I once knew a hermaphrodite. She was several years younger than I at the time, probably around 12 or so. I know she was picked on quite a bit because she had hair growing on her face and had allot on her arms. She never said much and I felt bad for her. She was born with both male and female genitalia.
How does one "repent" of that?

@Nancy People so quickly forget that with sin came corruption. How lucky they are to be born "perfect".

Ha! For sure MJ,
This girl I knew became my sister in law. Whenever I was at the families home, she was always sitting far back from the rest of us. It was like they treated her like a caged animal. My heart went out to her. I couldn't imagine what her life was like...I do no know what became of her.

One of my best friends in highschool was hermaphroditic. I was the only one she had told. She was a Christian, but had a real difficult time with life. Some things are extremely difficult to live with. She drank herself to death about 20 years ago. And I didn't see it coming. I should have.

That is very sad. The outcasts of society go through things other "normal" people cannot ever conceive of. We can have empathy, even though we have not experienced these kind of things. Ah, such a broken world :(

Oh very good question...and hits where it is supposed to...
These are the kind of questions we have to wait until we see Him face to face.

One does ask ... Why do some poor souls have to 'overcome' so much more, and have so many great obstacles in life ...than others.

I sure wish we knew the answer to that. This world is so very broken and upside down. I have to believe that God has mercy on folks like this.

Such a person born different in the flesh than other would have terrible situations without a doubt in the society of men. For us when given the opportunity to interact with such an unfortunate, we must always act and react as Jesus would have done. Difficult perhaps, but for God in us, what is impossible? All the more reason why it is absolutely essential to surrender completely and always to God. The Holy Spirit can take us through anything, but not if we are quenching rather than nourishing the new man within...
