Some may have a difficult time grasping this, especially if one is centered too much in fleshy things. But it's a warning I feel by The Holy Spirit that needs to be retold from Scripture as is, and not dressed up in fleshy thinking.

1. The Devil is a heavenly Cherub:

In Ezekiel 28 and Isaiah 14, God uses flesh kings to give a parable about Satan, and how he originally was perfect in his ways, serving our Heavenly Father, before he rebelled in coveting God's throne.

That was in the old world, prior to Adam and Eve. By the time of Adam and Eve in God's Garden of Eden, Satan is already is in his role as adversary, so we know his rebellion of old had already taken place, and now he was tempting Adam and Eve who were to be the start of the family Christ would be born through. Satan of course tried to stop Christ's birth several times by attacking the Seed of the Woman (Eve).

In Ezekiel 28:14 we are shown that Satan is the "anointed cherub that covereth". A cherub is a heavenly created being, not a flesh being. Ezekiel 28:13 says this one was in God's Garden of Eden. We well know the flesh king or prince of Tyrus never was in God's Garden of Eden, but Satan was, as that old serpent (Revelation 12:9).

The idea of a cherubim that covereth is related to Exodus 25 where God told the children of Israel to build the Ark of the Covenant with the covering cherubim on it spreading their wings over the Mercy Seat. This represented the pattern in Heaven regarding our Heavenly Father's throne. This reveals it was Satan's original job to guard God's throne, until he rebelled in coveting God's throne for himself.

This idea of Satan coveting God's throne is very important to remember. It is what Satan most wants, that along with our worship of him as if he were GOD. He so wants to be The GOD. And he wants us to serve him in place of GOD. That is how he drew one third of the angels ("stars" in Revelation 12:3-4) to earth with him when he rebelled originally in that time of old.

Did you know Satan created an earthly kingdom in that time of old when he first rebelled against God? This is shown in the Rev.12 Chapter...

Rev 12:3-4
3 And there appeared another wonder in heaven; and behold a great red dragon, having seven heads and ten horns, and seven crowns upon his heads.

4 And his tail drew the third part of the stars of heaven, and did cast them to the earth: and the dragon stood before the woman which was ready to be delivered, for to devour her child as soon as it was born.
KJV

That part in red is about the time of old when Satan first rebelled against God, prior to Adam and Eve. He then had a kingdom of ten horns, seven heads, but only seven crowns. Note that old kingdom is linked with the event of his tail drawing a third part of the stars (angels) to earth with him. In Luke 10:18 our Lord Jesus said He saw Satan fall as lightning from heaven. That was pointing to this time of old when Satan first rebelled.

In the Revelation 13:1-2 Scripture, the number of crowns is ten, instead of seven. The reference to a beast kingdom in Revelation 12:3-4 when Satan first rebelled is linked to the type... of beast kingdom in Rev.13. The difference is the one in Rev.13 is for our days, at the end of this present world.

2. Satan is coming, again to setup himself up in place of GOD, like he did in the time of old, with another beast kingdom on earth.

In Rev.13 we are told of a beast that comes out of the sea having ten horns, seven heads, and ten crowns. In Revelation 13:2 our Lord reveals links to the beast kingdom types of Daniel 7. We can't forget the link with the seven crown beast kingdom of Rev.12 that Satan used of old though.

Men's traditions are ever playing with the beast idea in Rev.13, assigning all kinds of ideas to it when often it's Satan playing with their minds to confuse the Scripture to them. Two different beasts are mentioned there, the first one is a kingdom, because it has ten horns, seven heads, and ten crowns. The second beast mentioned starting in Revelation 13:11 is about "another beast", a 2nd one, but a person instead. Who is it? The Pope? An Arab king? The U.S. President? A ruler from the EU? All of those ideas have been offered. But the reality of his identity is simple when heeding the actual Scripture.

Rev 13:11-14
11 And I beheld another beast coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns like a lamb, and he spake as a dragon.

This 2nd beast comes up out of the earth. If you've already done study in all of the Book of Revelation, you should recall Rev.11:7 says a beast ascends out of the bottomless pit to kill God's two witnesses in Jerusalem for the end. That was 2 Chapters back, so we should recall that. Then back in Chapter 9 we were told there is a king which is an angel over the bottomless pit and his name in the Greek is Apollyon (perdition) and in Hebrew is Abaddon (destroyer). And when you get to Rev.17, we are told about the beast that was, and is not, and yet is, ascending out of the bottomless pit, involving the idea of a beast king.

