So let's review the order of the creation physical life on earth to this point:

First came the trees, grass, and plant life; followed by the fish and the fowl [birds] on the fourth day.

Second in the order God, created the beasts of the field, or the wild animals on the fifth day.

Third in the order of creation came male and female, all the races except for Adam {eth-Ha-Adham}, and this was done on the sixth day.

Fourth in the order of God's creation was the time on the seventh day for rest.

Fifth in the order of God's creation, on the eighth day [or a time beyond] God formed Adam, [eth-Ha-adham] to till the soil.

The last order of the creation to this point is the creation of all domestic animals, for the use by Adam, and his naming of them.

Genesis 2:20 "And Adam gave names to all cattle, and to the fowl of the air, and to every beast of the field; but for Adam there was not found an help meet for him."

So though the races had their male and female counterparts, God has given only the domestic animals, and no wife to Adam.. Remember, God's order for His creation was "kind after kind". In the term; "..there was not found an help meet for him", indicates that God never intended for the mixing of the races. This is why "there was not found" a wife for Adam. There is no documentation which spells out the method of God's creation for the other races, and whatever is said is pure speculation; However, all the races are God's children, and God loves all his children.

Genesis 2:21 "And the Lord God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he slept: and He took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof;"

Adam was made in the image of God, and the angels, however, Adam is about to have surgery to change something." Does this mean that man is one rib short? Of course not. The word "rib" in the Hebrew text is "Tsela", and Strong's Dictionary numbers it # 6763, from the prime root, # 6760; "to curve".

What that surgery was, has as many answers as there is people guessing. However, we know that Eve was formed from Adam by the use of surgery.

Genesis 2:22 "And the rib, which the Lord God had taken from man, made He a woman, and brought her unto the man."

We know the man in this verse is Adam, because verse twenty two is part of verse twenty one. God set this woman apart from all other women living then, that were formed through the sixth day creation. It will be through this woman that the Christ child would come [be born], and from her daughters.

The documentation connecting Eve [this woman] and the Christ child is given in Luke 3:23-38. The only way your soul will obtain eternal life is through that Christ child, and through His shed blood on the cross, and our repentance and acceptance of Him .

Genesis 2:23 "And Adam said, "This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man."

There were no women in the world that was [the first earth age], for all souls were the same in the first earth age. The same angelic body form that the angels have in this earth age, is the form that our souls had in the first earth age. There were no females, for all souls of that age are referred to as "sons", or in the masculine sense, by God.

My personal opinion is that God took the stronger souls and put them in the female bodies, because the can take a lot more pain then men, through childbirth.

Genesis 2:24 "Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh."

When a man and woman replenishes the earth, they both become one flesh through their offspring. Spiritually they are one flesh anyway, for "what God has brought together, let no man put asunder". The greatest gift that God gave to man, was a woman to be his helpmate.

Genesis 2:25 "And they were both naked, the man and his wife, and were not ashamed."

Why were they not ashamed? They had not met the snake yet. They had not partaken of the person known as "the tree of the knowledge of good and evil", and the world knows him as Satan.

To continue into Genesis and get the full understanding of what happened in the garden of Eden, you have to go into the Hebrew Text. That understanding has had a bearing on all mankind, and even effects prophecy in these final days. It requires a concordance which is numbered to the Hebrew dictionary. This will allow you to take the Hebrew words, and concepts back to the prime root meaning. Strong's Exhaustive concordance with Hebrew and Greek dictionary is probably the best study tool on the market today.

The Companion Bible, which follows the King James 1611 edition, combined with the Massorah text, compiled by Dr. C. D. Ginsburg from the ancient Massorah manuscripts, is by far the most superior and accurate of all versions on the market today. The Companion Bible is not a New Translation, and it is not an amended translation; it is not even a commentary. By using the original text, it is giving you exactly what the words of the original text mean, the Bible itself becomes the interpreter of God's Word, and His Will.

It is by the use of the Companion Bible, by Kregel publications that we will continue our studies into these Scriptures.

GINOLJC, to all.
Addressing the OP only.
the topic, "Study the Bible for Truth's Sake". when it comes to the bible, Studying it will only make good students. and that's good. but the word of God, God himself, must be by revelation of him, the Holy Spirit. the scriptures, states,
2 Timothy 2:15 "Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth". the key to understanding this scriptures is right at the beginning of it. STUDY, for what? "to shew thyself approved unto God". Not to learn God, because he cannot be learned. when we "STUDY" we show God that we're intrested in his holy Word and he will reveal himself, meaning the scriptures will be revealed to you. as said if one just study the bible without the Holy Spirit, yes, studying just make good bible students, yet without understanding, because the bible is a sealed book, which one need the revelator to reveale it to you. supportive scripture,
Isaiah 29:9 "Stay yourselves, and wonder; cry ye out, and cry: they are drunken, but not with wine; they stagger, but not with strong drink.

