Let's not try to minimize the blatant heresy of Pope Francis with such mollifying comments. When the pope makes a pronouncement it has huge ramifications. It cannot be compared to anything in Protestant churches. And even some core groups of Catholics regard him as a heretic.

My whole point is that no pope can be the coming Antichrist that our Lord Jesus and His Apostles warned us about in His Word. So how guilty the popes are, or have been, in pushing heresy isn't the real matter. The real matter is who is coming to Jerusalem to set himself up as God, and demanding the whole world to worship him in place of God, causing the coming great apostasy away from Christ.
The pope is not a heretic and Catholics do not regard him as a heretic.
