You must be very lonely.
LOL.... a non answer by you and a snarky comment...Just what I expected.

How about this kiddo...defend your comments or move on instead of being condescending.

I am not lonely....Just a lover of Scripture which i use to fulfill 1 Peter 3:15.

You should try it sometime and I am sorry I publicly embarrassed you by using Scripture.

"9 Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal:

20 But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal:

21 For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also"

I would add that "he who steals from me steals trash". I thought that was something Jesus said, but it was Shakespeare.

"Deny yourself" -Jesus

Here's what Jesus has to say: " Jesus answered, "My kingdom is not of this world. If My kingdom were of this world, then My servants would be fighting so that I would not be handed over to the Jews; but as it is, My kingdom is not of this realm."

There you have it. Jesus and his servants aren't fighting for this world because they're not of this world.
Good verses there, quoted...

Thank you shnarkle.

Just to be clear. If someone broke into your house you would not defend yourself or your family? You would deny yourself and allow them to defile you and your family???

If a Muslim nation invaded the States you would not defend your country? You would crumble and cower to them?

Needing some clarification....Mary

Do you serve yourself or do you serve God? Do you recall Jesus' own words when he pointed out that "it is not what enters a man that defiles him", or "the flesh counts for nothing"? Christians love to quote that to justify eating what Jesus himself would never have condoned. If the US invaded nation after nation for no good reason, would you support it just because it's your country? Do you support Israel's position in the middle east? Do you know that God has turned his back on Israel? You don't seem to know the difference between "meek and mild" verses "crumble and cower'.

@shnarkle This is the sort of question a lot of Latin Americans ask.

The CIA paid for Billy Graham in Latin America, after all; while doing all sorts of other, irreligious things at the same time... o_O

There is no point in refraining from eating donuts because unless one cuts out all addictive substances, the cravings will never go away. I learned this the hard way. There's only one other option which is to completely indulge in them until you burn out. It could kill you, but unless you cut them out completely it is an exercise in futility. It cannot be done by "will or effort" Rom.9:16.

Here's what has to be done: Cut out wheat, corn, and any type of flour. Anything that is processed, or has ingredients you have no idea what they are. ANYTHING that says, "sugar free" is NOT sugar free. I have an exhaustive list of ingredients that are all essentially just sugar, and any number of them are routinely found on products labeled as sugar free. Alcohol is the most potent form of sugar there is which is why alcoholics who go into recovery will inevitably develop other health issues because they never stop consuming sugar; just the most potent form of it. They only slow their disease, they never cure it.

Grapes, dates, figs, raisins, prunes, pastas, white rice, fruit juices, dairy, nicotine, caffeine, gambling, etc. should all be avoided like the plague.

A good rule of thumb is to consume equal portions of meat, vegetables, fruit, grains(brown rice, millet, quinoa)

Forget about diets, and focus on a healthy food plan instead. The cravings leave within about two weeks and are forgotten within a month or so forever. I used saccharin to get over that initial hump because it isn't addictive. I lost 150 lbs. in less than seven months and the days of roller coaster weight gain and loss are over. I'm not selling anything here either. Although you can check out a book at the library by Kay Shepherd MD which I highly recommend; "From The First Bite".

People who start her program always complain that the portions are too big, but this is only because we've become accustomed to eating small portions of high caloric foods. Her plan reverses that by consuming large portions of low caloric foods. You're never hungry so you never crave anything. It's simply getting back to the basics of how we were designed to live.

Almost every disease imaginable is due to the consumption of sugar. Sugar causes cracks in the arteries which can only be repaired with cholesterol. When the sugar is removed from the diet, the cracks heal, and the cholesterol is allowed to move freely through the body.

I did cut out all wheat and am gluten free. Why did you cut out corn? I am switching to all coconut flour, almond flour. It really is time-consuming because you have to make everything from scratch. I bought a sugar-substitute but have not tried it yet. I was cooking with nothing but honey for awhile but it's a lot of work. I just bought a sugar substitute.

Why the strict diet over grapes and coffee? I enjoy both. And I became a vegetarian many years ago. I love animals and don't eat anything with a face:)

Your diet worked if you lost that much weight! I lose when I go low-carb. Probiotics also regulate the weight I read.

