Well done. Keep on working with it. Skills increase with practice.

Thanks, but I had to quasi-cheat on the "Star of Donny" one - I don't have the skill yet to add in a matching ripple to Trump's face, if the Israeli flag had one in the center of the Star of David, so I had to pick one with the ripples outside of that. I'll get there, thanks again.

Well, I suppose I should be horsewhipped if I'm appearing to support Trump! But you should love Trump! Isn't his lawyer your uncle or something??

Now I know which candidate you voted for--the smiley face one. :)

Have you seen this?

This was funny, thanks. I felt like I was on drugs watching that though, lol.

For me, it isn't just "hate on Trump". I admit, he has the spotlight, and does say some spectacularly outrageous things, such as he likes that someone likened him to the "King of Israel" or the "second coming of god", etc, in addition to a lot of his decisions. But I don't like the Repulican opposition leaders either, they just don't have the spotlight now - sure I could get into critizing Demo(n)cratic Congressional peeps, but then I could for Repubs too, and there's just too many to talk about.

I mentioned this in a post a couple of pages back - up until Trump began running for office (and earlier actually, when he first started with the birther stuff), I didn't know much about him except what I saw on t.v. and the public persona - he was neither here nor there for me. I watched his t.v. show the Apprentice - it was a fun idea to me. Then he just got way over his head in my opinion, then all of the arrogance and fluff about his ego, then the die-hard support from the "Republican or you're not a Christian" types where he can do no wrong, and it just built up and kept going from there, and still hasn't stopped, then his face on money, town named after him, etc, it's a demagogue thing in the least now, and on it's way to full fledged idolatry. This is where I think it's gone too far.

In essence, it comes down more, for me, about how much trust is being put into human leaders by fellow humans, and this isn't just about Trump here; especially considering looking back on history at human leaders and what they've done ultimately, sure there's been some that have done good, but not many, overall - to me, it takes away from our true leader, who none of these compare to. I know that's just my opinion, so I don't force it on others and say they should think as I do, but I am allowed to talk about it too. Jesus, for Jesus, and nothing but Jesus - Jesus rules!

It's not the criticizing that I was criticizing. :) It's the mocking. It never seems to end...........

I have no human heroes (except Captain America, lol). I don't hesitate to call out evil on either side of the aisle. Republican presidents have done some pretty evil things, esp. in the area of education reform. I'm one of those research nerds who reads 1000+ page education reform bills. Like No Child Left Behind, which was a reauthorization of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act of 1965 (ESEA), originally shoved down America's throat by LBJ.

Bush Jr. added a provision to the his reauthorization of ESEA requiring that individual student data be collected. This data gets really personal and even includes info on students' attitudes and beliefs. Why does the federal government need this kind of data? Hmm?

Essentially, it was Republican governors (through the NGA) who got Common Core in schools across this nation. When the Democrats couldn't accomplish this, Republicans got the dastardly deed done.

I'm all for exposing evil wherever it lurks.... but the mocking grates on me.

It barely just began - it was 5 or 6 posts with memes of dear leader's most idiotic ideas (comparing to God/Jesus), which I'm not sure why you aren't up-in-arms about, as it's getting close to blasphemy (an insult to Jesus in the least). I put in three of them just because it was a "pandora's box" of ideas I had about his "King of Israel" & "second coming of god" retweets.

Do you really think it's ok for any human to say they're even close to Jesus? That they're within the same realm? That's Caesar level territory there. And this is ok with you? I'm not saying for you to mock him as we are, but to defend him against his own "putting himself out there" like that then expecting to not be mocked is a little ridiculous - do you speak out against late night comedians or just a lot of comedians, now-a-days, for Trump? Trump is a goldmine for comedy these days (as were many other leaders in the past), and then to say don't make fun of him, because of whatever reason you have to defend dear leader, isn't realistic.

No one here is mocking his personal looks, nor his family's looks. No one is mocking anything personal, except to have a little fun with his own retweeted statements.

Does all comedy grate on you, or just when it involves people, especially people who put themselves in the spotlight by choice?

Thanks for the heads up. I'll be sure to avoid this thread entirely from here on out!

Good, clean comedy doesn't grate on me. My kids would tell you this. We laugh a lot. We get a good belly laugh making silly videos using some of the SnapChat effects that distort the face and voice in funny ways. I enjoy some of the Bad Lip Reading videos. Most that I've seen involve clean, but clever, humor. These videos poke fun at people, but lack the mocking meanness that I see in this thread.

