If Adam and Eve were True Human Beings, before sin dominated them, then what exactly is a True Human Being?

A Thing CREATED out of the ELEMENTS Of the Earth and Born on his (Earthly) habitat, and MADE ALIVE by the POWER of God.

What is it like to be a True Human Being?

It depends on what STAGE of Growth, Knowledge, Wisdom and Understanding the individual Person has obtained.

Glory to God,

There is a difference between before and after sin of Adam and Eve. Before, they were innocent and fearless;

Why did eating an apple make them knowledgeable? I think they hid their sexual parts for a reason, or are they still feeding you the children's story?

I think that you went outside the Bible with your conclusion '...our consciousness has stopped being honest and sees dishonesty, and ceases to know itself as a Being'.
This is some metaphysical conjecture. I'm fully aware that I am a human, as do you. For if you didn't, how in the world could you even pose the question as your OP? What criteria would determine what response was correct or not?
I hope that by the end of this, you're going to offer your opinion of what it is to be truly human, because for the life of me, I can't imagine what type of answer would be sufficient to such an esoteric question?
  • No conjecture. We are talking about 'Being', which is under the so-called worldly category of metaphysics (other than physical).
  • The criteria to a response is faith in what you know is true.
  • Truth is sufficient.

The first answer also points to 'being', or inner Being - spirit of God within the human body. This part 'knows' the Truth. If it were allowed, by our power of choice, to take the place of 'self', then we would be living the way of life Christ was talking about.
The second answer points to worldly knowledge gained through our own thoughts and feelings, but not by faith of what we know is true.

Yes, it made them knowledgeable instead of simply 'knowing' the truth. Truth precedes thoughts and feelings, however, knowledge dictates that thoughts and feelings precede Truth - which is a falsehood.

Hiding their sexual parts points to the outcome of self based knowledge of what gives them pleasure instead of Truth. Their new concepts of truth, love and faith change from unconditionality to self-imposed conditionality. They became self-centered instead of God-centered. Their reference point in life shifted from honesty to dishonesty, from harmony to disharmony.

A similar thing occurs in language, where in broken pigeon "talk-talk", simply means "talk."

Likewise, "hu" means "God", and in the end of understanding (that God is represented as male, as the man in a male/female marriage), so does "man" also mean "God." In other words, "human" means: "God-God."

Thus, to answer your question...to be a True Human Being, is to have Oneness with God.

Does one first must know evil to know what good is, or know what good is before knowing what is evil. Which came first. Does everything have to have its opposite to know what it is. Did Jesus have to be evil before being good. Since when does a tree need to bear bad fruit before it bear good fruit. Does not our inner Being, the spirit of God, within us already know what truth (good) is. Truth does not mingle with the untrue to know itself as being true. Truth is obvious and doubtless, it simply is, by God's will. As soon as doubt creeps in, one knows they are playing god, or trying to play truth in an untruthful way.

Fear is evil, and evil is fearful of the truth. Evil sows fear into a person in the hope that they will 'take the bait' and become fearful themselves. Why, because evil has no source of internal energy from Truth / spirit of God (without it there is no life). Evil has to feed of others to survive. Those who become fearful get tense and in that state of unrest they waste their life energy on what they fear, on what is unreal. Evil feeds off this wasted energy. Example, someone gets a kick out of putting someone down.

One must first have faith (the love of Truth) before overcoming fear. The fear of God is what an untrue human being experiences when coming close to God / Truth. They fear the truth. They know that their truth of falsehoods will be exposed and feel vulnerable to being judged. That is why repentance is so powerful, because it is a choice we can make to fearlessly judge our self and admit our imperfections to God before God does. The 'love of Truth' empowers us to sacrifice everything we made ourselves to be. We rather love what is true than our false-self. This honest surrender of self is unconditional faith. Without it, our so-called faith remains conditional and won't work.
I don't know for sure if someone must know evil first before they know good but Adam and Eve didn't know they were naked until they disobeyed God and ate the fruit of the tree of KNOWLEDGE OF GOOD AND EVIL....so reason it our for yourself but in my reasoning they didn't have knowledge of good or evil until their eyes were opened to see.

It is like a parent who feels their child's joy, pain, etc..
It's like a spouse who finds themselves saying "we" rather than "I."
It's like not having an opinion.
It's like a sane person who talks out loud as if to no one there.
It's like always having hope, love, peace, and joy.
It's like never being alone.
It's like knowing.

If you look at Christians, apart from their weakness (sinful flesh), you will see a "True Human Being." However, if you look even closer you will see Jesus walking on this planet today, in those same "True Human Beings." His spirit resides in Christians. I see Jesus most days, at church, at work and even at Harris Teeter. If I am home alone I just look in the mirror and look past my flesh and see Jesus also. Christians are indwelled by the Spirit of our Lord Jesus Christ. We, Christians, are his vessels.

No, sorry jshii, you will never see Jesus by looking at a Christian. Whether one looks past the flesh or not, for, it is not the flesh that is sinful, but the heart can be, as God created everything good.
In other words, the only reason that Jesus said, '...to see me, is to see the Father...', is because they were one in spirit (not ontology). One in spirit, in the same way that Jesus exhorted us all to become one with them, in the same way that they are one.
So, until a Christian can make that claim, you won't see Jesus by looking at a Christian. You might see faith or hope, or some semblance of righteousness, but not Jesus, ...maybe a John Knox or Paul Bunyan, etc, but definitely not Jesus.

Believe what you would like. But I stand firm in knowing that the Lord Jesus Christ dwells in my Heart and in My Mind. Galatians 4:19 My little children, of whom I travail in birth again until Christ be formed in you. God’s purpose for us is nothing less than Christlikeness.
