Job 23:12) Neither have I gone back from the commandment of his lips; I have esteemed the words of his mouth more than my necessary food. Now Job had lost everything, his house, his massive amount of herded animals, his property, and his children (Job 1:18-19), and yet he still stood: In Job 2:7, Satan touched Job’s health and he had “sore boils from the sole of his foot unto his crown“: and yet despite all of this happening so suddenly, so crushingly quick, Job had hope. And what was his hope and comfort in, God’s word, God’s word. We see calamities going on in this world, in our life, (Psalm 119:81) “My soul fainteth for thy salvation: but I hope in thy word.” This is the truth, that contains what is promised of God, what is commanded of God, what is expected of God, and contains the hopes of God’s promise. You can go through a lot of pain, but the hope of eternal life, our love for Christ, our steadfastness in his word, his commandments, will preserver us; “Neither have I gone back from the commandment of his lips” Job said. Psalm 119:157 States “Many are my persecutors and mine enemies; yet do I not decline from thy testimonies.” This is faith, this is love, not just loving when it is easy, when we are accepted, but to love when we are hated by all those around us remembering that (Psalm 25:15) “Mine eyes are ever toward the LORD; for he shall pluck my feet out of the net.” (1 John 3:13) “Marvel not, my brethren, if the world hate you.”Luke 12:39) And this know, that if the goodman of the house had known what hour the thief would come, he would have watched, and not have suffered his house to be broken through. Those that don’t lean to his word, which do not heed God are going to be destroyed of the same, by His word in judgment. (John 12:48) “He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day.” Is it any surprise considering that many in the Church, or more rather claim to be in the Church of Christ, doubt and speculate about the accuracy about the word but never actually take time to contemplate and analysis it for themselves? Is it any wonder considering the falling away or the “Great apostasy” that is happening in the faith? When people reject God’s word, bad things, bad results, catastrophic results are going to happen, whether it be in the individual’s life on judgment day and they hear the Lord Jesus say (Matthew 7:23) “depart from me, ye that work iniquity”, or it be a nation, (Psalm 9:17) “The wicked shall be turned into hell, and all the nations that forget God.” Matthew 11:15) “He that hath ears to hear, let him hear.” (Revelation 2:11) “He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; He that overcometh shall not be hurt of the second death.” If people only realized how much life is not a game of chess that you can maneuver your way through and win; why because you don’t control the pieces, none of us do, but the God, our God, who is sovereign absolutely over all things decides what is going to happen to every soul. The word, The word, God has given, his gospel which MANY and I mean MANY, even many who are playing Christian, that is saying but not living like God is Lord of and ruler of their lives, don’t know or don’t believe, because it wasn’t convenient at the moment, because I was too busy, or because I am more worried about other stuff, temporal substance, rather than the eternal substance and promise given by God in Christ Jesus. (Matthew 6:33) “But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.” Jesus proclaims and why, because all things seeable will fade away like the dust. In one breath a man is created, in another he is gone. Why seek temporal, when we can seek the fountain of living waters? (Proverbs 14:27) “The fear of the LORD is a fountain of life, to depart from the snares of death.” Society, people, if they just, if we just open our eyes and look to heaven, look to his word, let it be a lamp on to our feet and a light on to our path, to by the grace of God, not only read His word, but also live it, apply it to our lives, utilize that which doesn’t have to be revitalized by vain philosophy and science of men. (Mark 7:7) “Howbeit in vain do they worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.” says the Lord to those that follow after the commandments, the false doctrine of men. We need to examine the scripture, the text that is the anchor for our souls, containing the law of Liberty, the ways of spiritual living, being pleasing to God, that is unfowlable, unfailable, but by all means we must not neglect it. It is considered foolishness to those who perish, those that hold no value to it, those that mock, those that scorn, those that laugh at it rather than fear it and heed it, and therefore it will be the death of themRomans 1:20) For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse: Romans1:21) Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.

