David in NigeriaThe next time Jesus comes into your livingroom , get him to give you the gift of spelling and the gift of structuring a sentence properly. That way we will be able to understand his messages accurately. Also , get Jesus to give you several short term predictions. That way we can determine the accuracy of all he says through you.Martin W.

David in NigeriaWhile you are at it David , there have been some recent arguments here on this forum about the length and color of Jesus' hair and what is an appropriate hair length for Christian men. What were your observations when Jesus was in your living room?Martin W.

While I do agree, Martin W., that this man's account is absolutely unfounded, (he may have truly seen someone, but it wasn't Jesus) I do not believe that the Lord would have us mocking another person's statements. Telling him he is wrong bluntly and showing him why he is wrong would suffice.

Martin W. Your comments are totally off base and uncalled for. Who are you to say if saliuafo's vision was real or not. Joe 2:28 And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions:
The next time Jesus comes into your livingroom , get him to give you the gift of spelling and the gift of structuring a sentence properly.
Did you notice that David is from nigeria. English likely isn't his primary language. You make an insulting comment like this again and you will not be welcome on this forum any longer.Tom Webster

Hi all,I just want to say that Jesus is close to everyone that seeks him. As Tomwebster said Jesus speaks to people in different ways either through his word, in dreams or even in visions. So, let’s not judge others. Ami

I guess the poor guy got scared away. I am not seeing anymore posts by him. I also want to add that it is difficult to understand the way Jesus chooses to reveal himself to people. In America we seem to have all the teaching and theologically correct doctrine but we lack reality and power. This can cause a real callousness on our part when someone gives us a testimony that doesn't fit into our paradigm view of how God moves. We become like the Pharisees looking at Jesus to see if he would heal on the sabbath. As soon as our preconceived notions of God are violated we are ready to crucify the person. On the other hand ,we see deception and false doctrine destroying the body of Christ and our brothers and sisters. We therefore take a stand by obeying Jude when he said "Let us earnestly contend for the faith once delivered to the saints" However,in doing so we must never forget Paul's words when he said "we grow by speaking the truth..in LOVE" It's easy to have truth but real love is hard to come by isn't it? We can gain truth by an intellectual pursuit but love only comes by one way...dying to our self and letting Jesus love through us.

.....................................................there are not many that believe me. i know how i have been tricked sometimes [but this was allowed by god] i know god has given me visions. i am a sinner in the flesh. also forgiven by god and the lord....so then as i have said many times ,stay away from the boxes set up by the rcc and the sunday keeping churches..but you will not believe that either because the freedom of your own beliefs..so then these others should have there freedom also with out ridicule from you ..we are all heading into this great day together.and know matter what we go threw we will be with the lord forever. so then let us praise each other and lift each other up in love in forgiveness and tolerance. something the owners of this site should learn a little more, in there guest for a great forum to which i like and wish to express my self with ourt fear but in respect and ever learning english skilles ....................................................................................QUOTE (tomwebster @ Feb 1 2009, 04:26 AM) index.php?act=findpost&pid=68751

Tom your intention was right on, thou I would rather you had given him a chance to retract before making the last point. I am an American and sometimes my sentence structure fails and I mis-spell words due to my conditions. Have we lost two people now, one giving his understanding as best he can and another needing understanding? I cannot and will not fault you for your anger thou Tom. A harsh word is like a nail in a board, it can be removed but will leave a scar. Forgive him Martin as you wish to be forgiven and forgive me if my words seem harsh, as it is not my intention.

Martin, I have also seen Jesus face to face standing in front of me. It would take a crayon from heaven to draw him as he was light with form yet without shadow. As for the lenght of his hair... I was so overwhelmed by the peace and love emitting from him that i could care less about the lenght of his hair, sorry, maybe next time I can take notes? As for any "great revelation" yes, I received one, he came to inquire how I was doing. At that time and for sometime afterward I wondered why was I not given more, now I understand. And it was sufficient!

*yawn*

Tom, a quick perusal of this board shows you have made worse comments than that to people here, and on more than one occasion.

Switch to decaf.

Talk about reviving an old thread

I think the pessimism we show is truly sad... I'm not saying we should believe everyone. But we must do everything in love. If someone says with a childlike attitude that he has seen the Lord, why not go to him humbly and ask him more about it. Investigate with an open mind.

If Paul came and said he saw Jesus on the way to Tarsus, but you didn't know it was Paul, would you shame him and say he's silly? If we are honest with ourselves we can say that we would treat him the same way as we would (or have) treated this man.

There is nothing surhuman about Paul. He was a man like you and me.

TThat's what so special about what Christ does. He comes in all humility. If we do not carry that attitude in our heart, and we are not willing to stoop low and be meek, we will actually miss the message he is trying to send us and say it wasn't him.

I don't say this in judgment. I say it because I'm truly saddened to see the way much of Christianity treats others, most of all brothers who say the Lord has given them something. If we do not clothe ourselves in humility and take the lowest seat, we could become like the Pharisees.

It really is serious business. It's sad.
