Do you belong to "the [true] Church" (1 Tim 3:15)?, if so, how do you prove it?

Which do you believe Christians should observe? Do you truly believe Adventists are advocating this, or are you being deliberately obtuse,? When are people going to grow up and talk about these things as adults?
It is as a religious man you speak, as one who is required to keep its laws and rules and statutes, it is as seventh day Adventist you are, because it it the SDA rules you follow, and what has that to do with Jesus.

Do you wish Jesus to become a SDA and reject His own Grace???

Which of the Seventh-day Adventists in this thread, ever said otherwise?

We teach (and constantly state, though strawmen by others (non-Seventh-day Adventist) are continually produced otherwise):

Isa_45:25 In the LORD shall all the seed of Israel be justified, and shall glory.

The foundation and position of the Seventh-day Adventist movement.
So you are a christian playing at being a Jew, So confused.

Oh you mean you still dont get it. ...
Jesus was to be baptized, and just before doing so, stated the following:

Mat_3:15 And Jesus answering said unto him, Suffer it to be so now: for thus it becometh us to fulfil all righteousness. Then he suffered him.

Mat 3:16 And Jesus, when he was baptized, went up straightway out of the water: and, lo, the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon him:

How is the word 'fulfil' used in this context?

Are Christians to 'fulfil' the Royal Law (Ten Commandments, the law of Kings/Priests; Exodus 19:6)

Jas_2:8 If ye fulfil the royal law according to the scripture, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself, ye do well:

2Co_10:6 And having in a readiness to revenge all disobedience, when your obedience is fulfilled.

Rom_8:4 That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

Does the Law (Ten Commandments) remain to be still fulfilled by those who follow Christ Jesus, by the Holy Ghost/Spirit?

Gal_5:14 For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this; Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.

Rom_13:8 Owe no man any thing, but to love one another: for he that loveth another hath fulfilled the law.

Jesus is "the" Seventh-day Adventist, from Genesis to Revelation. Genesis 2:1-3; Exodus 20:8-11; Psalms 40:7; Zechariah 2:10; Luke 4:14-21; Hebrews 10:7; Revelation 22:7,12,20; Mark 2:27-28; Colossians 1:16; 1 Corinthians 15:44-46. Perfect image to perfect image. Alpha to Omega, First to Last, Beginning to Ending, Author to Finisher, Seventh-day to Advent.

Jesus is Israel; Matthew 2:13-15,19-21; Hosea 11:1; and his Children (Disciples) are his people, John 13:33; Hebrews 2:13; Isaiah 8:16,18.

Nope because it is already fulfilled and if so why are you still trying to finish what Jesus already done. Such foolishness, make the works of Christ of no effect .

Rom 1:21 Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.
Rom 1:22 Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,
Rom 1:23 And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things.
Rom 1:24 Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves:
Rom 1:25 Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.

And so shall it remain till the scales are lifted from your eyes.

1Jn 1:5 This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.
1Jn 1:6 If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth:
1Jn 1:7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.
1Jn 1:8 If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.
1Jn 1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
1Jn 1:10 If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.

I would contend that it is not obedience that obtains and/or maintains our salvation; but that it is our salvation that obtains and/or maintains our obedience.
Which is what we have been saying all along. Without Me ye can do nothing.
There is a question that arises. If ones lifestyle or habit of life includes an expression of disobedience regarding the commandments of God, what does that have to say regarding ones salvation and profession of repentance?

No, 'your points' all had references cited to try to substantiate your apriori. It is in reverse. You did not actually cite scripture, except in the instance of "great city" which was placed in actual quotations. What you did was assume your positional points and merely attempt to attach scripture references to what you already believe. You did not substantiate any of the points, which are merely the Great Whore's (Revelation 17; Roman Catholicism's) wine.

Roman Catholicism is not the true Church as they (admittedly) do not "keep the commandments of God" (Revelation 12:17, 14:12).
Hmmmmm......who decides if one is keeping the commandments of God?

Is this a legitimate question or are you just trying to provoke?

Stranger
Hi Stranger,

The question has been asked and debated since before the dawn of Christianity and Scripture speaks of apostasy. If you think little ol' Mary is trying to be provocative then surely you must think that men have been provocative for thousands of years.

To my mind the ideal church is when people praise and worship God together, whether it is in the singing of hymns, reading the Bible together, testimony, and a word from the pastor that brings glory to God and draws us nearer to the Lord.

Cardinal Gibbons:

... such as found in "Faith of our Fathers" google books pagination 108, "The Church and the Bible"; "... is not every Christian obliged to to sanctify Sunday, and to abstain on that day from unnecessary servile work? Is not the observance of this law among the most prominent of our sacred duties? But you may read the Bible from Genesis to Revelation, and you will not find a single line authorizing the sanctification of Sunday. The Scriptures enforce the religious observance of Saturday, a day which we never sanctify." - Faith of Our Fathers 1877 and as such at the beginning in the Introduction it is clearly said, "...in which the doctrines of the Roman Catholic Church are expounded by one of her own sons."

Hi,

I could be wrong but it seems to me that you are suggesting that we should not sanctify Sunday?

Presumably the 'True Church' cannot be a 'denomination' of Christianity, and if there really is such a thing then it would have to have existed since Matthew 16:18 came into effect. SDA has only been in existence for less that 200 years and if SDA tries to claim retrospective existence then I'm afraid that they would have to line up behind Catholicism and its Orthodox equivalent (and who accepts their retrospective claims?).

The First church was cared for the apostles. They were filled with the Holy Spirit and the church was mightily blessed.

Hi Cooper,

I think I get the gist of what you or trying to say but it leads me to a question: After the Apostles died who cared for "The First church"? Was it still "mightily blessed" after they died?