Isaiah 29:10 "For the LORD hath poured out upon you the spirit of deep sleep, and hath closed your eyes: the prophets and your rulers, the seers hath he covered.

Isaiah 29:11 "And the vision of all is become unto you as the words of a book that is sealed, which men deliver to one that is learned, saying, Read this, I pray thee: and he saith, I cannot; for it is sealed:

Isaiah 29:12 "And the book is delivered to him that is not learned, saying, Read this, I pray thee: and he saith, I am not learned.

so the educated, (studying the bible) and the uneducated, (Just spot reading), are in the same boat, without knowledge and understanding. WHY, for the bible is sealed. but a brighter day has come. Revelation 5:1 "And I saw in the right hand of him that sat on the throne a book written within and on the backside, sealed with seven seals.

the same book Isaiah spoke of,

Revelation 5:4 "And I wept much, because no man was found worthy to open and to read the book, neither to look thereon. (right there "NO MAN" that's why one needs the Holy Spirit).

Revelation 5:5 "And one of the elders saith unto me, Weep not: behold, the Lion of the tribe of Juda, the Root of David, hath prevailed to open the book, and to loose the seven seals thereof". the ROOT of David is the Spirit, God, the Holy Spirit, the only TRUE GOD who is able to open the book and that's the only way your "MIND" is going to be open, by the Spirit.

Romans 12:2 "And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God".

REPENT,

1 Corinthians 2:11 "For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God.

1 Corinthians 2:12 "Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God. (BINGO, you got to have the Holy Spirit to know and understand the things of God).

1 Corinthians 2:13 "Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual.

1 Corinthians 2:14 "But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.

NO! Read Genesis 1. Adam was created on day six.
Correct. Given below is the proper way to harmonize Genesis chapters 1 & 2.

PART I (Please note that the system is striking through everything below)

INTRODUCTION

2:4 These are the generations of the heavens and of the earth when they were created, in the day that the LORD God made the earth and the heavens,
1:1 In the beginning God created the heaven
and the earth. [Note: "heavens" is plural in the Hebrew]
1:2 And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.

DAY 1
1:3 And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.
1:4 And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness.
1:5 And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night.
And the evening and the morning were the first day. [Note: this is a 24 hour day]

DAY 2
1:6 And God said, Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters.
1:7 And God made the firmament, and divided the waters which were under the firmament from the waters which were above the firmament: and it was so.
1:8 And God called the firmament Heaven.
And the evening and the morning were the second day. [Note: this is a 24 hour day]

DAY 3
1:9 And God said, Let the waters under the heaven be gathered together unto one place, and let the dry land appear: and it was so.
1:10 And God called the dry land Earth; and the gathering together of the waters called he Seas: and God saw that it was good.
1:11 And God said, Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb yielding seed, and the fruit tree yielding fruit after his kind, whose seed is in itself, upon the earth: and it was so.
2:5 And every plant of the field before it was in the earth, and every herb of the field before it grew: for the LORD God had not caused it to rain upon the earth, and there was not a man to till the ground.
2:6 But there went up a mist from the earth, and watered the whole face of the ground.
1:12 And the earth brought forth grass, and herb yielding seed after his kind, and the tree yielding fruit, whose seed was in itself, after his kind: and God saw that it was good.
1:13
And the evening and the morning were the third day. [Note: this is a 24 hour day]

DAY 4
1:14 And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years:
1:15 And let them be for lights in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth: and it was so.
1:16 And God made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night: he made the stars also.
1:17 And God set them in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth,
1:18 And to rule over the day and over the night, and to divide the light from the darkness: and God saw that it was good.
1:19
And the evening and the morning were the fourth day. [Note: this is a 24 hour day]

DAY 5
1:20 And God said, Let the waters bring forth abundantly the moving creature that hath life, and fowl that may fly above the earth in the open firmament of heaven.
1:21 And God created great whales, and every living creature that moveth, which the waters brought forth abundantly, after their kind, and every winged fowl after his kind: and God saw that it was good.
1:22 And God blessed them, saying, Be fruitful, and multiply, and fill the waters in the seas, and let fowl multiply in the earth.
1:23
And the evening and the morning were the fifth day. [Note: this is a 24 hour day]

PART II

DAY 6
1:24 And God said, Let the earth bring forth the living creature after his kind, cattle, and creeping thing, and beast of the earth after his kind: and it was so.
1:25 And God made the beast of the earth after his kind, and cattle after their kind, and every thing that creepeth upon the earth after his kind: and God saw that it was good.

