But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. - Galatians 5:22-25
We have looked into this subject before but it needs to be talked about as much as possible because it is who we are now in Christ. The subject is the fruit of the Spirit, the fruit of the Spirit is the character and personality of the in dwelling Christ. What that means is it is Christ lived or expressed as the fruit of the human being. For instance; you cannot produce any fruit of the Spirit, but fully capable of bearing the fruit that the Spirit produces. With that in mind we can see by the scriptures now it was never God's intention for you to have peace on your own, ie: I'm a peaceful person. The correct way to project who you are is; I have peace by Christ in me. The deal breaker with many when I have done one on one sessions and got on the subject of the fruit of the Spirit is; they can go along with me until I get to the point of "it never was God's intention for you to be happy."
I guess you can see why that can be a deal breaker. But to hear out the notion, joy, peace, hope, happiness and all the fruit of the Spirit is a result of Christ in you. The believer needs to have an understanding of these facts of scripture and live accordingly. A Christian without the knowledge of Christ fruits will have a hard time producing, and rarely able to express who they are in Christ. .
Our father does not give any of the fruit of the Spirit, it is who Christ is in you. Bless you in your search of the scriptures