So how many clues does one need to realize all that is pointing directly to Satan himself. Why does he here have two horns 'like' a lamb but speak as a dragon? Back in Revelation 12:9 we were shown some of Satan's titles. One of his titles is the "dragon".

Our Lord Jesus is The Lamb slain; He came to die on the cross for us, meek as a lamb. Yet Satan here is shown playing the role of a meek lamb. What's that about? Do you recall how Satan coveted God's throne originally? Satan wants to be The Christ, and usurp His throne.

This is not showing us some flesh born man is going to try and do this. It is showing us that Satan himself, de facto, IN PERSON, is going to try to do this, again, i.e., usurp God's throne and try to rule over God's people.

12 And he exerciseth all the power of the first beast before him, and causeth the earth and them which dwell therein to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed.

The 1st beast of course is a kingdom beast. One of its seven heads is to suffer a deadly wound. But that wound is shown having been healed here when this "another beast" shows up.

13 And he doeth great wonders, so that he maketh fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men,
14 And deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by the means of those miracles which he had power to do in the sight of the beast; saying to them that dwell on the earth, that they should make an image to the beast, which had the wound by a sword, and did live.
KJV

We were warned about a false one before by our Lord Jesus that that false one would come doing those great signs and wonders on earth, as He warned us to not believe on that false one when the deceived proclaim him as Christ (Matthew 24:23-26; KJV "false Christs" = a pseudo Messiah). Apostle Paul also warned of that false one coming prior to our Lord Jesus' coming to gather His Church, and how that false one would set himself up as God in a stone temple in Jerusalem, doing those signs and wonders on earth to deceive.

This isn't about some flesh man doing those miracles on earth by being possessed by Satan. It will be Satan himself doing those things here on earth in the sight of men.

Rev 12:7-12
7 And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels,
8 And prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven.

That phrase in red is especially important. This war in heaven happens at the end of this world we will find out later here. When it happens, notice there is no more place found for Satan in heaven. Right now, he is allowed to move freely between heaven and earth (1 Peter 5:8). There are only 2 different dimensions of existence written of in God's Word, this earthly where we live, and the heavenly where God and the angels live, behind a veil we cannot see. The heavenly is also where Satan dwells in a place of separation called Hades. At this war, Satan is kicked out of the heavenly. That leaves only one other place he can go. Where do you think that is? HERE, on earth in OUR dimension.

This means Satan is coming HERE, on earth, in person. Recall that angels can... appear, work and live on earth (Gen.19). They don't need a flesh body. We learn this especially with the mating of the fallen angels with flesh woman in Genesis 6 that produced the giant hybrids which God did not create.

9 And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.

Not only is Satan in person coming, but his angels are coming with him!

10 And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, 'Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night.'

Did you know Satan stands as our accuser against us before God's throne in heaven? In this world he is allowed to approach God's throne as he did in the Book of Job. But at this point, when he is cast out of heaven to our earth, he will no longer be allowed in heaven to accuse us. In heaven at that point when this war happens and Satan and his angels are cast out, Christ's Salvation will come there in the heavenly. This reveals this casting out is not of old, but for the future in our time.

11 And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.

That is about those saints on the 5th Seal that ask how long, and are told their brethren must be beheaded as they were, overcoming in Christ. That again reveals what timing this casting out is, i.e, for the end of this world. These on the 5th Seal timing is about the time of great tribulation. This reveals Satan's casting out here is tribulation timing.

12 Therefore rejoice, ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time.
KJV

That "short time" is the shortened time of great tribulation Jesus proclaimed in Matthew 24.

Rev 13:4-9
4 And they worshipped the dragon which gave power unto the beast: and they worshipped the beast, saying, Who is like unto the beast? who is able to make war with him?

5 And there was given unto him a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies; and power was given unto him to continue forty and two months.
6 And he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme his name, and his tabernacle, and them that dwell in heaven.
7 And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them: and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations.

8 And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.
9 If any man have an ear, let him hear.
KJV

Do you have ears to hear, meaning spiritual ears? Can you understand this is about Satan in person coming to this earth in OUR dimension, and that we will see him in the form of a man? Our Heavenly Father said that he made him "perfect in beauty" (Ezekiel 28:12-14). So he's not going to have a goatee, horns, a pitchfork and red flannel underwear. He is a beautiful looking cherub.

