Agree...sometimes the discussions get a bit too serious for me ..especially when people are rude to each other ( and I'm not always innocent of that!!)

But, its nice to have a ew lighter threads going on too.

I've told this joke before on this board, but here it is again:

One beautiful Sunday morning a preacher gets the urge to play golf. A bad urge! He calls the assistant Pastor and tells him he's sick and can't make it. He gives home encouragement, a few instructions and wishes him well.

He sets up a Tee time at a course far away from his area and hits the links (the golf course, for those who don't know golf lingo).

He's an alright golfer, but never had a par. But he played not only great, he was two under par! To boot, he actually got a whole in one!

Gabriel is watching all this with God in heaven. He's a little confused.

"Lord, Why did you let him have such a great round of golf? He skipped Church and lied about being sick!"

God just chuckles and says, "who's he going to brag about it to?"

They say those things we most dislike about other people are those things we don't want to look at in ourselves. Deep down I think we all tend to take a cavalier attitude about scripture sometimes. I know it bothers me when people make fun of one faith or another. We will readily trample the beliefs of others, yet we get offended when someone makes fun of our sacred cows.

I don't think it's a coincidence that we have a commandment forbidding engraved images.

Some years back, archeologists discovered an early church in the middle east. They determined that it was a Christian church because they made use of the fish "<><" logo.

Months later, they found an adjacent building with many such fish logos on it. They determined that it was a Christian school.

I sleepy.