That's very interesting about the arteries. I believe sugar ages the brain too. Have you ever read "Nutrition and Physical Degeneration?"

Why did the CIA pay Billy Graham? I thought he was true but my neighbor said he was all for the rich and always hob-nabbed with them. Then Bradlee Dean had a good video on him and asked why he had a star on the Hollywood walk of fame when Jesus was scorned by such.

I did cut out all wheat and am gluten free. Why did you cut out corn?
Because it's practically nothing but sugar. It is no coincidence that it is used to make high fructose CORN sugar. Alcohol is the most potent form of sugar there is, and corn liquor is about the best and most efficient way to make it.

I am switching to all coconut flour, almond flour. It really is time-consuming because you have to make everything from scratch.
All flour metabolizes into sugar, practically before it even gets to your stomach. Oat bran is about the only thing that takes longer to metabolize so a lot of people use that. Whenever processing occurs prior to the body doing it, all of the energy required to do that is never used by the body. When the body is requred to do the processing itself, it burns fat in order to do that. That's how the body was designed to work. Flour is like predigesting your food for you.
I bought a sugar-substitute but have not tried it yet. I was cooking with nothing but honey for awhile but it's a lot of work. I just bought a sugar substitute.
Most store bought honey isn't honey at all. It's pure sugar. It's best to get local honey that looks like it has a bunch of dirt and junk in it. Have you ever eaten honey comb? It's like candy, but way better. Sugar substitutes are actually sugar. Saccharin is the only thing I would recommend, and only for a limited time if one is going to make any serious attempt to leave an addictive lifestyle in their past. Saccharin isn't addictive, but it's terrible for the body. I used it for about a month. I got a half pint bottle, and used about a dozen drops to start with, and by the end of the month I was down to a couple when i finally stopped using it altogether.
We've been desenstitised to sugar, but when it is cut out of the diet, you begin to taste the sugar that is already in the food you're eating. Carrots taste like Kandy Korn to me. A slice of watermelon is more than enough for me to get whatever sugar I need. Three or more slices gives me a hangover. Just walking by a bakery with desserts can give me a headache. Even the smell of all that sugar is toxic. It smells like moonshine to me.
Why the strict diet over grapes and coffee? I enjoy both.
Grapes are sugar, and rasins are even a higher ratio because the water is gone. Coffee has caffeine which is addictive. I used to drink a pot of coffee every morning with sugar and cream while I chain smoked cigarettes as well. I don't miss any of it anymore. Once in a while, I have some herbal tea.
And I became a vegetarian many years ago. I love animals and don't eat anything with a face
Some people can get away with it. Others don't get enough protein from their diet without some meat. If people even had to dress out the meat they were eating, I suspect well over 70% would pass on eating meat altogether. It's too much work plucking, and gutting fowl, or dressing out a deer, cattle, etc.
Your diet worked if you lost that much weight! I lose when I go low-carb. Probiotics also regulate the weight I read.
It's not really a diet in the traditional sense of the term. We don't think of what we eat as a diet just because we don't eat bugs, or vultures, etc. I eat plenty when I have lots of things to do, and I'm never hungry. About six months ago, I was stranded out on the Gulf of Mexico, and had to ration food, I lost 35 lbs. in two weeks, but I was never hungry nor did I feel tired. I had no ill effects from not eating much of anything. The reason is because I've been off of the western processed diet for over five years.
Anyone who eats processed food, junk food, fast food would not survive a two week fast. The toxins released into their system as their fat stores are burned would poison them to death. Most people who don't eat right can't go more than a day without eating without getting quite sick.
That's very interesting about the arteries. I believe sugar ages the brain too.
Yep. It ages the body horribly. However, when sugar is eliminated from the diet, the body is quite resilient and recovers quite rapidly. I joined a Recovery From Food Addiction Group shortly after I realized I was addicted to "comfort food", and they were using the book by Kay Shepherd. It was like walking into a tent revival meeting because everyone in the place had been on all sorts of prescription medications, and now everyone was off of everything. I was on heart medication for congestive heart failer. Six months later, my cardiologist informed me, with a look of dumbfounded amazement; that I no longer had congestive heart failure. This was after being diagnosed with it over ten years earlier.
I don't have a doctor, and I canceled my health insurance over a year ago.
Have you ever read "Nutrition and Physical Degeneration?"
I've read a number of books on the subject, and i can tell you that I don't just look and feel younger since I eliminated all the junk i used to eat. I am younger. The body heals itself incredibly fast when it's given half a chance.