1:30 And to every beast of the earth, and to every fowl of the air, and to every thing that creepeth upon the earth, wherein there is life, I have given every green herb for meat [food] it was so.
1:26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.

2:7 And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.
2:8 And the LORD God planted a garden eastward in Eden; and there he put the man whom he had formed.
2:9 And out of the ground made the LORD God to grow every tree that is pleasant to the sight, and good for food; the tree of life also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of knowledge of good and evil.
2:10 And a river went out of Eden to water the garden; and from thence it was parted, and became into four heads.
2:11 The name of the first is Pison: that is it which compasseth the whole land of Havilah, where there is gold;
2:12 And the gold of that land is good: there is bdellium and the onyx stone.
2:13 And the name of the second river is Gihon: the same is it that compasseth the whole land of Ethiopia.
2:14 And the name of the third river is Hiddekel: that is it which goeth toward the east of Assyria. And the fourth riveris Euphrates.
2:15 And the LORD God took the man, and put him into the garden of Eden to dress it and to keep it.

1:29 And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat. [food]
2:16 And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat:
2:17 But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.
2:18 And the LORD God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him.
2:19 And out of the ground the LORD God formed every beast of the field, and every fowl of the air; and brought themunto Adam to see what he would call them: and whatsoever Adam called every living creature, that was the name thereof.
2:20 And Adam gave names to all cattle, and to the fowl of the air, and to every beast of the field; but for Adam there was not found an help meet for him.
2:21 And the LORD God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he slept: and he took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof;
2:22 And the rib, which the LORD God had taken from man, made he a woman, and brought her unto the man.
2:23 And Adam said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man.
2:24 Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh.
2:25 And they were both naked, the man and his wife, and were not ashamed.

1:27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.
1:28 And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.
1:31 And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good.
And the evening and the morning were the sixth day. [Note: this is a 24 hour day]
2:1 Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them.

DAY 7
2:2 And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made.
2:3 And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made.

how can that be, the bible is the word of God as so many keep telling me, and is therefore perfect.
The Companion Bible was a creation of E. W. Bullinger, who was an Ultra- or Hyper-Dispensationalist. Therefore he introduced many doctrinal errors into his copious notes. We are not referring to the Word of God but the notes of an Anglican clergyman from the 19th century.

Here's just one example: "The "adoration of the Magi" must have taken place at Nazareth..."

This contradicts the Bible record, which says that the star led the wise men to Bethlehem.

1 Now when Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judaea in the days of Herod the king, behold, there came wise men from the east to Jerusalem,
7 Then Herod, when he had privily called the wise men, inquired of them diligently what time the star appeared.
8 And he sent them to Bethlehem, and said, Go and search diligently for the young child; and when ye have found
him, bring me word again, that I may come and worship him also.
9 When they had heard the king, they departed; and, lo, the star, which they saw in the east, went before them, till it came and stood over where the young child was.
10 When they saw the star, they rejoiced with exceeding great joy.

He also denies that these wise men (magoi = magi) were Gentiles, even though we see above that they had come from "the east" and magi were astrologers/astronomers from Persia.

not saying to argue, but consider this. if a day is a 24hr Solar day, the sun was not made until ... day 4. scripture,
Genesis 1:14 "And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years: (did you see thast?)

Genesis 1:15 "And let them be for lights in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth: and it was so.

Genesis 1:16 "And God made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night: he made the stars also.

Genesis 1:17 "And God set them in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth,

Genesis 1:18 "And to rule over the day and over the night, and to divide the light from the darkness: and God saw that it was good.

Genesis 1:19 "And the evening and the morning were the fourth day.

see days, are solar days, notice the "s" at the end of "DAYS". just from reading it, one can see it's more than one day. now that the earth is rotating.

PICJAG
Whether the Sun was before, during or after the earth, the earth was rotating in 24 hour intervals in its creation. Therefore, the evening and the morning was the literal first 24 hour day etc.

WARNING: THE COMPANION BIBLE IS FULL OF FALSE TEACHINGS.

Why? Nobody is perfect yet he was the best to translate Hebrew, Aramaic, and Koine Greek, that the Word was originally written in.

Have you ever read the letter to the reader from the original King James

Commentary on King James Translators
Letter to the Reader

| you are here: Comment | 1 | 2 | 3 | 4 | 5 | 6 | Next

This letter from the Translators is long and while the spelling and letters used have been updated it still has many words spelled the way they were commonly spelled four hundred years ago. However, aside from the Latin sprinkled here and there, the message is discernible to anyone with any degree of intelligence and frankly should be read by EVERY Christian on the planet. Admittedly there are parts that are easier and more interesting reading so before you give up altogether perhaps consider skipping over any such place and try another section. It is better to read part of this valuable letter than to not read it at all. That is just how much information I believe it contains for those seeking truth and knowledge.

