In order to be cleansed by the blood of Lord Jesus Christ, in order to be filled with the love and Holy Spirit... we must reply on Christ and His Words only. We can't be filled or be cleansed by the blood of Christ with blasphemy of men who thinks it came from Christ. So therefore we need to discern rightly between Good and Evil regardless of the doctrine sounds so good. Doctrine of Men will leave those souls empty.

My friend and I have been discussing and debating for the past three days on who the Holy Spirit is and if God live in people. My friend who is a Christian says the Holy Spirit is the breath of God, as it is mentioned in Genesis when God breathed in to Adam’s nostrils to give him life. But I say that the Holly spirit is God himself. My friend believes that God can not live in a person. I told my friend that since the Holly spirit is God, he ( the holly spirit) live in us when we believe in God and his only son. I would like to hear more on what you think on this.
On the first point you and your friend are both right. The Holy Spirit is the breath of God and God Himself. Technically the Holy Spirit is the Spirit that God is.One the second point you are right, your friend is wrong. Not only does the holy Spirit live inside us Jesus says tat He and the Father would make their abode in us. If your freind is a Bible believer you might want to share with him this verseJohn 14:23 Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.QUOTE (RichardBurger @ Mar 15 2009, 08:12 AM) index.php?act=findpost&pid=70857
Thank you Jordan, keep the cards and letters coming. I think the moderators should read your post and realize that it is your efforts to silence me, your efforts to get others to not consider what I write. Jordan, somehow I believe you would be right there with the Pharrisees saying the same things about Jesus because you, obviously, think you know everything.I don't, normally, reply to your rubbish but I do wish the moderators would say something abouit your attitude about those that disagree with you. I am not the only one that you follow around and make denigrating remarks about.
Not to side track the issue but I agree someone should say something to Jordan about her attacks on those in which she disagrees.

Prayer To The Holy SpiritWonderful Holy Spirit, You are the great teacher of the church. Holy Spirt, open my heart and give me a greater hunger for You than I have ever experienced. Let me become encircled by Your presence here with me.Touch my life with Your presence. Open my eyes to the truth of God's Word in my heart. Open my ears to hear Your still, small voice clearly. Open my heart to receive from you, wonderful Holy Spirit, that my life may be changed forever. Make Jesus real, and change me more and more into His image for the glory of God.In Jesus' name, amen.2 Corinthians 13:14 -- "The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Spirit be with you all. Romans 8:13,16 - For if I live after the flesh, I shall die; but if I through the spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, I shall live. The Holy Spirit bears witness with my spirit, that I am a child of God. Affirmation I dominate my mind and my body with my spirit since I maintain my spirit properly--feeding, strengthening, and dominating my inner man with the word. Song of Solomon 4:16 - Arise, north wind, and come south wind; blow through my garden and let its spices flow out. Invite the Holy Spirit, the Spirit of Life, to come and breathe through you. Desire that your garden be filled with flowers and fruits and that it's fragrance draw others to Him. The bridegroom (Jesus) wants your resurrection to be quick so that you might receive new life by the breath of the Spirit. The Spirit will bring you to life.Albert Finchwww.thekeys2kingdom.com

The Holy Spirit is what connects all sentient beings on a subconscious level. The Holy Spirit can be equated to the universal mind, the collective unconscious mind. The only way to be consciously aware of the Holy Spirit is to turn off the mind completely, as the mind is what deceives us. The mind blocks out true life, and it impossible to truly know the Holy Spirit and true, eternal life (God) if the mind is blocking it out.

Ephesians 1:9,10 - For He has made known to us in all wisdom and insight the mystery of His will, according to His purpose which He set forth in Christ as a plan for the fulness of time to unite all things in Him, things in heaven and things on earth. Observation The ultimate purpose of God is to sum up all things in His Son. In everything the Lord is doing on the earth, the ultimate purpose is to be conformed to the image of Christ. Therefore the basis of what he is saying to us is that we must be found in Him. Likewise, knowing that the basic communication of the Holy Spirit is about the Son, His ways, His works and His heart, enables us to have a basis for beginning to interpret what the Holy Spirit is saying to us.Albert Finchwww.thekeys2kingdom.com

John 16:8 And when He is come, He will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgement. AffirmationsAfter the Holy Spirit convicts me of sin and God declares me righteous, it takes a supernatural work of God to make me comprehend my new condition in Jesus Christ. This realization is just as supernatural as the moment I recognized I was lost. Only this time, I am being supernaturally awakened to the fact that I am righteous!Albert Finchwww.thekeys2kingdom.com

