Sacrifice meaning taking the good with the bad, or just accepting the bad. Some people only get in relations providing that something is in it for them.
If one's attempts to turn the other cheek without knowing why God intended this to be the best policy, the expected results, which is to expose the culprit's sin, and keep yourself innocent, may backfire, and instead, the guilty party may become empowered to insult and abuse further.
there's no need to expose sin, sinners have no judgement of sinners. how about your sins be exposed? or would you rather they be covered? Jesus didn't and doesn't expose sin, He covers it, in that the Father sees His through His Beloved Son rather then Adam.

Noah's curse stuck because the Lord his God agreed:
Gen 9:21 And he drank of the wine, and was drunken; and he was uncovered within his tent.
Gen 9:22 And Ham, the father of Canaan, saw the nakedness of his father, and told his two brethren without.
Gen 9:23 And Shem and Japheth took a garment, and laid it upon both their shoulders, and went backward, and covered the nakedness of their father; and their faces were backward, and they saw not their father's nakedness.
Gen 9:24 And Noah awoke from his wine, and knew what his younger son had done unto him.
Gen 9:25 And he said, Cursed be Canaan; a servant of servants shall he be unto his brethren.
Gen 9:26 And he said, Blessed be the LORD God of Shem; and Canaan shall be his servant.

Jesus didn't come to find sin in the sinner He came to deliver the faithful.

Wow! That was well said! I have tried so many times to say the same thing, but failed to put it so simply and to-the-point as this!

The Lord our God never to my recollection in scripture teach or tell the Children of Israel to “love your enemy” in the OT. There is “thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself” but no love your enemy.

So why now that Jesus has come into the world is He teaching us who know Him, to love your enemy?
"If your enemy is hungry, give him bread to eat;
And if he is thirsty, give him water to drink;
For so you will heap coals of fire on his head,
And the Lord will reward you." Proverbs 25:21-22 NKJV

I have no idea what you're talking about? I was talking about the significance of turning the other cheek, not salvation???

excellent find, I do believe Paul makes some mention of the same.

but the father of the writer of that text, King David killed his 10 thousands by the will of the same Lord and David taught Solomon to seek wisdom as the principal thing according to Solomon. also just what is meant by "For so you will heap coals of fire on his head" sounds like some sort of revenge to me. if you love some one you don't hope for their demise or harm, do you? and there is no mention of love or like in this case.

also look at the wicked and their wealth and power in the world, doesn't the Lord God do the same to them?
