Asking for prayer...nearly thirty years is a long time to play with a drug. So yeah, this song seems to be saying something maybe I need to hear and possibly others.
“So long to shame, walk through the sorrow
Out of the fire into tomorrow
So flush the pills, face the fear
Feel the wave disappear
We're comin' clear, we're born again
Our hopeful lungs can breathe again
Oh, we can breathe again”
Absolutely I will pray for you, Victory.
Listen, when it comes to chemical imbalances in the body, I would think you would need the wisdom of God on how to deal with it. Pray for wisdom, on what you should eat, what you should drink, how much sleep you should get, how much or little of the drug you should take... If you know beyond doubt that this is the Lord telling you to stop taking your meds altogether, then by all means. But if not, and if there are still doubts that it was truly God, then pray for wisdom. You can be guaranteed that He will give it to you according to James 1:5-8, so long as you believe that He will and continue to believe it until you start to receive it. Pray for it continually. After awhile He will start revealing some things to you; maybe direct you to a website that reveals some things in your diet or lifestyle that are making your imbalances worse, etc.
I'm telling you what I do the minute any sort of ailment shows up. Some would likely advise me not to try and become my own doctor, but quite honestly the last three times there was something wrong with me I just started praying, and trusted God to show me what was going on. Pretty soon thereafter He would lead me to study some things or bring something to mind that I had learned but forgotten, and after not too long I end up healed, and without a doctor bill. But a serious chemical imbalance, one that you've had for 30 years, is not an eye problem or an infection. It's more serious and complex than that. So start praying for Him to give you wisdom. He will start teaching you what you should do that will help things if you trust Him that He will tell you, and don't stop asking until He does : _)