The man will be the Man of Sin, the Son of Perdition, the Beast, the Antichrist. He may be possessed by Satan, but he will be a human being nonetheless. Therefore you are creating an imaginary Satan.

Indeed, the Unholy Trinity proves that you are TOTALLY INCORRECT.
And [1] the devil [SATAN] that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where [2] the beast [THE ANTICHRIST] and [3] the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever. (Rev 20:10)

It will be Satan himself. The idea of perdition is about going into the future lake of fire. As of today, NO flesh born man has been judged and sentenced into the future lake of fire. Only Satan and his angels have. In Rev.9, the angel over the bottomless pit, a king, is named Apollyon which is where the idea perdition comes from in the Greek. In both Rev.11 and Rev.17 we are shown the beast king ascending from the bottomless pit. That's not about Judas, nor some future flesh born man possessed by Satan. It's about Satan himself ascending from the bottomless pit, his home, being kicked out of the heavenly dimension into our dimension on earth.

Now you are simply manufacturing your own theology in opposition to Scripture. It would be a waste of time to go any further with this.

Just as Judas Iscariot is called the Son of Perdition, so is the Antichrist (a man, not a spirit being). But if you enjoy creating fantasies, have fun. I'm out.

Not a possession ,but SATAN himself period.

Question, do you think it was a man possessed by satan that tempted Christ?

Totally different .

Perdition means one who perishes ,only satan by name has thus been condemned to death..

satan and his angels will get kicked out of heaven, you think they get kicked out to come and possess . satan and his angels are supernatural and they will display that.

Anti christ is not a man but satan himself, let's read about him in Ezekiel

Isaiah 14:16-18 King James Version (KJV)
16 They that see thee shall narrowly look upon thee, and consider thee, saying, Is this the man that made the earth to tremble, that did shake kingdoms;

17 That made the world as a wilderness, and destroyed the cities thereof; that opened not the house of his prisoners?

18 All the kings of the nations, even all of them, lie in glory, every one in his own house.

Who is the man in v 16 ,?

Revelation 12:7 "And there was war in heaven: Mi'-cha-el and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels,,"

Revelation 12:8 "And prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven."

This is the time of the sounding of the fifth trumpet, when Satan and his fallen angels are released upon the earth for the final five months period, spoken of in Revelation 9:5, 10. Satan will spend five months here on earth deceiving all mankind, then go to the pit for the thousand years. After that thousand years, Satan [not his fallen angels] will be released for a short period, then go to perdition [perish]. Once Satan is kicked out of heaven, he will not be allowed to return. Today Satan is in heaven accusing the saints before the Lord.

This is prophesy that will come in the very near future.

Revelation 12:9 "And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Sa'-tan, which deceived the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him."

Are these mere humans??????

II Thessalonians 2:1 "Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him,"

Paul is now getting to the purpose for this second letter. Paul reminded them of his first letter to them, of Christ returning and our gathering back to Him. Because of the misunderstanding that could be drawn from the first letter, he writes the following.

It's important in this final generation that we pay attention for this will happen during our life time. The subject again of this letter is; "our gathering back to Christ".

II Thessalonians 2:2 "That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is [the Lord is just] at hand."

Paul doesn't want you to misunderstand what he is about to say. This is why he makes it plain and simple; Paul told them not to confuse what he is saying here with any other teaching, or spirit, or even that first letter from him. This is because there was a confusing part in the first letter where false teachers had crept in and twisted Paul's words. The prime example of this today is the twisting of that first letter by the "rapture theorist", to form the trap that has been set for Christians in this final generation.

Paul is saying, don't let anyone trouble you [confuse you], and tell you that the "day of Christ" is at hand. The "day of Christ [the Lord]" is the day when Jesus Christ will return to earth, and gather His saints to Him. This gathering will happen at the sounding of the seventh trumpet. This is one of those tradition's of men [false doctrines] that can deceive you.

II Thessalonians 2:3 "Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come [it will not be], except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;"

Jesus Christ is not gathering anyone to Him, nor is He coming here to earth, except there be a falling away first. The word for "falling away", in the Greek is "apostasy". Jesus told us in His revelation to John, in Revelation 9:11, that "Apollyon" is one of Satan's names, and this name is derived from the word apostasy.