There are no scriptures in the King James Bible that speaks of this practise of addressing the Holy Spirit in prayer. God the Father has provided only one Way to approach Him and that is through the Son. John 14:6There is only One Mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus... the risen Saviour at the right hand of God the Father: 1 Timothy 2:5 & Hebrews 4:12-16The Holy Spirit being in us is definitely pointing us to the Son to testify and to glorify the Son Whom is at the throne of grace. We are not to break the commandment in approcahing God the Father by climbing up any other way. Jesus' own words describe the practise as a thief and putting anything or anyone.. inbetween us and Jesus is a thief (John 10:1,7-11) as the definition of the anti-christ means "instead of Christ". Since the Holy Spirit is clearly not the Mediator and since the Holy Spirit is clearly the Comforter as being in us, pointing us to go to Jesus, and not inbetween us and Jesus to go against Jesus' words in being described as a thief when He is God, therefore your quoted passage is unscriptural in according to the King James Bible. Romans 8:26-27 has the Holy Spirit making intercession indirectly since He is doing so with groans not uttered hence no sound. The "he" in verse 27 is Jesus Christ that searches the hearts and knows the mind of the Spirit that is in us and so that explains why the translators used "itself" instead of "Himself" because the Holy Spirit wasn't directly making the intercession but He is the means by which intercession is made by Him fulfilling the role of the Comforter and thus Jesus fulfilling thr role as the only Mediator between God and men in according to the will of God in keeping with John 14:6. As much as NIV and some other Bible versions changed the meaning of God's words, even in grammaritical error since the "he" that searches the hearts and knows the mind of the Spirit cannot be the "Spirit" that makes the intercession for the "he" is a seperate from us in knowing our hearts and seperate from the Spirit to know the mind of the Spirit.... thus the translators of the other versions did so in error in assuming the pronoun "he" was referring to the Spirit in verse 27, when in actuality, "he" is referring to Christ as confirmed in Romans 8:34 later on down from those verses of 26 & 27.If you read Matthew 6:5-8, you will see why prayer language is not only something God would not mimick as it was already in the world before the Gospel came, but is totally unnecessary as that is how the Holy Spirit can make intercession indirectly with no sound being uttered, fulfilling the role of the Comforter as Jesus does as the Mediator... and thus how the Father knows before we even ask or say anything. Those that come to Jesus shall never hunger nor thirst again. That is a promise: John 6:35Learning of Jesus through the Word is how we grow in our faith and love towards Him. The Holy Spirit may be the Guide and the Teacher, but Jesus Christ is the Good Shepherd as we are to follow His voice since whatever the Holy Spirit hears... that He speaks as He will bring into remembrance all things Christ has taught unto us: John 16:13Looking for the coming and going of the Holy Spirit is not what the Holy Spirit in us would lead us to do as there are other spirits in the world that would love to take the place of worship and glory from Jesus Christ... even for a moment whereas the Holy Spirit does not seek to share in that glory ( John 13:31-32 & John 17:1-5 & John 5:22-23) as He is seeking also to glorify the Son as well. John 16:14 If He will not speak of Himself ( John 16:13) Then why are people pointing to the Holy Spirit when the Holy Spirit in us is pointing us to the Word?May God cause the increase and correct you from what has been causing the falling away from the faith in these perilous times we are living in now. 1 Timothy 4:1-2 & 1 John 4:1-7 & 2 Corinthians 13:5

Pariah, with all due respect, promising is not a one way street. All promises are two way street. In order to come to Christ properly, we must not get deceive by doctrines that people claims to be of God. To come to Him, we must always lean on Christ. And to do that, we must check by what scripture says... Both the Old Testament and the New Testament. As the Old Testament is New Testament concealed and the New Testament is Old Testament revealed. Just remember that promise covenant is a two way street.Blessings.