@shnarkle This is the sort of question a lot of Latin Americans ask.
It's the sort of question anyone with a conscience is going to ask. There is no logical reason to destroy the infrastructure of one country after another, except to radicalize the population against you. This is a windfall for defense contractors. The sad thing is that most people are woefully unaware of how antiquated our military has become. We spend more on defense than the next 7 or 8 biggest countries combined, and have junk to show for it. We've been scammed. There are videos that are quite old showing Russian and Chinese fighter pilots buzzing American fleets at deck level with impunity because they hacked into their computers. They can jam an entire fleet with the flip of the a switch. All anyone can do is to pull a side arm and start shooting. Everything else is run by computers which have Chinese components in them. The military experts estimate it will take ten years to figure out how they did it. The media is silent on the subject because they're owned by corporate Amerika.

Europe is a mess because of all the displaced refugees migrating wherever they can go. US foreign policy in the middle east and Africa is an unqualified disaster, and now they're getting ready to do the exact same thing down in the Caribbean. It's going to be a nightmare if they pull this nonsense in our own backyard.

The CIA paid for Billy Graham in Latin America, after all; while doing all sorts of other, irreligious things at the same time... o_O

The CIA are a bunch of hacks. The vast majority of their coup attempts have all been dismal failures. The deep state isn't deep at all anymore. They've become a bunch of bumbling idiots. When the alternative media is joking about how Epstein is going to be suicided by Hilary Clinton weeks in advance, the deep state is in shallow water. How many people do you know who had friends or worked closely with over 50 people who died under mysterious circumstances?

The government grants tax free status to churches to keep them in line. The mega churches are all run like fortune 500 companies now.

I do not celebrate Halloween with the kids. The name comes from a reference to the Eve of all saints day, but most of the customs are pagan. I'm not against going to a church event that is not gouls-and-goblins themed. I might even be okay with dressing up like saints or Reformation characters for Reformation Day if a church did that. I do not consider candy to be evil in moderation.

Jesus says, "Give to him that asks of thee." Gospel tracts would probably be better accepted if accompanied by chocolate as opposed to some lame candy or apples, unless they are candied apples. But I think apples have been out of consideration since the '80's because of psychos putting needles in them.

@Nancy and @Waiting on him should be embarrassed for “liking” the fact that you are against defending your country and your family.

As usual you put words into my mouth.

I am all for defending family and my country.
As a matter of fact I joined the army when I was 19 years old and many family members were in the military.

But I am against attacking other countries such as your evil Catholic friends were doing during the crusades.

Your Catholic friends were deadly wrong by going to muslim countries raping and murdering.
And they did it in the name of God. How evil.

Anyhow, you can have the last word.
I am not wasting more precious time talking to you.

And this is what you believe Scripture is for?
"All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works." (2 Timothy 3.16-17)

Hi waiting,

Oh, No no no......Defiantly not. I do not believe Scripture should be used to embarrass someone. What happened was I used Scripture to refute your theory and I think you got embarrassed by that soooo that is why you became snarky and condescending; out of your embarrassment.

Scripture is profitable for reproof and for correction. That is what I did with you.

I believe we must always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that we have. I was prepared. You weren't sooooo you went on the attack....:(

Hi shnarkle,

Once you answer my questions, I will answer yours:

You asked for clarification. I clarified my position. You have continued to ignore my questions so I will do the same. If you seriously need clarification, then you need only ask what is so confusing about what you originally responded to. You haven't done that. Instead, you're asking about ME instead of the actual topic. This is the fallacy of the Ad Hominem. Either way, my position is crystal clear, and is no different than what is presented in the gospel narratives. If you're confused, you need to point out exactly what you're confused about.
