The Holy Spirit convicts people of judgment among other things.

If you are saying that there is a vast difference between conviction and condemnation...then I can say amen.

That video did nothing but condemn ...it did not show any of the Fathers heart toward the people :(

I was saying that what some people believe is condemnation from the devil...is actually conviction...of judgment...from the Holy Spirit.

And you don't have to say amen to this for it to be the truth.

Luk 14:23, And the lord said unto the servant, Go out into the highways and hedges, and compel them to come in, that my house may be filled
Strong's Greek: 315. ἀναγκάζω (anagkazó) -- to necessitate, compel

so, as with many action words in Scripture, it is you that is being defined, more than the actual words, i think? To me it is the diff in Preach and Proclaim all over again, even though the words "convince" were not used here, the link does illustrate how one might be "compelled" merely by conversation imo--(Paul) "i was forced to appeal to Caesar," "in glorying you have compelled me" etc, although the sense of "at the point of a bullhorn" is also in there too, yes

boy, i'm waiting here for the perfect phrase that might sway you, but i guess my hearing is not so good right now maybe? Thought i was done with this "meat" thing, but apparently not.

regardless of what some believe, you dont think there is an essential difference in the two? Of course everyone is diff, but wouldnt you be more compelled if i say just picked up the cup you had just tossed on the ground and threw it away myself rather than compelling you to do so? Berating or whatever?

And you don't have to say amen to this for it to be the truth.
yet why am i the less compelled by the addition of this assumptive statement? She doesnt have to say amen for that to be a lie either, right? Not declaring for either side there, understand

its like "it's my way or the highway" there, seems like

1 Corinthians 8:13 Lexicon: Therefore, if food causes my brother to stumble, I will never eat meat again, so that I will not cause my brother to stumble.

Exodus 16 HCSB
pardon the unfort "quarts" ref
note "at twilight you will eat meat, and in the morning you will eat bread until you are full"

Condemnation is a weapon of the devil..not God.
The Holy Spirit convicts people of judgment among other things.
so then what is the diff in conviction and condemnation i guess. This is a subtle thing apparently, as truth spoken by a little kid who has not learned diplomacy or tact ir perceived diff than the same statement made by an adult, huh

Neither is beating them over the head. Shepherds lead, they don't drive.
They also check for hurts and or wounds ...and weep for the life ...IF they are true shepherds.
Condemnation is a weapon of the devil..not God.
But ...your religious mind is already made up. It probably 'helps' you feel more righteous.

Works of the flesh , are still flesh and dead works.

You're not listening to Jesus. We are commanded to go out and preach the Word upon the housetops.

Matthew 10
[11] And into whatsoever city or town ye shall enter, inquire who in it is worthy; and there abide till ye go thence.
[12] And when ye come into an house, salute it.
[13] And if the house be worthy, let your peace come upon it: but if it be not worthy, let your peace return to you.
[14] And whosoever shall not receive you, nor hear your words, when ye depart out of that house or city, shake off the dust of your feet.
[15] Verily I say unto you, It shall be more tolerable for the land of Sodom and Gomorrha in the day of judgment, than for that city.
[16] Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves: be ye therefore wise as serpents, and harmless as doves.
[17] But beware of men: for they will deliver you up to the councils, and they will scourge you in their synagogues;
[18] And ye shall be brought before governors and kings for my sake, for a testimony against them and the Gentiles.

You and Bullhorn Boy are really sick!! This is totally disgusting!!

Does this offend you? Being reviled for Jesus' name sake is par for the course.

Matthew 5
[10] Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness' sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
[11] Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake.
[12] Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you.
[13] Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men.
[14] Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.

Most people in the western world are fully aware of God's love, as that's all most preachers and teachers talk about. What is missing is the other half of the Gospel, the severity of God. Repent or perish. Sadly, counterfeit christianity has fooled many. It's no wonder that roughly 70% of professing Christians watch pornography; the pulpits are full of dead men preaching a dead gospel to dead congregants. God will severely judge this harlot.

God doesn't have to shout!!
I think the verses that you want are from -
1 Kings 19.
"Lord came to him, and he said unto him, What doest thou here, Elijah?
And he said, I have been very jealous for the Lord God of hosts: for the children of Israel have forsaken thy covenant, thrown down thine altars, and slain thy prophets with the sword; and I, even I only, am left; and they seek my life, to take it away.
And he said, Go forth, and stand upon the mount before the Lord. And, behold, the Lord passed by, and a great and strong wind rent the mountains, and brake in pieces the rocks before the Lord; but the Lord was not in the wind: and after the wind an earthquake; but the Lord was not in the earthquake:
And after the earthquake a fire; but the Lord was not in the fire: and after the fire a still small voice.
"

The Lord also tells him that no, he is NOT the only one 'doing anything' ...the Lord said.." I have yet 7000 who have not bowed the knee to Baal. "

1 Kings 19:18
"Yet I have reserved seven thousand in Israel, all whose knees have not bowed to Baal, and every mouth that has not kissed him.

Many are under the elusion that they, and only they are 'doing anything' for the kingdom and the rest of us are losers. God will always have his hidden people who don't make any loud song and dance saying ..."Look at me, see how spiritual I am being...how come no one else is doing what I am doing?"
:D :D
Proud arrogant religious flesh. ..I believe Elijah got God's message that day. :)

Your speech betrays you, and your fruit is corrupt. You obviously don't know Jesus, because Jesus would not use vulgar words as you do. Counterfeit Christianity is so prevalent nowadays, and you have apparently bought into it.

It's obvious you did not read MY POST.
I was referring to a time BEFORE I became born again.
Please reread, take a deep breath and try to understand what people write here.

Reviling him in response to what he just said is only substantiating his statements.

I read what you said, and it's bad fruit. Accept the admonition or not, but God's way is a holy way.

You're sadly mistaken if think walking in God's holiness and righteousness is legalism. Many professing Christians will be shocked on that day when Jesus says "I don't know you, depart from me you workers of iniquity".

Helen, there's no use discussing with this fellow.
I think we'll let God decide who is a Christian or not a Christian.
I am out of this thread.

....back to the photo thread....

Agree Gary..time this guy went on my ignore list..he doesn't have a clue about real live Kingdom Christianity.

I'm certain that he will take it as persecution for righteousness' sake...

Or, as people turning away from the preachers of the truth in order to heap for themselves teachers to tell them what their itching ears want to hear...

God knows what the reality is concerning this.
