Here's a Message from Apostle Paul in 2 Corinthians 11 about the coming Antichrist. I refer to this one a lot on various levels, so if you read my posts you'll probably see me quote this a lot about events for the end of this world.

2 Cor 11:2-4
2 For I am jealous over you with godly jealousy: for I have espoused you to one husband, that I may present you as a chaste virgin to Christ.
3 But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ.

Right off the bat Paul is comparing his warning for the Church to not be deceived to the deception Satan as "that old serpent" in God's Garden pulled off with Eve.

4 For if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus, whom we have not preached, or if ye receive another spirit, which ye have not received, or another gospel, which ye have not accepted, ye might well bear with him.

KJV

Paul's fear was that they might instead believe a false apostle preaching "another Jesus", and that they might believe it. This is the very same type of warning our Lord Jesus gave in His Olivet discourse against believing on a pseudo-Christ that is to appear in Jerusalem for the end (Matthew 24:23-26, the passage is about a singular false one claimed to be Christ. Our Lord Jesus said don't believe on that false one).

This is kind of a huge... revelation here by Paul. He's showing there are false apostles that preach to believe on "another Jesus" via "another spirit" and "another gospel". That reveals how the true Gospel of Jesus Christ was being twisted even in Paul's day.

Then in 2 Corinthians 11:5-12 Paul starts talking about his commission in comparison to other brethren, and then Paul makes another huge... revelation about some of them:

2 Cor 11:13-15
13 For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ.

False apostles? deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ? Yes, and the Greek for "transforming" is actually a word that means 'to transfigure or disguise' (Strong's no. 3345). Paul is talking about certain brethren in the Church 'disguised' as apostles of Christ; that's a huge... revelation about there being false teachers among Christ's body in his day. He did warn this would happen especially after his leaving (Acts 20:29-31). And in 2 Thessalonians 2:1-2, he warned against listening to those false ones who were passing letters as if from Christ's Apostles, their having confounded among the Thessalonian Church the order of events for Christ's return and gathering of the Church.

14 And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.

And no great surprise, because even Satan disguises himself as "an angel of light". That word "transformed" again is actually 'disguise' in the Greek (Strong's no. 3345). If you don't yet realize it, Paul here just revealed Satan disguises himself as an angel of light, meaning a heavenly servant of God. Does that mean he looks like he has horns, a goatee, a pitchfork, and red flannel underwear? No. It means disguised as The Christ, or didn't you catch Paul made the earlier comparison to "another Jesus" in this chapter??

15 Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.
KJV

Also no great surprise that Satan's ministers also are disguised as God's ministers of righteousness. Paul is pointing to those brethren preaching the "another Jesus" and the "another gospel" he warned at the beginning of the chapter.

In Summary:
There are those crept in unawares of Jude 1 that are preaching that "another Jesus" and are preparing the deceived to accept Satan who will come disguised as an angel of light, and those deceivers disguise themselves as the ministers of righteousness. In essence, Paul is repeating the warnings our Lord Jesus gave about the coming "man of sin" to Jerusalem for the end of this world to sit in a temple claiming to be Messiah, working great signs and wonders to deceive with (Matthew 24:23-26; 2 Thessalonians 2:3-4; Revelation 13:11-14).

Most won't get it,heck most don't know what they are saved from.Believe in Christ and everything will be okay, however it's more to it than that!!!

Matthew 24:3 "And as He sat upon the mount of Olives the disciples came unto Him privately, saying, "Tell us, when shall these things be and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?"

This mount of Olives is less then a mile from the eastern gate of the temple city. Jesus is alone with His disciples, and this matter bothered them as to what would it be like at His second coming, and the end of this earth age.

Jesus went to great detail of what the events and signs would be just before His second advent, that would mark the end of this flesh age.

Matthew 24:4 "And Jesus answered and said unto them, "Take heed that no man deceive you."

This is the number one warning, "Take heed that no man deceive you." Deception will be the foremost thing to guard against in the latter days, that will consummate the end of this age. This means that these events will not happen all at one time, but will take place over a period of time. These warnings or signs that Jesus is about to give us, are the seven seals that are given us in the Book of Revelation.

These are an exact overlay of the seven events, which are the seven seals that we should be watching for today.

One of the most talked about subjects today is the end times and all the events that surround those times. There is no reason that we be anxious of these times, for Jesus told us to wait patiently on Him. In Mark 13 Jesus is going to give His disciples, and to us the seven seals, and these seals are also recorded in the Book of Revelation. They are the seals that mark the end of this earth age of the flesh. The very word "Revelation" means "to reveal", to make known.

