Before the time of Moses, in the false pagan religion of Baal Worship (sunworship), every December the 25th was celebrated as the rebirth of the falsesun god baal. To celebrate this, the people would hang little round balls onthe trees as symbols of the sun, and they would give gifts to one another. The pagan religion of baal worship spread into different lands, usingdifferent names for the false gods and false goddess. Baal worship got intothe pagan roman religion of ancient rome, and some of the traditions andfeast days of the roman religion got into roman catholicism.Christmas, which is basically named after a mass for Christ is a romancatholic holiday, and the pagan tradition of giving gifts on Dec. 25 andhanging balls on trees got into this holiday. - But, it is a pagan practiceand it really has nothing to do with the birth of Jesus Christ. So, I spent a small amount of time composing a little song about the matter:Oh Christmas TreeOh pagan tree, Oh pagan tree!Keep yourself away from me!O pagan tree, O pagan tree!A false religion, invented thee.O pagan tree, O pagan tree!False Baal worship spawned thee.O pagan tree, O pagan tree! The birth of Christ,Has nothing to do with thee!O pagan tree, O pagan tree!Tiny globes hang like a bell.Symbols of the sun god! That deceived men into hell.O pagan tree, O pagan tree,Indignation you bring to me.I am not a song writer. If anyone one on this forum wants to write abetter song about it, then post it here. You can use this popular abominable song, to copy from:O Christmas tree, O Christmas tree! How are thy leaves so verdant!O Christmas tree, O Christmas tree,How are thy leaves so verdant! Not only in the summertime,But even in winter is thy prime.O Christmas tree, O Christmas tree,How are thy leaves so verdant!O Christmas tree, O Christmas tree,Much pleasure doth thou bring me!O Christmas tree, O Christmas tree,Much pleasure doth thou bring me!For every year the Christmas tree,Brings to us all both joy and glee.O Christmas tree, O Christmas tree,Much pleasure doth thou bring me!O Christmas tree, O Christmas tree,Thy candles shine out brightly!O Christmas tree, O Christmas tree,Thy candles shine out brightly! Each bough doth hold its tiny light,That makes each toy to sparkle bright.O Christmas tree, O Christmas tree,Thy candles shine out brightly! The Christmas tree is extrabiblical. It has pagan roots from baal worship.Baal worship is cited throughout the old testament as a false religion that led to both the downfall of the nations that God destroyed to give their land to Israel and later to the downfall of Israel itself when they worshipped baalim and ashteroth. [im is Hebrew masculine plural; oth is feminine plural. refering to the different names of the false gods, that the sun god baal took on and the different names that the queen of heaven took on in the different forms of baal worship in the different lands.Astarte, Diana, Venus, Ishtar,--ashterothbaal, baal berith, Zues, Chemosh, Milchom, Ra, Jupiter, --baalimDeuteronomy 12:30 Take heed to thyself that thou be not snared by following them, after that they be destroyed from before thee; and that thou enquire not after their gods, saying, How did these nations serve their gods? even so will I do likewise. Deuteronomy 12:31 Thou shalt not do so unto the LORD thy God: for every abomination to the LORD, which he hateth, have they done unto their gods; for even their sons and their daughters they have burnt in the fire to their gods. So, celebrating the birth of Christ, when God became a man, to redeem us, should have nothing to do with a pagan tradition of hanging things on trees and giving gifts, from babylonian baal worship.12:31---thou shalt not do so unto the Lord thy God.---Christmas trees are not serving God in any way in celebrating His birth. It is a pagan tradition that originally started in the pagan baal worship in babylon which is an abominable religion in God's sight, as shown from the Old testament repeatedly. If you think it is sinful then don't do it.If you really don't consider it sinful then to you it is not a sin, if the bible does not call it a sin.If you do consider it sinful, then to you it would be a sin, according to what it says in Paul's epistles about eating meat or things sacrificed to idols. However, I think people that are christians should know the truth of where this originally comes from and decide for themselves if they want to have Christmas trees.I think it is safe to say that it does not please God, although not really a sin if you don't consider it a sin.As for me, I don't want anything to do with baal worship, in any form, and not in the form it is in now, disguised to look like something else.See The Two babylons by Hislop.http://www.biblebelievers.com/babylon/sect31.htmscroll down to where it talks about the influence of babylon on the roman religion. The woman in Revelation 17, has a name mystery babylon...And the woman is called that city that reigneth over the kings of the earth.reigneth is present tense to the time of the writing.Rome is the city that reigned over the kings of the Earth when John wrote that.He is spiritually calling Rome by the name babylon, just like he spiritually called Jerusalem, where our Lord was crucified, Sodom and Egypt.

Ah, it's true that Christ is not born on December, but September. However I believe that Christ was conceived in his mother's womb on this date. December 25th.Sure Christmas tree may have some pagan roots. But as long we celebrate Christ, and not the solitary, (sp?, or is that the right word) I see no problem. I see that celebrating the solitary is a sin though.

You know I told my family the same thing about 10 months ago. I hope they don't go the wrong path. I can tell you I won't be celebrating this pagan holiday anymore.(Jordan;65918)

The thing is Jordon this started well before Christ was conceived.Luke 6:43For a good tree bringeth not forth corrupt fruit; neither doth a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. It started pagan, it started with corrupt fruit. Now its still pagan just under christian names.another wolf in sheeps clothing.

What about all this Christmas tree business? I know it is written in the book of Jeremiah concerning, "they deck a tree and cut it" and they make an idol out of it. You should never make an idol out of anything. But what is an evergreen and what does it symbolize? God uses symbolism throughout His Word. I'm going to go to the book of Hosea and to the 14hth chapter and begin with verse 4. Let's learn something about the evergreen.HOSEA 14:4 I will heal their backsliding, I will love them freely: for mine anger is turned away from him. This is when God calls His children home.HOSEA 14:5 I will be as the dew unto Israel: he shall grow as the lily, and cast forth his roots as Lebanon.Do you know what Lebanon is? The cedar of Lebanon, that evergreen, that great evergreen.HOSEA 14:6 His branches shall spread, and his beauty shall be as the olive tree, and his smell as Lebanon.Again the tree of our people. Why the tree of our people?HOSEA 14:7-8 They that dwell under his shadow shall return; they shall revive as the corn, and grow as the vine: the scent thereof shall be as the wine of Lebanon. 8 Ephraim shall say, What have I to do any more with idols? I have heard him, and observed him: I am like a green fir tree. From me is thy fruit found. What did God say? "I am like a green fir tree..." The Eternal Father, that fir tree. HOSEA 14:9 Who is wise, and he shall understand these things? prudent, and he shall know them? for the ways of the LORD are right, and the just shall walk in them: but the transgressors shall fall therein.Don't be robbed. Our Father is symbolic of that great cedar. Evergreen means eternal life, not losing leaves or die during winter, but eternal like our Father. Don't make an idol of the tree, worship your Father. But don't be robbed of the season.Have a Merry Christmas.

This has nothing to do with christmas. Anyways you can justify it anyway you like. Just remember you are celebrating a pagan holiday with Christian names.
