Hi to all , and this the way that I see Luke 13:6-9 . 1) I believe that the Fig Tree is Israel . 2) A certain man ( the Father God ) had a fig tree in His vineyard , and found no fruit , in other words , they were not responding to John the Baptist message of Repentance . 3) In v7 , the Father says to Jesus , 3 years ( Christ ministry ) and no figs , why let it take up space , cut it down . 4) Then in v 8 , Jesus answers the Father , let me dig around and let me put fertilizer around the tree . 5) And in v 9 , Jesus says , if it bear , fine , and if not it shall be cut down .6) We know that in Acts 28:28 Israel was definitely set aside and has been set aside for 2000 years , for God is not dealing with Israel and most Christians do NOT believe that they have been set aside .

There is the land of Israel that was barren for 2000 years untill May 1948 this is the parable of the fig tree ...and there is spiritual Israel which are the 10 lost tribes (that lived in N. Israel before they were scattered) becoming the Christain nations of today and Judah, (w/Benjamin and some levites) that lived in S. Israel that are the Jews of today These are the two sticks that will be rejoined after Christs return ..(Eze 37) Parable of the Fig Treehttp://www.christianityboard.com/index.php?showtopic=2808Understanding the birth right and the sceptre ( who is Israel Judah)http://reluctant-messenger.com/judahs_sceptre_101.htm

Why do you think 1948 Isreal becamw a nation again? They did not repent. Usually repentance was needed for prophecy to change its mind. What say you.

Because there was no nation of Israel since 70 A.D. until 1948... and repent for what .... God will fulfill his prophecy on his time table it isnt contingent upon men and Judah is a remnant preserved to save the Law ....Its the time of the gentile not Judah ...it is happening exactly how God intended it to God divorced Israel (the ten northern tribes) not Judah (Jews) .....Israel the 10 northern tribes became the Christian nations