Christ would not His elect in the dark concerning the simplicity of His teaching, so Jesus is asked by three of His apostles here, as they are coming out of the Temple, when is the end of the world going to be. We know from Matthew 24:3, this is the actual wording of the question put to Jesus.

Matthew 24:3 "And as He sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto Him privately, saying, "Tell us, when shall these things be and what shall be the sign of "Thy coming, and the end of the world."

It is important that we understand the word "world" as used in the Greek manuscripts, is "aion", and "age, or an age of time". In the Hebrew, " `olam", which denotes a limited, or even an extended period of time, such as the context of each occurrence may demand. So as such, this is talking about the end of our present world age which is characterized by a special form of Divine administration or dispensation.

Jesus is giving us in this chapter the seven events that must come to pass to bring to an end to this age, and the return of Christ. There are many church traditions that have complicate the simplicity the Jesus is teaching here. This is why we should have our ear tuned to the Lord Jesus Christ, and not to man's traditions. So the subject to this entire chapter is, "When is the end of this world age, and what are the events that mark that coming."

Remember that the closing thought to the last chapter was the little widow that had enough faith to give all over her livelihood to God and put here trust in God for provision. So don't forget that the famine in the end times is not for the bread that you eat, but for the knowledge and truth of God's Word.

Amos 8:11 "Behold, the days come, saith the Lord God, that I will send a famine in the land, not a famine of bread, nor a thirst for water, but of hearing the words of the Lord:"

There will be a famine coming very shortly for the knowledge, and for the hearing of the Word of God.

It's even deeper than that, and I'm sure you know what is being said in those verses.

Will just leave this for now

I Corinthians 11:10 "For this cause ought the woman to have power on her head because of the angels."

Why because of the angels??

So again I ask,for those of you who think that satan will just posses a mere man,who did he posses in the garden,or do you actually believe it was a literal snake?

There was a book out that I never got to read but wanted to: "The beautiful side of evil." I think Satan does his most fruitful work when he appears as an angel of light.

I haven't read it. I think our Lord Jesus and His Apostles made it pretty clear what he is going to try to do for the end of this world, which parallels his original rebellion in coveting God's throne back in the world that was.

The man will be the Man of Sin, the Son of Perdition, the Beast, the Antichrist. He may be possessed by Satan, but he will be a human being nonetheless. Therefore you are creating an imaginary Satan.

Indeed, the Unholy Trinity proves that you are TOTALLY INCORRECT.
And [1] the devil [SATAN] that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where [2] the beast [THE ANTICHRIST] and [3] the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever. (Rev 20:10)

Another point you have missed about that Rev.20:10 reference is what I've already shown about the "son of perdition" idea applied to Satan mainly,

John 6:70-71
70 Jesus answered them, Have not I chosen you twelve, and one of you is a devil?
71 He spake of Judas Iscariot the son of Simon: for he it was that should betray him, being one of the twelve.
KJV

Our Lord Jesus called Judas "a devil". The "son of perdition" in 2 Thess.2 isn't about Judas, because he was already dead when Apostle Paul wrote his Epistles to the Thessalonians. I'm surprised you're not able to think for yourself on that point.

Furthermore, the casting of the devil into the future "lake of fire" per Rev.20 is at the END of Christ's future "thousand years" reign. So that event disproves nothing that I have shown on this thread. But what you have shown is that you like to make things up, or agree with men's doctrines (like the "Unholy Trinity" idea, which isn't written anywhere in God's Word).

Now you are simply manufacturing your own theology in opposition to Scripture. It would be a waste of time to go any further with this.

Just as Judas Iscariot is called the Son of Perdition, so is the Antichrist (a man, not a spirit being). But if you enjoy creating fantasies, have fun. I'm out.

You really are not one for the serious Bible student to be listening to, since the type of churches you attend do not teach real Bible prophecy for the end, but they teach fantasies about flying away to escape the coming great tribulation when Jesus showed His servants will go through it and be gathered after the tribulation.

This one below is NOT... some flesh-born man. No flesh-born man ascends out of the bottomless pit, nor is a king which is the angel of the bottomless pit some flesh man. This is God's Word in its simplicity. So go back to your leaven doctrines from men that hide God's Word from you, by your own choosing.

