I guess I should say a formal hello even though many already know me from my own attempts at launching various forums over the last decade or two.
Forgive (please) my left of mainstream oft perceived heresies, which will inevitably emerge over the course of posting (especially evident to those who might read my 'Blog' once it's finished).
Just cling to my 'centre stream' essential convictions and tell me gently where I am otherwise 'astray',
God's blessing to all.....Mike

You are too humble Mike....some of your Christian Forums were the best days of "Christian Forums"...

Glad you are here.
You are far from alone in being 'left of centre'... you will find a mixed bag here. But sadly you will find some that get angry and rude.
Hopefully you won't get angry and react by deleting your membership here. Just put them on "ignore" then you won't see their posts any more.
And it makes for a much nicer Forum I can tell you :)

Sounds like I will be glad you are here.

Willie, Mike is unique ...God just made one .

He started at least three good sites over the years...they were good days.
The difference between those sites and this CB one is here, we have a good nucleus membership though small, but so many on here that join and go again..hence a membership of 7000...but most dormant so this one seems transient . ( like some churches)
Just like on here...there is a very mixed bag of beliefs.

Those back in the early 2000's we were pretty solid ..obviously we,d argue , but not nasty. 20 years later many of us are still good friends.

Mike will probably be cross that I am saying this ...but he himself 'tipped over his sites'...when he got tired of them or tired of us or just annoyed that they weren't perfect.. :D
He gave me many excellent years of good discussions , he has my deepest respect , I have been a nag both to him and at him, often...but that that never changed our friendships .
I am very glad that he is here...I like his sense of humour too. droll.
It seems that most of the British comedians came from northern England ( where he lives) ...they are born with a funny-bone.

Anyway.....you will love him or not...time will tell... LOL

Doubtless you'll remember 'Oneoff' as one of my usernames.
I suffered most from the frustration of trying to moderate the forum which insisted on the ethos of total small 'c' catholicity.
Where a particular Australian, despite having registered in agreement with that ethos, then went on to insist that I ban one particular member (one of our mutual friends here on CB) because he held different beliefs from himself.
Small 'c' catholicity remains a cornerstone of my faith and no way dare I to reject a non mainstream believer who might just conceivably have been accepted by God as a member of the Body of Christ.
Do you remember my 'signature' poem entitled 'Christ is a Diamond'?

I like the small "c" thing. (But, I can see it becoming a bit restrictive in conversations...… Unless the mention of that Roman Organization is prohibited. And that's a bit of overkill, to me.)

And to we come to 'Crunch Time'; in as much as I have completed my Blog, and folk can now see the extent of my Heretical 'Inclinations'. But please, please, bear in mind that they are only 'the best of a bad job' borne out of years of trying to make sense of the vast range of denominational controversies.
My voyage in search of the hidden treasure of the Kingdom of Heaven.

Where all a bit astray, thats why the path is so narrow so we cant stray too far. Enjoying your posts. We needed more light on this forum as the darkness gathers around.

God bless

I just read your blog, and I find many interesting things in there and also agree with many of the things you say. Such as changing cultures and certain biases ingrained in the lives of life long Jews who penned the scriptures. Also, I learned s new understanding of hell. (What the hell is hell?- LOL) Thank you for sharing such a thought provoking work. I so related to your view of praise and worship music being repetitious that it can put you in a trance! Never was a fan of those songs.
Again, thank you and God bless. Glad you are here brother!

Bless you Nancy,
This over sensitive old fogie was so fearful of being misunderstood and kicked back.

Well done Mike.
I wish that I had collected al, ‘my stuff’ and thoughts all together in one place.
We morph and change shape as we continue along the pathway toward Home. I’ve seen many of your ‘shapes’ as they have changed over the years. :)