I blame the Nicene Creed for this errant view of the Holy Spirit to be addressed and worshipped along with the Son. Do note that the Nicene Creed was done in ecumenical format and such should be seen as not an "agreement" to identify ourselves by... as sure as subtlety has crept in, the broadening of the Way has occurred. If the Holy Spirit will not speak of Himself but seeks to testify of the Son to glorify the Son, then no point of reference to the Son will be shared by the Holy Spirit in glory.. and that point of reference that is in contention is that Jesus is the Giver of Life... not the Holy Spirit. John 6:27 & John 6:32-36All the fruits of righteousness are by Jesus Christ: Philippians 1:11 as He is the one doing the work in us: Philippians 1:6 since He is the author and finisher of our faith: Hebrews 12:2 As He is the One keeping us from falling and able to present us fautless to His glory: Jude 1:24-25 Thus the reason why the Holy Spirit will not share in that glory as the name of Jesus is above every other name Whom He seeks to glorify. Philippians 2:9-11For that is the will of the Father in how the house of God shall be judged: John 5:22-23 The Son is the only way the Father will be glorified through: John 13:31-32 & John 17:1-5That is why to avoid false spirits as well as false prophets, those that chase after the Holy Spiriut should stop that practise which is a rudiment found in the world as they seek after other spirits to receive whereas we have received the promise of the Spirit by faith.. and not by sight of signs and wonders which were manifested for unbelievers.. not for believers. God is not to be felt in the worship place as He is in us. 1 John 4:1-7 cannot be applied if the Holy Spirit can also be in the worship place as if we can get closer to God in that way than we are already by Jesus Christ. We are to be witnesses of Jesus Christ and what He has done. We are not to be false witnesses as if the Holy Spirit is not in us or that more is needed as if we cannot stay resting in Jesus when we came to Him. Matthew 9:17 & Colossians 2:5-10 May the God recover many as He wills from the snares of the devil by narrowing the Way back to the straight gate Whom the Holy Spirit in us is pointing us towards in the first place and still doing so in order to avoid false spirits as well as false prophets. Jesus Christ is our first love, the Bridegroom. Keep your eyes on Jesus. Looking at the Holy Spirit or for the Holy Spirit means you are not listening to the inner Holy Spirit. Do not blur the lines given to the Son's with the Holy Spirit's. The Holy Spirit did not die on the cross; Jesus did. Jesus is the Head of the church. Ephesians 5:23 & 1 Corinthians 11:3 Jesus is the Good Shepherd. John 10:7-11 All invitations points to Jesus, none to the Holy Spirit: Matthew 11:28-30 John 6:35 John 14:6 Even scriptures are written to testify of Him to come to the Son: John 5:39-40 So if we are faithful witnesses of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, we would speak of Jesus Christ and him crucified: John 15:26-27 & 1 Corinthians 2:2
Pariah, with all due respect, promising is not a one way street. All promises are two way street. That two way street is one of surrender on our part for that is why the poor in spirit are blessed and why little children can come freely to Him for all they can do is trust the Lord. John 6:28-29 Jesus has declared what is on us to do. Granted we are to love one another, but we need Him in us to help us love even our enemies. So trusting Him at His Word for eternal life as well as to believe He will help us live as His... is what leads to His glory.Trust is the basis for all relationships. Jesus is the Good Shepherd as well as the Saviour. He promised us eternal life as well as an abundant life in that He would help us live as His thus it is written that the just shall live by faith. That is the only way anyone can know Him by taking Him at His Word that sin shall not haver dominion over our lives, and He will let us know what sows to the flesh and what does not as the scriptures are there to reprove us when we know not why we are being chastened by the Spirit in us.So yes... two way street as the emphasis and the hope is entirely on Jesus Christ. To believe otherwise is to come short of that rest in Jesus Christ... and thus lacking faith... and labouring in unbelief.

Ezekiel 37:2,3 - And He set me in the middle of a valley ; it was full of bones....He asked me, 'Son of man, can these bones live?'The Holy Spirit resurrection power that is released through faith enables us to speak to and encourage ourselves in the Lord. We are to bring forth new hope and speak life to those that are dead and despairing. As our ears are tuned to hear the Lord's voice His words will create the hunger and desire to disciple others into a higher spiritual life in Chirst. The Source of eternal life will connect us to others that will empower us to become all we are destined to be.Ezekiel 37:10 - "So I prophesied as He commanded me, and breath entered them; they came to life and stood up on their feet -- a vast army."Albert Finchhttp://www.thekeys2kingdom.com

2 Corinthians 5:17 - If any man is in Christ, he is a new creature; the old things passed away; behold, new things have come. When we were born again we received the very Spirit of God, and through His Spirit we were birthed into another realm; the Kingdom of Heaven. Through the vehicle of the Holy Spirit we are united to the actual person of Jesus Christ who is seated at the throne of God. Our heart is attached to the power of God. We are never alone. Christ is always with us. What we were as a person prior to salvation, we will never be again!Albert Finchwww.thekeys2kingdom.com

of course, since you wrote this post with your mind, and if it is the case that the mind always deceives us, then this post is itself, a deception :) this is known as a self referentially false statement, if it is true, then what you wrote is false... the mind is not evil, rather God told us that we are to love Him with all our heart, soul, MIND and strength...Mat 22:37-38 ESV And he said to him, "You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. (38) This is the great and first commandment."Paul says that in the midst of worship, we are to honor God by using our minds...1Co 14:15 ESV What am I to do? I will pray with my spirit, but I will pray with my mind also; I will sing praise with my spirit, but I will sing with my mind also."so the idea that we must disengage our minds is simple not rational or biblical... thus your post is neither rational nor biblical... no offense...blessings,ken
