gave His life for.

Jesus' love is NOT warm fuzzies. He's not interested in making people feel good in their dungeons. He truly came to set the captives FREE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm not sure how much I'll be able to "talk" on here today. My daughter just called with bad news. A friend of hers just committed suicide, and I am heartbroken over it!

Please, everyone lift up Jacob's friends and family today as they deal with this tragedy!

I will pray. That's so sad. We Christians need to be more in prayer - these times are hard on young people.

I am new to this site and was told about this thread. It is already late so I will have to read more tomorrow. Brakelite informed me of the thread and I'm excited to catch up on all 28 pages. I worked with and close to the Philadelphia Masons for 10 years. I'm not a Mason but a friend recently joined and is trying to get me signed up.

I'm interested but do have a lot of concerns about Freemasonry so I started a blog to help me sort through the clutter. I'm posting as I come across questions about the masons and things I find in the Bible that may go against their teachings. The masons do a lot of wonderful things but that doesn't mean they are exactly Biblical.

If you have a chance, please read my posts. I would be happy to hear your thoughts on what I'm learning as I go about the process. I'm soon to submit an application to join, but it is only the first of many steps to become accepted.

Read the thread before touching that application. There's more to Freemasonry than meets the eye.

Hi, Brian, welcome to CF!

You are wise to look into this before you take a leap. Do your homework. There's plenty of info on the Internet.

One can not be born again and join the Freemasons.
Freemasons are of this world.
I know many a good person who is a Freemason that I do have respect for, and they do good works, one thing that is great about them is that all 100% of charity given goes to the case they are helping, not like most others that only 10c in the dollar goes to help the people who is being given to, as the rest is eaten up in administration ect.

As if works outside of faith in Christ are worth anythingo_O.Those little "good deeds" to balance out all the evil...no such thing. Only full devotion gains access to heaven the rest is simply lukewarmness which gets you spewed out. You probably wouldn't care about a good deed by a Jew but you "know a many a good Freemasons"? There is no such thing as Christian and Freemasonry being able to mix in the kingdom of heaven. People just love to make up stuff and others love it because it tickles their ears. Just like in here, Freemasonry is being presented in increments . This is clearly one of those type forums. The people are all over the place with their beliefs. Take you for instance, you speak a lot vile toward a certain type of "Jew" because you "say" you hate their power:D , yet the same agenda works through Freemasonry. Who are you kidding.

Death Burial and Resurrection in the Masonic Lodge

Thank you! EMFJ.org has some great articles, and I have used them for some of my research. Unfortunately, (as strange as this may sound) I am trying to only use Masonic and Lodge based websites for my information and turn away from sites that are anti-mason. The reason being, my Christian friend who is a new Mason, is quick to say those sites twist and distort what Freemasonry is really about.

The good news is the Masonic sites and pro-mason books show enough of their true colors for someone to understand they are not a Christian organization. Calling upon a generic god, lacking any form of Christ, teaching that masonry is "a way of life" and that all religious text are as important and equal to the Bible, are all statements and teachings that can be found on the PA masons website and many others.

If I understand correctly, Reggie is saying that unlike most other charities that only give a small percentage of their money to "the cause", Freemasons do give 100% of the money to the goal.

I think we can all agree that Hell will be full of "good" people and we can't have access to heaven unless we place our faith in the finished works of Christ.

is a organization my dad was a master mason .i am not a mason although i grew up around them . i know a few things that bother me. they use the Bible the majority of them are about as lost as a goose in a snow storm.. many use it as a religion.. it is not a religion all you have to do is believe on a God . the innation you go through is your blindfolded lead into a room and asked the secrets of the lodge be revealed . you are then pushed backwards and caught .the worshipful master more or less redeems you by pulling you up . i may not have it exactly right but i have talked to masons who dropped out . there are christians in the Lodge my dad was saved but never allowed it to be a religion... to this day i am not a fan of freemasonry