Rev 9:11
11 And they had a king over them, which is the angel of the bottomless pit, whose name in the Hebrew tongue is Abaddon, but in the Greek tongue hath his name Apollyon.
KJV

Rev 11:7
7 And when they shall have finished their testimony, the beast that ascendeth out of the bottomless pit shall make war against them, and shall overcome them, and kill them.
KJV

Rev 17:8
8 The beast that thou sawest was, and is not; and shall ascend out of the bottomless pit, and go into perdition: and they that dwell on the earth shall wonder, whose names were not written in the book of life from the foundation of the world, when they behold the beast that was, and is not, and yet is.

Yes AGREE ..well said.

You shouldn't agree with someone who doesn't really understand God's Word about the "son of perdition" idea Apostle Paul taught in 2 Thessalonians 2.

One of Satan's titles per Rev.9 is "Apollyon" from the Greek where our word 'perdition' comes from. That is who Paul was really pointing to in 2 Thessalonians 2:3-4.

Rev 17:8
8 The beast that thou sawest was, and is not; and shall ascend out of the bottomless pit, and go into perdition: and they that dwell on the earth shall wonder, whose names were not written in the book of life from the foundation of the world, when they behold the beast that was, and is not, and yet is.

KJV

That is about the coming beast king, which is written of in Revelation 13:11 forward as the "another beast", i.e., a second beast, an entity. He is to work great signs and wonders, raining fire down from heaven to the earth. He ascends up from the earth we are told there. That will not be some flesh man that 'ascends out of the bottomless pit'. Many aren't paying attention to the Scripture as written.

The point here being...it was a man which Satan entered into...

>>So it will also 'be a man'...not satan 'himself'. ( by himself) he will always need a man ..while the earth remains...

That is a doctrine of men, that much is true. It isn't really a Bible doctrine though.

No flesh man will be ascending out of the bottomless pit as the coming "another beast" of Rev.13, the one who speaks as a dragon (the devil).

Rev 17:8
8 The beast that thou sawest was, and is not; and shall ascend out of the bottomless pit, and go into perdition: and they that dwell on the earth shall wonder, whose names were not written in the book of life from the foundation of the world, when they behold the beast that was, and is not, and yet is.

Excellent question.. :)

How will the Antichrist that's coming being Satan himself on earth in our dimension make a difference? That was @Windmillcharge question I assume.

The difference is HUGE!

When our Lord Jesus shows up, what do you think He will say to those brethren that fell away to worship that coming pseudo-Christ, thinking instead that false one was our Lord Jesus? That is the very point many brethren are not understanding about the tribulation to come at the very end.

It isn't just about how wicked can the wicked get on earth before our Lord Jesus' return. It's about being deceived into bowing in worship to another in our Lord's place. Do brethren really think that bowing to a pseudo-Christ would be to some ordinary flesh-born man? Thinking to bow to some flesh man as God in place of Jesus is a special kind of deception itself!

This is the difference our Lord Jesus is showing us in His Word. The coming pseudo-Christ is going to PLAY The Christ (i.e., The Messiah of The Bible). That is WHY... the Antichrist is going to be doing those great signs and wonders, that IF possible, would deceive even Christ's very elect (Matthew 24:22-26).

It is not... about some doctrine of man saying the Antichrist is going to be some flesh man like Judas. Show me anywhere in God's Word where a flesh man worked great signs, wonders, and miracles while proclaiming himself as God.

satan is the only person by name that has been sentenced to death.his 7000 angels that arrive with him will die at the return of Christ, but they are not named.

Revelation 11:13 "And the same hour was there a great earthquake, and the tenth part of the city fell, and in the earthquake were slain of men seven thousand: and the remnant were affrighted, and gave glory to the God of heaven."

search the scriptures and see where satan is called a man...

No flesh man ascends out of the bottomless pit. That's about the pit of hell, Satan's home. So that identifier is very simple, one just can't embellish it to make it say some flesh-born man coming out of woman's womb.

That idea of the deceived that will marvel at that beast "when they behold" him, is another tell tell sign that that beast ascending out of the bottomless pit isn't about some flesh born man.

The Devil is Coming, In Person!
You mean you and sister Ellen G White are in agreement?