You have inspired me to share twos incidents that happen this last year, Our Lord is making preparations for the Wedding supper and he is fulfilling Matt 22:8 as we are living here on earth, and perhaps it is Luke 12:39 that has taken place with my neighbor. I will share it with you and please comment with your thoughts on this for it is real and serious. My neighbor whom I have known for 20 yrs or longer, has been a woman with God's Holy Spirit. She attended a church that I left about 13 yrs ago. She believed in God but she gossiped a lot and she slandered one of the other neighbors who happened to be a young lady God was dealing with, but none of us knew it, for she didn't claim Jesus at that time, but this young lady's heart was one of caring for the elderly, helping the neighbors, and visiting the nursing home and she hung around a crowd I wanted nothing to do with personally. Around the fall of 08, I got out of my car and walked up to speak with my neighbor who was walking her dog and stopped at my driveway, I asked we discussed the world events, and she is a Sabbath keeper, which is fine, but she believed more in the man who was the founder of the church that taught how to know God. He had some wrong doctrines but, her self-righteousness was so, that I didn't realize that God was using me to speak with her. The end she was encouraged to know that if this founder was alive he would change to what God was showing him and would not stay in the wrong teachings. She refused to look at God for HIS leading her instead of the churches teachings. When I saw her the next time she was arrogant and made it clear that she was going to continue as the church taught and not change from the doctrines she lived by claiming the Lord Jesus. Jesus made it very clear to me that she was going to have the H.Spirit removed from her. About two months ago, her dog was killed by some pit bull dogs, she was attacked, God's Holy Spirit has been removed from her. She is having a very difficult time. It is very scary. This is just one of two incidents that the Lord Jesus has involved me in. The other is a woman who has denied Christ as her Savior, she was married to a man in the church I knew, and they divorced. She was not treated well by this man. He is a deacon. I have been her friend and no one in the church could change my decision and I stood my ground being her friend and helping her. She was invited to the Wedding supper about a year ago, by Jesus Christ through me. The King asked her 3 times before she would accept the invitation. As I speak this, the Lord knows I am speaking truth, Jesus invited her and she accepted and will be in the coming kingdom of God that is coming to the earth to be established upon the earth soon. Our Lord made it clear to me she has been invited. She made an interesting comment to me about being invited by the King, she said, Vickie, "I don't deserve to be there."The Lord says in Matt 22:8 the ones invited did deserve to come, so the servants went out into the streets to bring people in that were both good and bad. This lady believes in reincarnation. Though, I will say, she is starting to read the bible now, and I am in awe of God and what he has done. Here are the two true incidents that I have personally experienced with the Lord and these two people. Did the neighbor not know the hour the theft would break in to her house? For if she would have known that the Lord was coming and searched her heart and questioned her to see where her heart was, Jesus came and searched her and she wasn't ready. Her house is left desolate the H.S. has been removed. This is the theft who breaks in the house, because if she had known she would have been ready to respond correctly. She will not be at the wedding supper. Our Lord is busy accomplishing every thing he prophesied concerning all that must happen before he comes. He has sent the message the tribulation is coming through the Seed of Ishmael, and He is the one sending the SWORD upon the land. Those who are true to heart in him will trust Jesus through this and are coming into eternal life. Protect the house you've been given. Be true to Jesus in your heart, to change, and follow him and not man. The founder of her church served God, and he did make changes as God showed him his mistakes, but the people who took over when he died continued in his teaching and took control of many brethren. She would have been okay if she would have been willing to follow Christ when He spoke to her. In Christ's precious and holy name Vickie

I will say this about the first story, God sees all things, there is no such thing as seceret sin with God! Matthew 24:5) For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.Jeremiah 17:5) Thus saith the LORD; Cursed be the man that trusteth in man, and maketh flesh his arm, and whose heart departeth from the LORD.For the second story, by the grace of God I hope that she gets that false concept of reincarnation out of her. Rome wasn't biult in a day and it may take her a moment or two, only by the working of God that she shakes off such teachings.

Job is my most favorite book in the whole entire Bible. To me it shows Gods majesty completely."Does the lightening report to you, saying, "Here I am!" ? How awesome is that? Funny that thunder is referred as reports by scientists! "Have you seen the store houses of rain?"If it doesn't show Gods comand of everything I don't know what does. God even comands satan! What's more satan obeys! LOL<

Job's words, 'Though he slay me, yet will I trust in him' are a real evidence of trust.
I like that attitude of Job. Even being with boils and having hardship and suffered His family being removed, he honored God. He set the example of how all God fearing believers must be. How often I hear, why did God do this, I can't believe God is anything but loving and would never hurt. Well, God brings disaster as well as blessings. It all works for the Good of God and those he is working with. The testing of our faith encompasses hardships, not prosperity. Vickie

The book of Job makes me nervous. All those things that happen to him. I wouldn't be able to handle even one very well. That book makes me feel even more unworthy than normal. Now Jonah, that book I can relate to.