The word "perdition" means "one that perishes". Satan and only Satan has already been condemned to die [to perish] by God. Satan's judgment day has come already back in the first earth age, and he will have no part in the Great White Throne judgment, or any other judgment yet to come. He has already been judged, and sentence by God to death "perdition" [Ezekiel 28 covers this judgment].

What did Paul say again?

Jesus Christ is coming back to this earth, but the saints of Christ will not be gathered to Him until the "son of perdition" [Satan] be revealed first. How will we know who he is when he arrives?

Revelation 17:8 "The beast that thou sawest was, and is not; and shall ascend out of the bottomless pit, and go into perdition: and they that dwell on the earth shall wonder, whose names were not written in the book of life from the foundation of the world, when they behold the beast that was, and is not, and yet is [shall come]."

This beast "thou [John] sawest", was in the first earth age; and is not on this earth now, as it is written in Revelation 12:7. Satan is in heaven being our accuser, and will be cast out to this earth very shortly by Michael.

"And shall ascend out of the bottomless pit; and go into perdition;" Who is he again? He is Satan the Antichrist. Satan is not a man born of woman, but a "supernatural arch angel". In Ezekiel 28 it is written that Satan [Lucifer] is the most beautiful of all God's created beings.

In Isaiah 14:12; "How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lu'-ci-fer [day star], son of the morning! How art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!" Lucifer then is another name for Satan; he is also called the Dragon, the serpent, and many other names accounting for the roles he plays, and in our generation he will also be called the "Antichrist".

Isaiah 14:13; "For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north:"

Satan is saying, I'm going to be God, and be above the sons [stars] of God. The "mount of the congregation" is on mount Zion; and that is "the side of the north" where Jesus Christ's temple will be.

Isaiah 14:14; "I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High." Satan is saying again, he is going to be God.

Isaiah 14:15; "Yet thou shalt be brought down to hell [sheol], to the sides of the pit."

Who is this that is going into the pit? Who is this son of perdition? It is Lucifer, who is Satan, the "son of perdition". The "son of perdition" of II Thessalonians 2:3 is none other than Satan himself, coming to earth to play the role of Jesus Christ. Paul then is saying that the true Christ, Jesus Christ, will not return to earth until this "apostasy" takes place first.

Isaiah 14:16; "They that see thee shall narrowly look upon thee, and consider thee, saying, is this the man that made the earth to tremble, that did shake kingdoms;"

Following Jesus Christ's return to earth, and when the Antichrist [Satan] is safely in the pit; the world will wonder; how could Satan have shook all the kingdoms? They simply can't believe that they were deceived into believing this man to be God. Are you going to be one of those deceived into believing Satan is the Christ, or do you know the difference?

Paul is saying to the Thessalonians that Jesus Christ will not come, or will their be a gathering of the saints until you see the Antichrist [son of perdition] first. It takes a lot of guts to take the word of a false preacher, over Paul, Jesus, John, Isaiah, and a whole host of other prophets and disciples. This "apostasy" [falling away] is caused by the "son of perdition", and you will see him live and in person, very shortly.

II Thessalonians 2:4 "Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God."

The "Son of perdition" is Satan and Isaiah just told us this very same thing. Remember, the temple of God is on mount Zion, and "on the side of the North". This person sitting there is sitting in God's seat, pretending to be God: "Showing himself that he is God."

Do you know what Jesus said about this very thing. Jesus called it in Matthew 24:15, the very same thing that Daniel called it in Daniel 9:27; "the Abomination of desolation". A more correct translation in the "James Moffatt translation Bible" is called "The abomination by the desolator".

"Satan claiming to be God" is the abomination, and "he" [Satan] is the desolator, for the entire world will believe him; except for God's elect, and all those who have the seal of God in their minds [foreheads]. The sealed of God have their gospel armor on, and they are ready to face Satan and his system in the spiritual warfare.

The majority won't get this....Some for their own good are not meant to know, those are the ones who want to escape ,instead of taking a stand as stated in the below

Ephesians 6:11 "Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil."

Luke 11:22; "But when a stronger than he shall come upon him, and overcome him, he taketh from him all his armour wherein he trusted, and divideth his spoils." Jesus is telling us that before we put on our armor to go into battle against the enemy [Satan], we are to scout out the enemy to see the strength of his [Satan's] forces. How many troupes he has, what he is armed with, and what he intends to use against us.

Then we can come back and take an inventory of our strength, to see how well we will be able to stand against him. When there are overwhelming odds against us, we are to send an ambassador to talk peace; for this pulling of a delay will buy time for us.