Those who criticize or try to correct the King James Bible and who use one of the modern versions and have not read this Letter to the Reader and the Epistle Dedicatory, have made an important decision without being fully informed and educated. Such is folly. For those reading other translations who do not know who Mr. Westcott and Mr. Hort are, and do not know what happened from 1849 to 1881, well that too speaks of their folly.

Back in the mid 1990's when the Internet was nothing like it is today I ordered a copy of the King James Bible Translators Letter To The Reader from the American Bible Society. They not only charged me for making the copy but sent one that was barely legible due to the blackness of the pages. I thought it a poor show for a supposedly Christian company but I have come to understand they have no real regard for God's Word same as most other Bible printers besides the money it brings into their bank account. In order to read the letter I took a yellow legal pad and I painstakingly wrote out every word that I could make out on that pad. I forget how long it took me but I believe it was a couple of weeks working several hours a day.

The KJBible Translators also predict they will be criticized, ostracized, and flat out lied about, which had already begun before publication, and it is still happening today.
The point is, I wrote it all out having to read and re-read every sentence as I went. I liken it to driving down a road versus walking down that same road. Writing something down is the walk and reading is the drive. Guess which one encounters more information from that roadway? When I was finished writing I read the entire letter through and so I know what message the Translators were sending to Bible readers. It helped me to know their heart, their respect and care for the Word of God and why they translated certain words and passages as they did. It also helped me to know that they had no ulterior motive other than to be able to put the Bible into the hands of every person who wanted one in a form they could read for themselves. Having a taste of who these men were caused me to also seek out and learn much more about each of them and how they lived their lives. No modern translator or compiler that I am aware of even comes close to those Godly men of four hundred plus years ago.

Genesis 1:2 "And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep."

Who is that Spirit of God? He is the Holy Spirit, and it is God's Spirit that moved upon the face of the waters.

In the Hebrew translation of the word, "was", as used in this verse "...the earth was without form,..."; in the original text it reads "became without form...". This same mistranslation of the word "became", and turning it into the word "was" is also present in Genesis 2:7. It should read there; "..and man became a living soul."

was
1961 hayah
hayah (haw-yaw); a primitive root [compare OT:1933]; to exist, i.e. be or become, come to pass (always emphatic, and not a mere copula or auxiliary):KJV - beacon, altogether, be (-come), accomplished, committed, like), break, cause, come (to pass), do, faint, fall, follow, happen, have, last, pertain, quit (oneself-), require, use.

void
922
bohuw (bo'-hoo); from an unused root (meaning to be empty); a vacuity, i.e. (superficially) an undistinguishable ruin:
KJV - emptiness, void.
The correct Hebrew translation from the Massoretic Hebrew text for the words, "without form" is "tohu-va bohu" in the Hebrew Strong's dictionary. So we see that the earth was not "created without form", but it "became [tohu] without form and void". Lets go to Strong's Hebrew dictionary, reference number 1961 to verify the word "was", that we read in this verse. "Yahah, haw-yaw; a prime root, to exit; to become, or come to pass." [#1961]

If you don't understand the above ,you won't really understand His Word.

You say you hate Strongs, give me a better one!!!!

short answer ........ Nope.

example, did not God make the animals in chapter 1. but in chapter 2 he tells exactly how and when he made/formed them. if we didn't have chapter 2 we would not have known that Adam the man was made before the animals. only Eve, the woman was formed after the animals. thank God for the detailed chapter 2.

Doesn’t it say here they were created the same day?

Whether it is or isn't God knew that mankind would interpret it to mean a 24 hour day because that is all he has known. Therefore unless God gives a revelation that it is not a 24 hour day, we have no choice but to interpret it as we know a day to be. To decide it as otherwise only goes to confuse the issue and as we have to base all of life on the Genesis record, I am quite sure that God would not make something so important confusing and left open to conjecture and supposition.

We assume the writer of Genesis was Moses so the question is, where did he get the information from? If it was from God, why did he set out to confuse? If God said a day to Moses, what would Moses take that to mean?

If it didn't mean 24 hours, why didn't Moses give some sort of explanation? Later the Sabbath was celebrated from sundown Friday until sundown Saturday. That is 24 hours. The Sabbath was given by God on the seventh day of creation.

Does that mean the Sabbath then could be a thousand years?