So, it's mocking, not humor, that grates on me. This would be true even if you were mocking someone I don't like. Perhaps less true, but true nonetheless. I'm sure you've read what God has to say about mocking and mockers. This behavior stems from the flesh, not the Spirit, and is something that His Spirit has been convicting me of lately. I have found that it's all too easy to mock others, but I believe that mocking is a form of judging others.

We're going to have to agree to disagree here I think. You think we're mean for mocking a narcissist who likens himself to Jesus - likening oneself to Jesus is mean to me, but I guess he gets a pass from you on that...

Uh, I think that mocking is wrong, period. I made this pretty clear. But based on what the Bible says, I should probably steer clear of attempting to correct mockers.... Just saying.

Yehren, I thought of another one but it's going to take some time for me to accomplish it in GIMP: the baby Trump in the manger, and his first word is "magi", then he repeats it again "magi", then Mary and Joseph love that he said his first word, then baby Trump says "maga", "maga", "maga", with a caption that says "And maga began 2000 years ago". This isn't a diamond, but eh, gets a little smile from me.

Are you serious here? The Bible says mocking against God and Jesus is wrong, not some person who thinks they're likened to God. You're unbelievable right now - mocking against Trump is the same as mocking against God? Are you really saying this?

I don't see that distinction in all verses pertaining to mocking. Of course, I agree that it's wrong to mock God and anything that is from Him or of Him, but I believe that mocking in general is wrong.

Here are a few scriptures that I believe show that mocking is wrong in general:

Proverbs 17:5 (ESV)--Whoever mocks the poor insults his Maker; he who is glad at calamity will not go unpunished.

Acts 2:13 (ESV)--But others mocking said, “They are filled with new wine.”

Proverbs 3:34 (ESV)-- Toward the scorners he is scornful, but to the humble he gives favor.

Proverbs 1:22 (ESV)-- “How long, O simple ones, will you love being simple? How long will scoffers delight in their scoffing and fools hate knowledge?

What? Of course it's applied to God and Jesus.

Ok, neat, you have no problem with a person making a mockery of God and Jesus by approving that they are likened to them, but don't mock that mocker of God...there's a word for this, maybe even a few...

Here are a few scriptures that I believe show that mocking is wrong in general:

Proverbs 17:5 (ESV)--Whoever mocks the poor insults his Maker; he who is glad at calamity will not go unpunished.

No one is mocking the poor here; fails to apply that mocking in general is wrong since it is specific.

Acts 2:13 (ESV)--But others mocking said, “They are filled with new wine.”

Acts 2:4 "And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost," in verse 13 they were mocking those with the Holy Spirit.

Proverbs 3:34 (ESV)-- Toward the scorners he is scornful, but to the humble he gives favor.

Talking about scorning the scournful of the Lord in the previous verse

Proverbs 1:22 (ESV)-- “How long, O simple ones, will you love being simple? How long will scoffers delight in their scoffing and fools hate knowledge?

God is calling scoffers towards Him fools.

And yet you don't think that someone such as Trump approving of being likened to the "King of Israel" and the "second coming of god" isn't a mockery to God Himself? You know who else makes a mockery of God-the-Father and God-the-Son by likening himself to them?

I will mock the mocker who makes a mockery of God-the-Father and God-the-Son.

All I can say is that I make a distinction between exposing evil and mocking. By all means, expose the evil things that our president is doing or saying, but I don't believe that mocking him in this fashion is a good thing. It appears to me to be coming from the flesh and not the Spirit.

And not a single word, again, about someone (Trump) making a mockery of God-the-Father and God-the-Son...

Is this what you expect of me? Would this satisfy you??

I hear about the things he's doing just about every single day! God has shown me some things about him that I will not say here because this isn't the place.... But try to see this from my perspective. Your comments in this thread could be informing people rather than making a mockery. I tend NOT to read threads like this. I generally avoid them altogether; however, I usually read (or at least scan) comments that inform without sophomoric mocking.

So, I guess all of this hinges on what you hope to accomplish by mocking Trump. Are you desiring to inform people about the evil things he's doing and saying, or are you just having fun? I guess you'll say both, so what else is there to say?

Edit: BTW, I think I mentioned that the Holy Spirit has been convicting me about mocking people. If I didn't, please forgive me. I'm not just pointing a finger at you because I have three more pointing back at myself.

It comes from both sides. I just saw someone taking a picture of Trump and doing terrible things to it in some news headlines -- I didn't click on the story since I didn't want to see or read more. There seems so much hate on both sides.