We are in the end times and in a fierce spiritual battle. Have you scouted the enemy? Do you know who the enemy is, and who his forces are made up from? It is Satan, his evil spirits, and his offspring on the earth, the "Kenites". God is giving these evil forces authority to exercise, and bring about the fulfillment of His plan for these latter days.

Shortly, Michael will cast Satan out of heaven [Revelation 12:7], and he will be on the earth in person ruling as the Antichrist. When the spirit of Antichrist rules, God will also give His elect the Spirit and power of the Holy Spirit; which will have power to subdue all evil spirits. In Luke 10:18, Jesus said; "We have the power over all our enemies", and Satan is our enemy.

Now is the time that we had better be preparing ourselves; to know what is going to transpire, and what we must have to use against Satan, and all his forces. We must know him and all his names; the Antichrist, the serpent, the king of Tyre, the devil, and all of his other names, which will alert us to his actions.

The "wiles of the devil" refers to the lies, tricks, and deceitfulness he and his offspring [the Kenites] may use to bring down Christians. The "whole armour" is all the protection necessary to stand against those lies and deception. Your entire body has to be protected against Satan, or he will out wit you, and you will not stand.

The point is, that you put on the "whole armour", all of it, to stand against Satan, the Antichrist.

Ephesians 6:12 "For we wrestle not against flesh ad blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places."

This battle we are going to fight against is not "flesh and blood", it is not people you see and hear, but it is against hidden and deceitful spiritual powers. Satan is the prince of darkness, and spiritually he controls the minds and actions of not only rulers of this earth, but all evil spirits in the heavenlies. These are the angelic beings in a fallen state.

Are you prepared mentally to do battle with Them? This battle is not with guns and swords, but with words and doctrines; with concepts and ideas, and these are the "fiery darts" that Satan will conduct his warfare against you with.

Daniel 8:23 will give us a view of what this ruler of darkness is like. "And in the latter time of their kingdom, when the transgressors are come to the full, a king of fierce countenance, and understanding dark sentences, shall stand up."

This king in the "latter time" is Satan, the Antichrist; he is the "king of fierce countenance, and understanding dark sentences". In the Hebrew text it means that Satan is "skilled in dissimulation" of the truth of God's word. Satan knows all of God's word, and as such, he is the father of lies and deception. He will twist and turn the truth a little here and a little there, to make it an outright lie. Satan is the Antichrist on earth, and we must never forget it.

Daniel 8:24 "And his power shall be mighty, but not by his own power; and he shall destroy wonderfully, and shall prosper, and practice, and shall destroy the mighty and the holy People."

He will take away so much of Christianity, and cause so much deception through false doctrines [such as the rapture doctrine] that all those without their full [whole] armor on, will be deceived. He comes "in" [to this earth] with the promise of peace and prosperity; with false hopes and a promise to fulfill your every wish, if you will but follow him.

Daniel 8:25 "And through his policy also he shall cause craft to prosper in his hand; and he shall magnify himself in his heart, and by peace shall destroy many: he shall also stand up against the Prince of princes; but he shall be broken without hand."

Satan's "policy" is the way he fights, which is his method of operation. The "craft to prosper in his hand", refers to his ability that God will give him to do many miracles and wonders. Revelation 13 tells us how he will use this deceit to trick the whole world, except for God's elect, those with the seal of God {knowledge} in their minds.

"He shall magnify himself in his heart", is covered in II Thessalonians 2:4; "Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the Temple of God, shewing [calling] himself that he is God." This is the "Abomination of desolation [by the desolator]" spoken of in Daniel 9:27, and by Jesus in Matthew 24:15.

"By peace" is Satan's secret weapon, for peace is the most powerful weapon used against God's people in this final generation. It is dismantling the mind of the Christian church and disarming our nation today. In the end Satan will be "broken without hand", because it will be by the tow edged sword which comes from the mouth of Jesus Christ. The same sword that spoke and worlds were formed, and the stars were put in their places. However, we must not underestimate Satan's power to deceive, and his miracles, and cries for peace, peace, peace.

Was it a man possessed in the Garden ,or do you all really believe it was a snake, that deceived Eve,and they actually ate a piece of fruit that condemned all of mankind

The Devil is Coming, In Person!
So what. Does it really make a difference to how you currently live?
Will it make a difference to how you will live?

