No you actually did not address the meat of my post. I am more than equipped to address the topic, and have. You haven't addressed my arguments.
Then perhaps you can tell me HOW I didn't.
Because, as far as I can see - I did address your points.

Please elaborate . . .

pssst i told you my perfection is in CHRIST not of ,my self..my sins are forgiven i am the righteousness of Christ JESUS but wait you went from pure to perfect Heb 12:14
STRIVE
for peace with everyone, and for the holiness without which no one will see the Lord. i have holiness i am Holy i been made holy sanctified .. what part of this don't you understand.. oris it you will deny no matter what . see perfect means complete in Christ we area W.I.P figure it out. honestly its been real and fun but not real fun 2 Cor. 7:1
Since we have these promises, beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from every defilement of body and spirit, bringing holiness to completion in the fear of God. we are being cleansed its a commandment ----->
2 Timothy 2:19

“Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, Let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity.” i john 1;9 . see i have a seal of righteousness on me. justified is ONE TIME . SANCTIFICATION is a continuing progress . while the blood makes us pure white as snow .we have to depend on Jesus for help the final step to our sanctification si when we get to heaven . but there is not stopping place to be made pure.. with out the shedding of blood there is no remission of sins.. remission means GONE . we re Crucified with Christ galatians 2:20 i think it is.. next ?
And once again - you fail to grasp that these passages are about the JOURNEY to purity, holiness and sanctification.
The fact that you believe you're already there illustrates your utter failure to understand the Word of God.

PS - your idiotic comment in RED borders on blasphemy.
YOU are the righteousness of Christ??

Don't you mean the other way around??

And I guarantee you NONE of them have ever prayed in Mary's name.
can you really guarantee ?
  • Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be. thy name. ...
  • Hail Mary, Full of Grace, .......
  • Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, ...
  • I believe in God, the Father Almighty, Creator of Heaven and earth; ...
  • I believe in one God, ...
  • Angel of God, ...
  • St. Michael the Archangel, ...
  • My God, I am sorry for my sins with all my heart.
who knows maybe after you die the poop will declare you a saint

Why do you bother posting on this subject when you are so woefully-ignorant?

The Hail Mary is a plea for her to pray for us.
We don't ask the prayer in her name. What YOU posted was the salutation. - and it's 100% BIBLICAL (Luke 1:28).

Consider yourself exposed - yet again . . .

By the way - this is a thread about Purgatory - but in typical, ignorant, anti-Catholic fashion - YOU'VE hijacked it and turned it into yet another idiotic anti-Catholic screed.

Let's get BACK to the subject at hand - IF you are able.
Give us some Biblically-sound refutations of the Scriptural evidence we have presented . . .

Then don't POST foolish things - like claiming YOU are the righteousness of Christ.
I will expose you every time you make one of your asinine claims.

STILL waiting for a Biblically-sound refutation of Purgatory . . .

Get used to it. When they are busy not answering our questions they are equally busy twisting what we do say. The catholic m.o.

Go back and read it and address every point. Like for instance, tears in Heaven. Your focus on the word suffer out of context, etc.
No - it wasn't out of context.
Rev. 21:4 states plainly that the tears and pain that once were will be NO MORE in Heaven.
This connotes a suffering that will no longer take place.

What part of that do you feel was not explained??

Then, perhaps YOU can tell me how I didn't answer his post because @David Taylor doesn't seem to be able to.

I eagerly await your intelligent response . . .

When you refuse to do some work you've already lost. Catholics love to claim victory when they can't even get off the couch. Armchair apologetics is the catholic way. "Don't bother me with having to actually open a bible or a lexicon." Your 21st century dictionaries aren't gonna get you there....i know this bursts your bubble but it is what it is.

You still haven't apologised for LYING about what the Catholic Church teaches.

You just divert to insults.

Still not willing to do any sort of study huh? The one apologizing should be you for considering yourself a 'catholic apologist' on any level.

Again you cannot face up to your lies and that you were wrong.

Bread of Life,

Fundamentalists just need to get into the Word more! I have laid out a detailed biblical case for Purgatory with copious numbered points, knowing that all these points would be ignored by the Fundamentalists in a blaze of pontifications and insults. Their evasive ploys demonstrate that they have nothing substantive to say; so I intend to move on here to the more general topic of the teaching in God's Word about the more general potential for release from Hell. This thread has been so successful that I will now start a new thread entitled "Praying to the Saints in Catholic Biblical Perspective."

Read the first part of the verse.
Here you go - I'll even use your KJV . . .

Rev 21:4
And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, NEITHER SHALL THERE BE ANY MORE PAIN: for the former things are passed away.

This connotes no more SUFFERING - period.
There can be NO suffering in Heaven because there is NO imperfection (Rev 21:27).

Now - back to 2 Cor. 3:10-15 . . .

- This cannot be Heaven because the person will SUFFER ‐ and there is NO suffering in Heaven.
- This cannot be Hell because the person will be SAVED ‐ and there is NO salvation in Hell.
- This is describing a THIRD state – a state of Final Purification.