"... As the crowning act in the great drama of deception, Satan himself will personate Christ. The church has long professed to look to the Saviour's advent as the consummation of her hopes. Now the great deceiver will make it appear that Christ has come. In different parts of the earth, Satan will manifest himself among men as a majestic being of dazzling brightness, resembling the description of the Son of God given by John in the Revelation. Revelation 1:13-15. The glory that surrounds him is unsurpassed by anything that mortal eyes have yet beheld. The shout of triumph rings out upon the air: "Christ has come! Christ has come!" The people prostrate themselves in adoration before him, while he lifts up his hands and pronounces a blessing upon them, as Christ blessed His disciples when He was upon the earth. His voice is soft and subdued, yet full of melody. In gentle, compassionate tones he presents some of the same gracious, heavenly truths which the Saviour uttered; he heals the diseases of the people, and then, in his assumed character of Christ, he claims to have changed the Sabbath to Sunday, and commands all to hallow the day which he has blessed. He declares that those who persist in keeping holy the seventh day are blaspheming his name by refusing to listen to his angels sent to them with light and truth. This is the strong, almost overmastering delusion. Like the Samaritans who [625] were deceived by Simon Magus, the multitudes, from the least to the greatest, give heed to these sorceries, saying: This is "the great power of God." Acts 8:10. {GC 624.2}

But the people of God will not be misled. The teachings of this false christ are not in accordance with the Scriptures. His blessing is pronounced upon the worshipers of the beast and his image, the very class upon whom the Bible declares that God's unmingled wrath shall be poured out. {GC 625.1}

And, furthermore, Satan is not permitted to counterfeit the manner of Christ's advent. The Saviour has warned His people against deception upon this point, and has clearly foretold the manner of His second coming. "There shall arise false christs, and false prophets, and shall show great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect. . . . Wherefore if they shall say unto you, Behold, He is in the desert; go not forth; behold, He is in the secret chambers; believe it not. For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be." Matthew 24:24-27, 31; 25:31; Revelation 1:7; 1 Thessalonians 4:16, 17. This coming there is no possibility of counterfeiting. It will be universally known--witnessed by the whole world. {GC 625.2}

Only those who have been diligent students of the Scriptures and who have received the love of the truth will be shielded from the powerful delusion that takes the world captive. By the Bible testimony these will detect the deceiver in his disguise. To all the testing time will come. By the sifting of temptation the genuine Christian will be revealed. ..." - The Great Controversy (1911), pages 624.2-625.2

I never said all things she taught was not Biblical. Her date setting was though, as I've already shown from your pushing of her ideas of trying to apply years for days without Bible support.

The Biblical pointers to Satan being the final Antichrist/pseudo-Messiah to come at the end of this world isn't a private interpretation. It should be a natural conclusion by those who have done disciplined study in God's Word by The Holy Spirit.

8 The beast that thou sawest was, and is not; and shall ascend out of the bottomless pit, and go into perdition: and they that dwell on the earth shall wonder, whose names were not written in the book of life from the foundation of the world, when they behold the beast that was, and is not, and yet is.

KJV

No flesh man ascends out of the bottomless pit. That's about the pit of hell, Satan's home. So that identifier is very simple, one just can't embellish it to make it say some flesh-born man coming out of woman's womb.

That idea of the deceived that will marvel at that beast "when they behold" him, is another tell tell sign that that beast ascending out of the bottomless pit isn't about some flesh born man.

Jesus is speaking to the scribes and Pharisees here

Joh 8:39 They answered and said unto him, Abraham is our father. Jesus saith unto them, If ye were Abraham's children, ye would do the works of Abraham.

These fake Jews were of Abraham, thru Esau. Esau married women who were of Cain
and most of these Pharisees and scribes were of that union. When southern Israel was invaded by Babylon ( around 540bc) the children of Judea were taken to Babylon, where many of the children of Judea played the whore and married into their enemy, the children of Cain.

Joh 8:40 But now ye seek to kill me, a man that hath told you the truth, which I have heard of God: this did not Abraham.

Joh 8:41 Ye do the deeds of your father. Then said they to him, We be not born of fornication; we have one Father, even God.

Joh 8:42 Jesus said unto them, If God were your Father, ye would love me: for I proceeded forth and came from God; neither came I of myself, but he sent me.

Joh 8:43 Why do ye not understand my speech? even because ye cannot hear my word.

Joh 8:44 Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.
Jesus was speaking about Cain.
1Jn 3:12 Not as Cain, who was of that wicked one, and slew his brother

Joh 8:45 And because I tell you the truth, ye believe me not.

Joh 8:46 Which of you convinceth me of sin? And if I say the truth, why do ye not believe me?

Joh 8:47 He that is of God heareth God's words: ye therefore hear them not, because ye are not of God.

Yes, I'm aware that some of Esau took wives of both Ishamel and the Canaanites. The scribes of Israel were of the Kenites, a family that lived among the lands of Canaan (Gen.15:19; 1 Chronicles 2:55). Dr. James Strong translated the name Kenite to be the first child (Cain).

But that has nothing to do with Revelation 17:8, unless you're talking about the serpent seed doctrine, which I don't hold to.
