Why God hides.

Have you ever stopped watching something because you told yourself this is bad, this is terrible, this is evil, I don’t want to see this or be around that?.....You (we) have just hid ourselves from that thing. This is God, what He does when it comes to those things that He knows are evil, He turns away from them... And this is just the same as we do, when something causes us to wince and turn away from it, we hide ourselves from it.

For God does exist, and is somewhere, and wants to be found accordingly as we read in scripture. Even more, scripture says; He has promised to come to take up His abode in us. This is where He lives, this is where He speaks, this is where we will find Him either smiling or frowning on those things He sees us doing.... For just like us, when we turn away from this or that, we aren’t hiding from anyone, we just can’t be around those things and make ourselves known....Same with our God.

For He has kept His promise to come and make His abode in us if we are His... And so therefore, because He has kept His promise to come and abide in us. The more we turn from those things He turns from, the more will He make Himself known in us and the clearer His voice in us will be. And henceforth the closer our walks with Him be, and this shall we find by experience......

Turning away with God from those things that are evil and wrong. This is the road laid before us. We are to hide ourselves from those things that are evil and wrong, just the same like our God does.... Henceforth we become conformed to His image.

Be blessed as we learn to hide like God,

In Christ, Not me

God hides from no man, it is us who continually hide ourselves from Him, though it does seem that way at times.

Good post
Mjrhealth is right... God ain't hiding. But he is forgiving and overlooking our shortcomings. He sees them as covered by the blood of Jesus.

Good post

Thank you for enjoying the post. But scripture does say that God does hide;

Isaiah 45:15 (NASB)
Truly, You are a God who hides Himself, O God of Israel, Savior!

Understanding why and from what, was the purpose of my post....

For getting to know this God who hides, is our all, be blessed as we seek and search Him out, Not me

I think ( and to @mjrhealth ) that Father God at "this' time , has withdrawn Himself and folded His hands ...waiting to see just what man will do...then 'One Day" He will will say.. - " Ready or not, here I come!"

Obviously His Holy Spirit is with us as individuals , but where world matters are concerned I think He has drawn back.
He is not 'doing anything , in my view right now.

Just my own personal view.

He hides, is true, but not in the manner that your OP states. He does not hide from evil , or from anything for that matter, but rather, he remains mysterious, and his ways are unsearchable, therefore, from the human perspective, he appears hidden and discreet. Which is how, I believe, that Isaiah meant it.
I think a few of us find it inappropriate to regard his mystery, or his hidden aspect, as an expression of what he's trepid before, as in sin.
Trust me, sin hides from him, not the other way around, ....for even the demons know of his existence, and they shudder in fear.
I think that we all know what you're trying to say, but just your choice of words may be misleading or inaccurate?

Helen your own personal view is the fruit of your personal relationship. May this relationship grow and abound in you, as well as in all those that are His.

Well that certainly is the intention. However, there is more to it:

God also sent His Son into the depths of evil; and He intern sends us "as lambs among wolves", and says, "Follow Me."

So, the challenge is to know that even though our "Father in heaven; for He makes His sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust", that Jesus made it through, and with Him, so can we.

"answer the questions in your heart" seems like a denigrating reply, does it to anyone else?