Image for me, you're serving in the army in WW2 and you are on the Queen Mary troop ship sailing to the UK and a solder tells you the Germany navy is out to sink the Queen Mary!
What action can you take?
It is the same for us with your post, we cannot stop the devil, all we can do is to serve trusting in God.
We can try to prepare ourselves for opposition etc, the best way to do that is to be active in gosipping the gospel, experiencing the riddicule etc of our neighbours and work collegues.

Not a possession ,but SATAN himself period.

Question, do you think it was a man possessed by satan that tempted Christ?

The point here being...it was a man which Satan entered into...

>>So it will also 'be a man'...not satan 'himself'. ( by himself) he will always need a man ..while the earth remains...

I'm out.

No, really, I'm not making this up. It is written. The majority simply choose to ignore it, or apply it to something else:

Rev 12:7-12
7 And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels,
8 And prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven.

There's only 2 different dimensions of existence written of in God's Word, this earthly one we live in, and the heavenly one where God and His angels are, and where Satan and his angels are in a place of separation in that heavenly. At this war in Heaven, which is still in our near future, Satan and his angels will literally be cast out of the heavenly dimension. They are coming here, in our dimension. That is what that "neither was their place found any more in heaven" means.

9 And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.
10 And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of His Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night.

11 And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.

Because peace comes in the heavenly when that casting out happens, and it is associated with "the power of His Christ", and then we're told about the overcomers who overcome by "the blood of the Lamb", which is a pointer to the 5th Seal, the timing for that is unmistakable. It wasn't in the past.

It's for our near future when Satan and his angels are cast down to this earth in our dimension. This is what will begin the actual time of great tribulation upon Christ's elect here on earth.

12 Therefore rejoice, ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time.

KJV

This event is not metaphorical. It is literal. It will occur as written there.

People today have gotten so used to their cellphones and technology that they no longer understand about the spiritual realm and how angels can manifest with the image of man upon this earth, in OUR dimension. So I can understand how many brethren have such a hard time understanding this event.

Heb 13:2
2 Be not forgetful to entertain strangers: for thereby some have entertained angels unawares.
KJV

Well yes, it will make a difference how we currently live, and by that I mean by which Church you're in and whether or not they are teaching all of God's Word, or just a bunch of feel-good doctrines of men.

The time of "great tribulation" our Lord Jesus forewarned us about in Matthew 24 was so we could spiritually prepare to not be deceived by this coming pseudo-Christ (KJV "false Christs" is actually singular tense in the Matt.24:23-26 verses).

Apostle Paul gave us the same kind of warning in 2 Thessalonians 2 about that coming false one who is to work lying wonders and signs on the earth to deceive with. Our Lord Jesus showed us again through His servant John in the Revelation 13:11-17 verses about that false one working signs and wonders on earth, raining fire down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men.

That brings up a point only some of you will understand about that Revelation 13:13 idea "in the sight of men"...

Rev 13:13
13 And he doeth great wonders, so that he maketh fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men,

KJV

Isn't it easy enough to understand that about his making fire come down from heaven to the earth? Why did our Lord Jesus include that "in the sight of men" idea with that? Think about it.

It's to make sure we understand that working is not a normal working by any flesh-born man, and to know that this event is going to literally... happen on this earth in plain sight. It means a literal fire like in 1 Kings 18, not military helicopters. Those alive on earth for the tribulation are going to see it.

And consider this, as some might be silly and think, "Well Elijah called down fire from God in Heaven down to the earth per 1 Kings 18, so what's the big deal with this one doing it? It is a big deal, because this one doing it in Revelation 13:11-14 is not... one of God's servants. And Elijah didn't bring fire down to the earth, he prayed for God to do it. Are you still thinking for yourself on this?

Then if this isn't going to be God or one of His servants bringing that fire down from heaven to the earth, in the sight of men on earth, then who would have power to do that? Elijah returned? No, this one is an enemy of Christ. So who among Satan's host would have power to do this? A Pope? Has a Pope ever done that before? No. And there aren't anymore Elijah's in our world today. And even with God's two witnesses of Rev.11, they aren't Christ's enemies either, so can't assign this wonder to them.

It will be the coming Antichrist doing it. Afterall, he is coming to play Christ, and will use those great signs, wonders, and miracles to deceive the world with...

Rev 13:14
14 And deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by the means of those miracles which he had power to do in the sight of the beast; saying to them that dwell on the earth, that they should make an image to the beast, which had the wound by a sword, and did live.
