You have said MULTIPLE times that we do not sin after salvation. Now you are changing course?

I told you that weeks ago, but you didn't believe it then, so you don't remember it now. What I have said is we don't commit willful sins. But still I try not to commit trespasses either, but with devils its impossible to not want to shake some sense into them. You know, turn over some tables. Especially when they teach young minds the apathy of "everybody sins" without teaching what kinds.

1 John 2:1--My little children, I am writing you these things so that you may not sin. But if anyone does sin, we have an advocate with the Father--Jesus Christ the Righteous One.

I pasted this verse in this post for convenience. I find your explanation to be confusing, and I don't know what you mean by "is ALL sin." Are you talking about PRACTICING sin, which is what John addresses in chapter 3. I've pasted it here from the Amplified Bible (Classic), AMPC.

1 John 3:8-9--
8 [But] he who commits sin [who practices evildoing] is of the devil [takes his character from the evil one], for the devil has sinned (violated the divine law) from the beginning. The reason the Son of God was made manifest (visible) was to undo (destroy, loosen, and dissolve) the works the devil [has done].
9 No one born (begotten) of God [deliberately, knowingly, andhabitually] practices sin, for God’s nature abides in him [His principle of life, the divine sperm, remains permanently within him]; and he cannot practice sinning because he is born (begotten) of God.

Perhaps because you contradict yourself and are not clear in what you say. So good, glad you finally admit that you do sin and are not perfect after salvation. But you sure do seem to advocate for that position in what you write until you are pressed on the issue.

I'm saying that 1 John 1:9 is to BECOME a Christian. We are cleansed of every type of sin there is - Jesus blood is that powerful. He then gives us His sinless Spirit to walk in. So if we willfully sin afterwards, say steal or the married pastor runs off with his secretary, Jesus is NOT automatically our Advocate. We KNOW what we are doing, and as Hebrews 10:26-31 says, we have trampled the Son of God underfoot, counted the blood of the covenant by which he was sanctified a common thing, and insulted the Spirit of grace? 30 For we know Him who said, “Vengeance is Mine, I will repay,” says the Lord. And again, “The Lord will judge His people.” 31 It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.

I teach the difference; you don't.

My understanding is that this epistle was written TO Christians, so I do not believe your interpretation is correct.

Right, but there is a difference between sinless and perfection. I am not perfect. I still have to deal with trespasses, a minor type of "sin." But as long as I walk in the Spirit and try to keep in fellowship with other believers, whether they want to be in fellowship with me or not, even my trespasses are cleansed, and at that time I am again sinless. 1 John 1:7

SO YOU HAVE BEEN LYING FOR DAYS about not sinning. You are a false teacher, have no idea what you are talking about. Sin is sin. You realize this? The most "minor" infraction in human eyes is enough to damn you for eternity in God's. This is all we need to know about you and your lies.

Do you see yourself, David? This was from our discussion weeks ago.

Yes, and, as you have shown, I pointed out your contradictions there too.

I didn't contradict myself. I KNOW what I'm saying. You have a habit of shooting first, and asking questions later. You have a hair trigger temper that is sorely lacking in the fruit of the Spirit, especially for someone who is even a junior pastor.

If you think your posts did not contradict themselves I really don't know what to say.

Repentance is certainly not in your wheelhouse is it. Today you claimed I never taught the difference in sins. Then I showed you our posts from weeks ago, and you still hold your ground as if you are NOT standing on quicksand. You are even treating Episkopos like dirt. You are in the wrong profession. You are not a light, but a blowhard.

John is writing TO Christians, but some verses are not ABOUT Christians. Don't you know this was to his congregation, part of which were made up of Gnostics who were infiltrating the church (1 John 4:1-3). This epistle was to them also.

Was Jesus a "blowhard" when he called self-righteous contradicting Pharisees a brood of vipers?

Are you Jesus? Does your self-righteousness extend even that far?

No humility....just arrogance from you. Not at ALL like the real Jesus.

But you are a sinner and needy in the flesh to satisfy it...so that's to be expected, no?
