Since this seems to be an opportune moment, namely with the fires that Australia just went through, we just had some rain, we will see the bush bounce back, 2 weeks there will be photos of all the new growth but to add, a repost from a few years ago. 2011 I thinks

Seed

Funny how it is, when you can be walking down the road, just trying to get into the Lord, when thoughts start running through your head, Then came this though.
To Live one must die first.
Strange how it is but that is how it is for us. I guess that is why seeds are mentioned so often in the scriptures and in the bible.

See how it is, A tree forms a flower, one male one female, a bee, or moth , goes to the male receives some pollen, at some later time it goes to the female and fertilisers her with the pollen from the male. Then something wonderful takes place. The flower dies, it then forms a kind of womb in which the seed is formed and grows a little, then it dies. Who knows how long, it could be days or weeks or years, before it is released, but it waits, it has no mind of its own, it has no control; over its destination, But it waits, Here in Australia, our bush relies heavily upon fire, which could be years before one comes. Yet that seed will not be released until that pod has being scorched, then when it has, it falls, on to burnt. Dry ground. And then again it waits, still it has no control over its destiny.
Then the rain comes, it soaks into the ground, it reaches the seed, that has being hidden away for so long, and again something wonderful happens, the water soaks through the hardened outer shell that has protected it for so long, and reaches the inside, where the seed finally starts to grow, it expands, it breaks through the hard shell, forces down a root into the soil, for sustenance and for it to hold on, and it pushes up with its stem, forming new leaves as it reaches up through all the darkness into the light, then when it breaks through the ground, its leaves stretch out , to absorb all the light they can, for its from the light that life comes.
Even in rain forest, battles are fought, for the tree, that doesn’t breakthrough to the light, remains stunted, And unfruitful, while the tree that reaches the light, grows tall and strong, and produces many seeds of its own kind.
And that is how it is with us, waiting on God to purify us with fire, to be hidden whilst He prepares the day of our release, then He waters us with the Spirit and helps us to breakthrough the darkness, so we too can reach the light, which is Jesus, from whom our life comes, then we too will grow, for our foundation is sure, and Christ is our rock.

Thank you brother and friend. I enjoyed reading this blending of the seemingly tragic occurrences in Australia with the Word of God. Our Foundation certainly is sure in Him!

"And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose." Rom 8:28

@mjrhealth can I take your analogy one step further, with respect to the recent bush fires and the church.

The severity of the recent bush fires is because of the zealous "Greenie," as we refer to them in Oz, came preaching a new doctrine as to how to stop a perceived problem, without understanding of the root cause of the dilemma of the climate change that is impacting the whole earth.

Did J.W. Bush and John Howard from Australia give heed to this prophecy?

Jeremiah 51:13-16: -

13 O you who dwell by many waters,
Abundant in treasures,
Your end has come,
The measure of your covetousness.
14 The Lord of hosts has sworn by Himself:
"Surely I will fill you with men, as with locusts,
And they shall lift up a shout against you."

15 He has made the earth by His power;
He has established the world by His wisdom,
And stretched out the heaven by His understanding.
16 When He utters His voice —
There is a multitude of waters in the heavens:
"He causes the vapors to ascend from the ends of the earth;
He makes lightnings for the rain;
He brings the wind out of His treasuries
."
Does this not paint a picture since the 1990's about the weather in Australia mjrhealth.

Does not Jeremiah 50-51 point towards a king of the North who has lead a coalition of nations against Babylon and the consequences of not deystroying the land and the people of Babylon? Did the coalition of nations that entered Babylon destroy the land and its people as God required, or did they attempt to heal the land?

Within "God's people," we have "prophets" doing signs and wonders and bringing words, which have not come from God, as to how we can work out our salvation. They have littered the "chruch" with much fuel, like the "greenies" have done in our Australian bush, such that when the fire of purification comes, much is consumed, but then after the fire, will come rains to water the freshly scattered seeds of hope and the land will be revived.

"Christians" have been driving the nations policies with respect to the Middle East with false understandings and the like and we the church have been on the sideline shouting support for the "radicals" to continue in bringing Israel to their supposedly Promised Land for today, which is contrary to God's word in the Books of the Prophets.

The Israelites are where God wants them to be now so that they will be a blessing to all of the Gentile Nations, and He will gather them there to Himself and plant them in the fertile soil of "Israel," and will redeem them after the fullness in time of the Gentile trampling the Sanctuary and His Hosts in our near future.

The Nation of Israel will become a blessing to all of the nations where they are presently scattered. Will the present Gentile Church also be a blessing to all of the nations of the earth in the future or will we resist God's prophetic words about the future like we are doing today.

Shalom
